Pink and Undecided

Last Haul Post Before I Go to Europe :D

Heyyllow!!

How's your Sunday? Did you have fun going out? Or did you have a super lazy Sunday at home, sleeping in and being a total couch potato? I was the second one *LOL*. Been going out a lot this week and as usual, after being active for a week, the sloth inside of me insisted on a day off haha. Will be going out again starting tomorrow, and we're flying off to Jakarta (our European tour's starting point is Jakarta) on Friday, gyaaaa *muffled scream*, four days to go!!!

If nothing goes wrong (like, suddenly our visa was declined or something, touch wood!!!) then this is going to be my last haul post before Europe! I think i'm gonna leave a drafted haul post for #Undecided to post so you might be able to read another haul post from me while i'm having fun in Europe.

That reminds me, Rosemary told me she's going to miss my blog posts when i go to Europe (because i won't be around for two weeks), i told her not to worry because i've prepared some filler entries that i'm gonna ask #Undecided to post while i'm in Europe (plus #Undecided suddenly came out from her hiatus a few days ago, that gave me a teeny tiny little hope that she would write at least a few times during my trip, therefore avoiding this blog from turning into a deserted place hehe), and Rosemary was like "Hm yea, but that's if #Undecided won't forget to post them, right?" LOLOLOL!!! Rosemary sure knows #Undecided well, even #Undecided said so herself!

Okay okay, i'll show you guys what i've got this time. All the stuffs were purchased (or received, there are a few gifts i got here too) on February still, OMG, but it's the last haul for February *phewww* :D.

Some of the stuffs, i got some others i didn't take picture of together with the rest, keep on reading to see what those stuffs are!

This time other than beauty stuffs i also got some accessories.

Lame Gold Wings earrings from Accessorize

I'm sure most of you knows Accessorize, i saw them everywhere whenever i was overseas, it's a famous retailer from UK. Now, i've only been to Asian countries so far and Accessorize stores in those countries mostly sells accessories (obvi) and bags, sometimes they'd have a small section of clothing as well. But i read in some UK blogs that they actually are selling make up and other stuffs as well, how interesting! Accessorize store's only starting opening in Surabaya very recently.

I quite like their stuffs but find their prices (in Asia) to be quite outrageous. Especially i guess because the accessories market in Indonesia's been spoiled by China made, Korean inspired accessories sold at a super low prices on online shops *LOL*, but the stuffs in Accessorize is definitely superior in quality compared to those cheap China stuffs. Not that i'd buy them much *LOL*, you know i'm a bargain hunter and pretty cheap-assed person *ROFL*.

So i've patronized those Accessorize stores in Surabaya a few times, browsing carefully. Too bad the pretty ones i really liked were selling at a crazy high price (like IDR 200.000-300.000), i didn't love them enough to actually got them! Ha! And one day i got so frustrated because i couldn't find anything to buy at all at GM and i was in a foul mood *i think both my mum and hunny annoyed me a lot that day* and i needed a quick perk-me-up. Been eyeing this lame gold wing earrings for a while, it's actually very cheap but i guess i wasn't that into it at first.

The more i see it, the more i like it, i'm glad i got it. It's only IDR 36.000, with such a nice quality i can say it's dirt cheap hehe. They got a matching dainty bracelet and i was contemplating on buying it too, but it was a lot more expensive (IDR 89.000 or something), i guess i really am too cheap *LOL*. Didn't get the bracelet in the end, Accessorize does hold promotions pretty often, if the bracelet's still there the next time they are having a sale (and provided the bracelet's also on sale!) i might get it :p

Next are stuffs i got from another newly opened accessories store in GM, Chibiland.

They were having an opening sale, 20% off all items. But then i realized that the brand i bought was Valencia Fashion and they are like, almost always on 20% off in department stores WTF. I do like them so i don't regret getting them.

Rose Stone Flower Necklace with Tassles

The original price of this necklace was IDR 79.000 so it was IDR 63.200 after discount. Not bad, eh. Valencia Fashion's stuffs are also quite of a high quality.

