Japan Trip 2017 : Part 4 (Universal Studios Japan, Osaka)

12:28:00 AM

Heyyyy you guysssss...

Let's continue with our Japan trip, shall we???

We went to Universal Studios Osaka next!

3 little piggie in USO (okay so apparently it's USJ, whatever) :P
The walk towards Universal Studios Osaka was really exciting haha
Because everything is so much more exciting in Japan, even the stores :))

I mean... Doesn't this place looks magival already?  I didn't remember what this was but apparently this is The Park Front Hotel
One Piece fans will go nutz. At least i think it's One Piece... Right??? Anime fans, don't butcher me!
Seriously, all the store signs are sooo cuteee
And Japanese are so cuteeee... So many of them wore absolutely adorable onesies and these two are extra CYUTEEE!!! I want one too...
Everybody's all smiles
Little O was super excited
SO excited!

Not knowing that all the excitement will turn into stressed out expressions *LOL*. Thing is... We went there during international holiday... So both Japanese and foreigners are piling into Universal Studios Osaka and it was BAD.. and i mean BAD OMG. We spent the whole day here and only got to ride... probably 4 rides. It was so not worth our time :(. I felt super bad when Little O asked why he couldn't ride more rides, oh well... We did stay until the park closed so it's like there's anything we can do!

I honestly have never been so disappointed after visiting a theme park *LOL*. I've been to theme parks during peak seasons, but it's never been this BAD. If i really think about it, we only rode 1 proper ride while the other ones are just like shows and stuffs. That's how badddd that was... If you're thinking of going to Universal Studios Osaka during peak season, i would actually say skip it-unless you're more interested in sight seeing, picture taking and snacking like CL, then it wouldn't be so bad for you. For riders like us, it's just not worth our time and energy. Plus i'll always prefer Disneyland over Universal Studios anyway.

Still, there were good things too happening today hahaha so it's not like it's a total bust.
Little O was still blissfully unaware of the hours of queuing waiting for him haha
I've only ever been to USS before so i marveled at how they look so much alike... But also very different. Universal Studios Osaka is massive if compared to USS!

Our brains were seriously frozen i think because HR actually lost his ticket >.< so he actually had to buy a new one
It looks exactly like USS' front. Hm. Do all Universal Studios have similar entrance?

Pretty sure we took a very similar pic in USS *LOL*
OMO! Pink Fairy! I actually have absolutely no idea who she is tho. Saw the name Moppy at the sign and i thought her name's Moppy, apparently not huh? Anyone?
I am not a bun person, so every single bun that i take photos of/with are usually not mine *LOL*. CL, on the contrary, keeps on buying and eating buns in theme parks *LOL*. This Hello Kitty is count #1
Can't remember what this is... Snoopy ice cream wafer? Pretty sure it was hers too *LOL*

The first ride we bumped into was Jaws, Little O being a huge fan of such stuffs immediately nagged to ride it.
OMG THAT SLANTED SMILE IS SO INFURIATING!!!
First ride and it already crushed our soul *LOL*. The queue went on and on like a gigantic snake! CL, KC and HR who went in much later but head to the single rider actually finished riding and we're not even close to half way through the queue! We had to abort mission and jumped to single rider line (which is thankfully much shorter) and ride them individually! Little O went to ride with MT thank God, i was ready to make him go second so someone can wait for him at the end of the ride coz i don't know about you, but i am not about the let my 9 (he's 10 now) year old son wander around a theme park in a foreign country where he can't even speak the language of!

Obviously the "guide" blabbered in Japanese so i didn't understand a single word he said *LOL*.
I think only CL thought of taking a selfie while riding so i just stole her photo *LOL*
LOL at this ridiculous jaws hat