Neon Orange and Gold Spiky Bracelet

I love spikes (and studs) and i love neon colors, so this bracelet's perfect! (Oh i know i don't look like the types who likes spikes and studs *LOL*, but i really do!) It's IDR 59.000 before discount, IDR 47.200 after.

Antique Mint and Pink Stretchable Ring

This is my favorite piece from all three! I LOVE pastel colors, the mint and pink against the unique silver platform is a total perfection! It's also the priciest of the bunch, i wouldn't get it if i didn't really like it! It's IDR 99.000 before discount, IDR 79.200 after.

There were other pretty stuffs in the store but they were quite expensive, so i stopped myself after those three items, maybe next time :p.

Next on the accessories haul... I didn't buy these necklaces, it was a gift from G (one of my BFF, in case you didn't know). I think she got it for me when she was in... errmm... Solo? I cannot remember. We got a habit of buying each other (and A and #Undecided) little gifts whenever we went on a vacation outside Surabaya :p. This little things like this i think are quite important to show each other that we still care, and that's essential to make any relationship lasts. No wonder we're all still BFFs after almost 16 years (or in G and i's case, 18!). The price never matters, even if it's more than dirt cheap we'd still appreciate it because of WHO got them for us!

Blue and Pink Apple Necklaces

I think i'm gonna wear the blue one tomorrow. I like wearing stuffs i got from someone when i go out with them, maybe it's my way to let them know i love the stuffs they got me and i really appreciate them.

Oh, i almost forgot the last piece of accessories i got this time.

Mint Green Flowery Lace Ring

It's dirt cheap lah, only IDR 4000 hahahaha (USD 0.40) but it's really cute on! You can't see it in the picture but there's a little faux pearl in the middle of the laces. I'm really into those floral stuffs nowadays, i'm dying to have flower wreath and stuffs, but i cannot seem to put on such stuffs (coz my hair's really soft and slippery! wreath and stuffs cannot seem to take a hold and stand on my head at all!) so i'm settling down on floral headbands (you'll see them in future hauls posts) huhuhu. Very envious whenever i see those cute bloggers (like XiaXue, Sophie or Cheesie) wearing cute flower wreaths on their blog posts!

Next thing i'm gonna show you, it's more of an outfit stuff than accessories, it's a thick black legging i got from... Okay i gotta be honest, i don't remember where i got this. At all. Not a slightest clue. Zzz. I'm pretty sure i purchased it online, probably from one of those websites (not disdus, i just checked my purchase history. Maybe qoo10.co.id? Hmmm no, i just checked my qoo10 and it's not from there either. PFFFTTTT this is driving me insane!!!) and it was pretty cheap (i'm sure), maybe around IDR 50.000 or so.

Just a basic black thick (knitted) legging, i'm bringing it to Europe, i think i'm gonna wear a leggings and tights everyday there. I'm just not a jeans person and i would need something i'm comfortable in and it also needs to be flexible. I think leggings are the answer for sure. Now, if only i can remember where i got this from... (don't you just hate it when this happens? I'm really curious and yet i cannot remember at all! ZZZ).

Moving on to beauty stuffs!

False Eyelashes Case from Daiso, A Set of 5 Pairs of False Lashes

That eyelashes set was the first upper falsies i ever got (i mistakenly bought lower lashes before). It was dirt cheap, IDR 55.000 i think, i got it from G's cousin's online shop. They came with a tiny little tube of glue, but the glue's a total rubbish. If you got the same set of falsies i suggest you to chuck the glue to the bin straightaway. A total utter rubbish, they took forever to dry out and once they do they'd start peeling from your lids, so what's the point???

As soon as i made the decision to buy false eyelashes i hunted for a cute case straightaway *LOL* (yes, i'm hopeless). Wanted the cute round baby pink with black bow kind all of the beauty bloggers seems to have from Daiso but unfortunately they were out of stock in Surabaya's Daiso at that time, i couldn't wait (yes, again, i'm hopeless) so i got this long square one. Not as cute but quite pretty too. Coz it's from Daiso obvi it's IDR 22.500 lah, i think i'm gonna buy the round case too (they already re-stocked them) lah zzz.

Mini O.P.I nail polishes

No no, didn't get the Burlesque mini set, at least not all of them. And no, one of the nail polish wasn't missing. LOL. Got those minis from G's cousin (the same online shop i got the falsies from), i was interested in Mariah Carey liquid sands ones but wasn't willing to buy the set. Why? Because i was only curious of the liquid sands ones lah, i wasn't sure i was going to like it (because i do not like matte nail polishes), i just wanted to try one out. Then G told me her cousin's splitting the set up, as long as there were people who wanted each polish. So of course i joined in the fun!

I ended up with two liquid sands minis and one from the Burlesque set.

I'm not sure of the name of the shade from Burlesque (I think it's Take The Stage), i will google them later. The liquid sands ones i got in Can't Let Go and The Impossible. I already used The Impossible and i kinda like them i think, i will review them later. I paid IDR 40.000 (USD 4) for each since G's cousin's selling the set for IDR 160.000. It's probably not cheap but it's a good way to try out polishes you are not crazy about in many shades. Minis are the best! (especially if there's a seller who's willing to split sale them LOL).

Last one's from The Body Shop again haha.

If you read this blog since December you'd know i went on a little crazy about The Body Shop for awhile during their sale season. I received a lot of their vouchers, i think i got these two using the last of my IDR 100.000 voucher. I offered hunny to stock up on TBS's deodorant stick since he loves them so much (bought one a few weeks before), those two deodorants would lasts him a very long time so even though they're pricey (IDR 99.000 i think) it's still very value-for-money, plus we bought both of them using vouchers so... they're practically free, no?

Anyway, since using IDR 100.000 worth of voucher requires you to shop for AT LEAST IDR 100.000 (WTF, only IDR 1000 left zzz), i finally gave in and got myself the Cranberry Joy Lipbalm (i already fot the Ginger one and i am happy now that i have the complete Holiday 2012 limited edition lip balms :p), it was IDR 59.000 so we only paid IDR 58.000 for both items. This is not the last TBS haul you'll see though, they are still having the Buy 1 Get 1 promotions (using BCA credit card on Tuesdays) so i might pop into TBS from time to time (on Tuesdays i mean).

Those are the stuffs you see on the first picture, i still got two more stuffs to show you! Bags!

Square quilted dark brown bag, i forgot to take a clearer picture without the plastic LOL, sorry ah i will show you when i wear them in the future okay.

Second bag :

Square "Soldier" bag

The picture a bit blurry, i didn't realize, sorry! It's super cute lah in real life, i LURVVVEEE it! Rosemary told me there are other versions for this bag, a Prince version, Princess, and i dunno what else. Mine was the soldier version and i think it's the cutest!!! Closer look on the soldier :

Both bags i got from A (another one of my BFFs hehe)'s little sister's online shop, i shopped a lot from her, she sells the cutest bags with quite low price too! I cannot remember the prices (because mostly they are Pre-ordered and took more than a month to arrive, by the time they did i usually already completely forget their prices, the soldier bag was ready stock though), i think the brown quilted one was under IDR 150.000 and the soldier bag was under IDR 250.000.

That ended my haul post this time! Oh one more thing! I told ya already i signed up for two Beauty Boxes right, one of them's having an affiliate program, Beauty Treats. So if any of you are interested on subscribing, please please please use my referral, just click the link below!

Looxchallenge : Indonesia Banget (Very Indonesia)

batik

Hi guys!!!

How y'all doin? I'm currently really annoyed with hunny. I don't understand how guys cannot throw their dirty clothes in the laundry bin, instead they just throw wherever they like, including on top on MY clean towel, or on top of the sink shelve. Anywhere but the right place, like a feet away. Also they will leave the cupboard's door open after taking their clothes, but promptly tries to close the walk in closet whenever i am inside. FYI, i don't always turn on the air conditioner inside my walk in closet unless i plan to stay there for awhile (like when i'm putting on my make up or playing dress up, etc) so it's really HOT and suffocating if the door leading to the (fully air-conditioned) room's closed. Arghhhhh!!!! Why the eff are they so friggin annoying??? WHY???