Before we went to queue at Jaws, we actually tried to go to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter (the single thing i am most excited about to be honest) but apparently we had to get tickets to enter (weirdly enough later on when we actually head back to it, they didn't even check our tickets WTF, so i am a bit confused on how the tickets actually work) and we can only enter at specific time for a limited time as well, i guess to control the number of people entering the place at any given time. Clearly it doesn't work that well, considering the brain numbing amount of people crowding the Wizarding World of Harry Potter when we were there -___-.
So we decided to stroll around and try to locate any ride that has a short queue so we could maybe ride one before it's time to head to Harry Potter. We didn't find one -____
Apparently THIS is Moppy and i believe it's my spirit animal. Apparently i'm not the only one who think so, a while back KC found a video of Moppy character being cute and scared of a tiny step-he actually tagged me and said it's a lot like me (is it a he or a she anyway?). Well, Moppy is pink, fluffy and incredibly cute, so i'll take that!
We actually wandered around to the kiddies area
CL's at it again with her character buns :))
And she def has a thing for merchandises
That kiddie ride is so cute, kinda looks like giant lollipop for me:))
Checking out the indoor kiddies area, love the concept of this ball pit-so so cute!
I really enjoyed the visual :))
Little O checking out the play ground half heartedly
OMG how CUTE
I really like the look of this area of Universal Studios Osaka, so cute... so kawaii... so pink... Probably can't find it in any other Universal Studios, but the crazy number of people really... truly... stress me out
Hello Kitty Couture. I would wear that, actually
Hello Kitty and Dear Daniel came out dancing, and i danced with them. If you watched my Instastories back then, you probably saw that *LOL*
It's finally time to head to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter! This section is totally different and secluded from other parts of the park, you really feel like you're entering another world. I don't know if i tell you enough, but i am a HUGE HUGE Potterhead so i was extremely excited to visit this section!
Look! Weasley flying car!!!
I was giddy with excitement when we saw the gate !!!
LOOK! Hogsmeade!!!
It's impossible to take a nice pic here but who cares, we took a photo anyway!
Hogwards express!!!
Zonko's Joke Shop!
Even seeing the store displays are totally magical for me T.T. Even though i didn't really enjoy my visit to Universal Studios Osaka, but i really felt blessed to be here (the Wizarding World of Harry Potter, i mean)! Any kind of Harry Potter's world comes to life is a big deal for Potterheads like me!
There was SO MUCH to see it's overwhelming
Oh hey boy, didn't know you noticed my camera
Hm.. Don't even remember what that was. Btw, look at hunny's face! He suffered some kind of weird allergic while we were there that his cheeks were covered in red, pimple-like bumps! They were not pimples tho (he almost never gets any) and they disappear once we arrived back to Indonesia
Honeydukes!
Bertie Bott's jelly beans!
The display of the chocolate frogs are animated and super magical!
I really really want to go to London Harry Potter World now!
Like all Potterheads, one of our life long dream is to taste butterbear :))
So we immediately made a beeline
Hunny liked it. I'm not a soda fan so it was just so so for me *LOL*
The Monster Book of Monsters!
Wand store!
So hunny and Little O actually wanted to buy a wand-but the price was insane!!! I told Little O that i would buy him one, but then he can't buy more toys in Japan-that brought him to his senses *LOL*

We then tried to queue up for the Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey  ride, but after queueing for almost an hour (in which Little O had begun whining and on the verge of tears), the queue split up. It's actually 1.5 hours more queue to the ride or we can just have a walk through the castle. I seriously cannot take any more crazy queue and Little O would definitely burst into tears so we decided to just do the walk through... Which was def NOT impressive *LOLOLOLOL*. So my advise is, if the queue to this ride is that insane-just skip it >.<...
Just walk around, take hundreds of pics, soak in the Hogsmeade and pretend you're really in the wizarding world instead :))
I really loved the Wizarding World of Harry Potter and consider it magical, but i will be thinking long and hard to come back anytime soon >.<. If only it wasn't so crazy crowded!

We didn't get to do much after, it was already late afternoon when we finished up at the Harry Potter section and i think we only went to see Backdraft and nothing more. I really would only consider visiting Universal Studios Japan again during off season!
I collect theme parks' cute headgears and i always buy 1 whenever i visit any-earlier i saw girl wearing a Sesame Street Pompom headband and i really want one. I finally found it, but i also took the time to take selfies with other kawaii headgears :P #kiasu
This Hello Kitty one is soooo pretty
The minion is too cute too!
Olla!
LOL
Anyway, since we actually split up with the others-we sent each other photos of stuffs we ate/encounter via Wassap group-and Her+DB seems to be obsessing over Minions?
Coz i think they sent us this pic? Or was it CL *LOL*
And Little J got this... Almost lost it the next day *LOL*
Too cute! Would def buy one for Little O if only it could fit all of his school books! Not sure if he'd wear it tho hahaha
Yeah, def Her's family's hands *LOL*
Someone also sent a photo of these hilarious guys
:)))))!
Tried to watch this Christmas show but we were so far away *LOL*
I sometimes wish that Little O is still very little so i can take him off school and go travel without worrying about him struggling to catch up :( coz theme parks on holiday seasons are quite a nightmare
LOL i'm sure i told him to open his eyes widely
Yep, that's the headband that i picked
Meet my twin, Moppy! Moppy and Mindy, even our names match
We went back to our hotel (we stayed in a serviced apartment actually. It's pretty nice! I forgot to take photos i think...), worn to the bone... And ofc we called it a day.

But before i end this post, i just want to share some foods that we had the night before at Osaka station when we just arrived! We all went to different restaurants and had different things so we show each other via photos haha.
Ordered the spagetti set for Little O
And hamburg set for hunny
The pudding looks like a sunny side up and super cute!
Her's fam and HR had ramen i think
OOHHH look at that egg!
While KC and his family decided to splurge
And ordered crazy exp meat *LOL*
If i make you hungry, i'm sorry! I'm hungry too now zzz!!!

Imma wrap this post up, next post will take us more into Osaka-please look forward to that!