Okay, feeling much better already after writing it down *easy* LOL. Anyhoo... You should notice lately i'm really lazy to join any outfit or make up challenge, just been feeling very tired and sleepy (yes, not 100% over the stupid flu yet, it takes up to three weeks for me to get over bad cases of flu zzzz) and whenever i went out i tend to throw whatever on *unlike usual, normally i'd carefully choose my outfit, top to bottom*. I'm also too lazy to play around with my makeup, just slap on the basic stuffs over and over again LOL. Seriously, flu makes me so lazy and unlively zzz.

But! Been feeling much better already so i decided to pay more attention to my outfits again, and decided to join Looxperiment's latest challenge (this time, unlike usual, they only have one theme that can be incorporated to any outfit, nail art or make up). The theme caught my attention immediately and i've been meaning to join it because of it. It's called : Indonesia Banget (or Very Indonesia). You know i'm a pretty patriotic person *national anthem blaring, posing patriotically* :p.

So, since it's Saturday night (weekend is when i'm more daring with my makeup and outfits), i decided to dress up to the theme, complete with the complimenting makeup. Yes, time for dramatic make up, after weeks of lazy nude colored make up haha.

For the outfit challenge, i immediately think of Batik because what's more Indonesia than batik when it comes to clothing, right? Yes yes, i know i'm not creative lah sorry LOL. I know it's not Friday (for non-Indonesian readers : Friday is the official Batik day in Indonesia, everybody's encouraged to wear Batik on Fridays. Even in banks, etc, you'll see the employees all wears batiks on Fridays), but hey, we should always be proud to wear our Batik anytime of the week, right?

Here's the look that i came up with for my Indonesia Banget look :

My Indonesia Banget Outfit

My Indonesia Banget make up

The color theme for the outfit and make up was also inspired by one of the picures Looxperiments posted for inspiration :

Beautiful blue and green colors are dominating the view in Bedugul Temple, Bali

I was highly inspired by all the beautiful blue and green (and in between) in the picture, and i was really happy when i remembered i had this beautiful blue batik patterned dress (FYI again, real hand painted batiks worth a fortune, i don't really own any real ones, just mass-produced batik patterned ones), it's not new for once, had this for years already.

Only worn it once before though, i do remember my mum complimenting it, telling me the dress was pretty *as i said before, my mum doesn't really approve most of my clothing choices, so any compliments i'd very unlikely going to forget haha. Even dresses she BOUGHT for me like this beautiful Valentino inspired one she didn't remember-or liked. I had to remind her that she bought it for me and she was like "I did?" and then went on criticizing the way i styled the dress. She said my blazer ruined the whole look, that's why she didn't even notice it was the dress she bought me. WTF*

It's a tube/halter dress (can be worn in both ways), of course i had to put on an inner lah haha.

As for the make up, it looks really subtle in the photos, it was really vivid and dramatic in real life lah! Not super crazy though, i think it was still very wearable lah *i did wore it to GM*. We (accidentally) had dinner with A and her hubby and they didn't say i looked crazy or whatever (but that could be down to the fact that i often look crazy??? I sure hope not!) so i guess it was OKAY lah???

Here's a little step by step tutorial, oh first lemme show you the eye shadow colors i used (all from the same Australis make up palette)

Only used the blue and greens, didn't use the purple :p

As usual, start from the base (light foundation+concealer+powder), followed by eye shadow primer. Next i used the lighter green eye shadow on my lid as a base.

Please excuse the little pimple next to my eyebrow, my period's just finished :p

Somehow the eyeshadow looked subtle in the pictures, it's really bright IRL

OH! Also please excuse my crazy eyebrows! LOL! I'm growing them because i'm tired of people telling me "thick eyebrows are in! Korean style, Korean style!" WTF, also because a friend (N) commented a few times when she saw me "What's wrong with your eyebrows?". My plucked eyebrows could look a bit sparse from the wrong angle, you see.

So i decided to let them grow and be naturally thick, don't worry i plan to go to a professional eyebrow-shaper later in Jakarta that once my sis-in-law and niece tried, they looked nice. In the mean time please bear with my uneven and holey brows *LOL*, i seriously have no idea on how to draw them. My eyebrows were always *ahem* nicely shaped, even if it was a little thin (plucked thin, not naturally thin), people sometimes mistaken them as being embroidered of drawn on *LOL*.

Anyway! Next, i used the darker (bright) green eyeshadow on the outer V, all the way in around the eye sockets, blend-blend-blend! Let the middle and above the eye socket alone so they'd create a subtle green-gradations. (I picked on too much eyeshadow so i had to tone them down with a very pale grey eye shadow later so i didn't look nuts!)

I didn't plan on doing a smokey-eye look but there were some fallen eye shadows under my eyes and they looked pretty nice (and too lazy if i had to clean them, i'd have to re-do my under eye concealer!) so i just add some more green under my eyes and viola, instant smokey eyes! LOL. Also applied the blue eyeshadow from the same palette in the middle of the lid, blending them until there were no harsh edges between the three colors. Also applied very pale grey eyeshadow (from the same palette as well but not pictured) on my brow bone and use the rest to blend all of the other colors and lighten them up a bit because it was really bright, like crazy bright!

Don't worry, i know it looked a bit like my Sloth look *LOL* (i really was tired though), it will look awake once you put on eyeliners and mascara :D.

Then of course, black liquid eyeliner on the lid!

Next is mascara (my mascara's running out... i just got one from my stash to bring to Europe, and i realized i was left with four more mascara on my stock, somehow i feel like i don't have enough stock. WTF. *slaps self* FOUR is more than enough #Pink!!!! Haih, i kinda regret not getting some while we were grocery shopping a few days ago, Maybelline's having a sale in Carrefour at the moment, info for my fellow Indonesian!)

Later i also lined my waterline with black pencil eyeliner as usual, halfway in. Lined the rest with a pearly lavender eyeliner, not forgetting the inner corner on my eyes. A little bit of bling there is always a perfect touch. Then i applied a reddish blush on lightly and put on my Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick in Cherry Ice (19). I've been using it non-stop for almost a month, not because i'm very in love or whatever but i tend to wear a new lip color a lot for sometime then chuck them and move on to another color *LOL*, this lipstick is also very subtle and easy to pair with any makeup style (although could look a bit pale on me if i wear very mininal make up), i also been meaning to take pictures for a review and kept forgetting to, and i kept on wearing it because i keep on wanting to take pictures! I know, WTF...

Final look :

So... That's my version of Indonesia Banget! Hope y'all like it :p!

I went shopping with L again yesterday, i finally got the scarf-will tell ya more about our shopping next time! And earlier tonight we (as in me and hunny) shopped some more for stuffs we need for the trip, it's getting closer and closer to the D Day! It's going to be my first long haul flight and i'm a bit panicked thinking of my make up cleanser and a bit of make up to bring to the cabin (coz we're going for the tour straight from the flight, i don't want to look too crazy since i'm 100% sure i'm gonna want to take LOADS of pictures!) plus my contact lens solutions! You know i'm blind as a bat without my contact lenses and am not comfortable going out with my glasses because they confuse me (totally disoriented whenever i go tried to go out with them). Haih.

I think i'm gonna write an entry to show your guys the makeups i'm bringing to Europe (because i love reading such entries on other blogs so i also want to do one lah hahahaha)! Mostly i purposefully bought (miniature size or non-liquid ones) for the trip hahaha so they'd make a future appearance on my haul post as well :p.

I'm gonna stop now (and go back obsessing over stuffs to bring to Europe, i'm sorry i already told you i'm very easily obsessed), hope you guys are having a rockin' weekend! Toodles!

#Undecided: 7 Random Facts about Me

Hello Loves!! #Undecided here *grin*

So I won't get into details as to why I have been (continuously) MIA, I believe #Pink has done a marvelous job stating that on her posts as of late LOL, but I just have to say this: boy, I miss writing! (Well not much, but I do miss it... *straight face*).

Okay, I lied. I DO want to tell you why I haven't been writing. It's simple really: I suck. Every single piece I drafted ended up in the trash (figuratively ya, who writes with pen and paper these days, right!). Every single time I read my draft, I hated myself *drama alert*. So, it's not that I haven't tried, you guys... *sigh* It's the many times I've tried and failed and tried some more and failed again and again and then I was like whatever lah!!! I quit!! I don't want to be a writer anymore!! I want to be a dog walker!! *cue dramatic background sound - throws hands in the air desperately, LOL*

#Pink (being the helpful friend that she is) kept on persuading me to write and seemed to think that it's me manifesting what my brain is thinking. I wish she's right. Therefore here I am, making my brain think that I'm fab, and trying to write a simple entry. Bear with me, okay?

So some times ago one of our readers nominated #Pink for The Versatile Blogger Award.

I cannot be more proud of her LOL. She so deserves to be nominated. Her entries are funny and awesome and informative. I am her (self-proclaimed) #1 reader!! And due to one of the rules to the award nomination, she is making me write my "7 Random Facts about Me" because (in her own words) "you're the author of this blog too, #Undecided!!". LOL.

Obviously I had nothing to do with this nomination, but if I should play by the rule and nominate another blogger I would so nominate #Pink (vain much, #Undecided, nominating your own blog?! LOL) and Arman (tag, Arman, you're it!!!) and Xia Xue (can we nominate non-Indonesian bloggers?!) because honestly I don't read blogs all that much (no time, really... I'd love to but I have no time *sob*), but since #Pink has done this part so let me just get on with my "7 Random Facts about Me", okay?

Gee #Undecided, for someone who claimed to be stuck in a rut, you've been yappin a lot now, haven't you?!

Yay me!!

"Does this mean that you'll write more, #Undecided?!" >> this is what #Pink must be thinking right now. LOL. We'll see, #Pink... We'll see...

But I digress. Let's go!

Fact #1: (as if I'm not saying this a lot as it is) I am a dog person. And lately I have been following some Animal Defender crews on Twitter (@ADefenders, @doniiblis, @InfoGukGuk, @NengInaaa) and I have to say that they inspire me to do more for dogs (not just mine - but dogs in general). I even told hubby if one day we have our own house, I want to open my own animal shelter. The amount of animal abuse is getting overwhelming. I want to do my share to help. But since I live in an apartment now, I try my best to do what I can: spreading the words (among friends) about the importance of dog walking and actually do weekly dog walk with them. You guys are welcomed to join - just send me an email and I'll give you the details.

my everything (yes, hubby included lah hahaha)

Jerome and Kalista

Fact #2: I LOVE GLEE!!! Yes, that TV show Glee. If you have been living in a hut somewhere remote, Glee is a TV show about how underdogs can do big things too. Inspirational. And lots of good music. I just LOVE it.

Fact #3: I suck at video games. Seriously. The only video game I can do is Tetris. And Hay Day. LOL.

my latest obsession

Fact #4: There were times when I would feel super lonely even though I was in the middle of friends and family. Yes, I was dramatic even when I was younger LOL. But that feeling is long gone now and I guess it's because I have hubby around now.

Fact #5: I have mixed feelings about babies and kids. Sometimes I love them. Sometimes I cannot stand them. LOL. This is why I have mixed feelings about being preggo and have a baby on my own. As for now, protected sex it is!

Fact #6: if #Pink is cray about her face and wardrobe, then I'm obsessive about my hair.

Fact #7: I have a soft spot for guys with crazy sense of humor and brain - hence my obsession towards Indra Herlambang LOL.

taken from his instagram: http://instagram.com/indraherlambang
go check it out - there are some awesome photos there!

So there you have it, everybody.

I hope you enjoy reading this one :)

Toodles,

Review : The Skin Food Pine Nut Cuticle Oil

comedy movie

Helloww everybody!!!

How's everybody doing? I just realized looking from my previous posts from previous months that i write less this month (compared to previous months), but i can assure you that i'm not getting bored or lazy to write on my blog already haha, i'm not the kind that get over something so fast. There are just so many stuffs happening this April, one problem after another that sometimes i don't have enough time to write (actually i have a lot of drafted posts, yes i hoard even blog entries, but i'm preparing those entries as fillers while i'm away on my trip :p) or i got sick for days, or like the case yesterday, i lost all will to do anything because i was stressed up. The fact that #Undecided still cannot get out of her writer's block doesn't help *sigh*.

Why i was so stressed up yesterday? Because we suspected that we lost our most important documents! That included my birth certificate, Baby Boy's birth certificate, and our marriage certificate! WTF! Hunny and i are some of the people with worst memories when it comes to storing things (i know, how ironic, i have a semi photographic memory but when it comes to such things, my memory's worse than a hamster's), actually it can be said for most of my family members lah.

So, since we do not have a safe deposit box in our room, we usually keep our documents in my mum's cupboard (it's specifically used to store such documents) and we were pretty sure we didn't move them to our own yet. Hunny's usually the ones handling such documents-while i'm more of the treasurer in our relationship-and he was sure it was still with my mum. Problem is... yes, my mum has the same HORRIBLE memory when it comes to this kind of stuffs! She was adamant that hunny took them away already. We ransacked our room and my parents', and found none, so we were very very stressed out and freaked out!!!

Thankfully hunny insisted us to check my mum's safe deposit box in the bank-just in case. My mum insisted that there's no way those documents could be there! I do have a vague memory of holding those documents not too long ago somehow, but of course i cannot be sure :(... And this morning we went to the bank, and sure enough... There they were!!! Safely tucked in the bottom of the safe deposit box (that can only be accessed by my mum and i LOL) *HUGE SIGH OF RELIEF*. OMG, you cannot imagine the huge burden that just been lifted off of our shoulders!!! Now you know why i didn't even think of writing yesterday zzz.

Anyway, now you also know, how horrible we are. Even super important documents like birth certificates can be misplaced or forgotten by us *sigh*... Now that brings me to my lost ring again WTF zzzz....

Oh yeah, this is a review post, sorry hahaha. You must already be used to me rambling on and on before starting on the actual review, right? Okay okay, i'm gonna review The Skin Food Pine Cuticle Oil.

Writing this makes me realize that i do use quite a lot of The Skin Food products yah??? I've been reviewing some by now! if i didn't write these reviews i wouldn't even realize it, i'd still be thinking that The Skin Shop is one of the Korean brands that i do not use much (because their packaging's not so cute) LOL. This item is also the first cuticle/nail care product i've ever purchased consciously *LOL*. I do tend to ignore my cuticles and hair (and a lot of other things haha, i'm way too focused on my clothing and face to be honest LOLOL). Bought this from Inten's Corner (from this haul) because my cousin's employee at Me-Nail commented on my dry cuticles/nails.

Packaging wise, i think it looks quite nice. Comes in a frosted glass bottle that was shaped like a regular nail polish. The lid and brush also looked like a regular nail polish. It was sealed by a little think sticker with TSF's logo (the little cupid/angel) but i forgot to that a picture of the sticker.

Now, i always think that my nails are super strong (they are! They can be a weapon, i'm super serious) and therefore doesn't need any more care. But nowadays since i'm paying more attention to my cuticles and nails (while caring for them), i do realize that my cuticles and skin under my nails are super dry and flaky! The worst part was always the beds under my nails, whenever my nails got too long (every two weeks) i'd cut them real short and discovered the scary, flaky skin underneath.

OMG so scary

Those dry skin were super duper triple itchy, i'd be pulling and scratching them like crazy, making them looked worse. I wonder how come i never felt any itchiness while the nail was still long and the flaky parts still concealed? So weird!

The oil (do i need to explain the consistency? It's oil lah hahaha so the consistency is... oily! Quite light and not too thick) smells really good, i was scared it would smell bad since i hate pine smells (so sharp and choking!!!) so i was pleasantly surprised when i realize that this oil smells so good. Not too nutty too, but then again i don't actually know how a pine nut smells like haha. I suck at describing smells so... it kinda reminds me of dermatological clinic's creams and masks in the bottle, lighter and nicer on the nails. In short, i find it nice smelling and doesn't bother my nose when i had them on, i actually kinda enjoyed the smell.

It's very easy to apply too, just like painting your nails but instead you paints the cuticles and skin around and under your nails. Just make a "square" outside your nails.

I didn't know how long i should leave the oil on, so i googled and one of the reviewers (it was a review for cuticle oils in general not specifically for this variant) said i should put it on for an hour. I also asked Rosemary because she's really into nails and nail arts so i thought she should know. She was like "Leave it for as long as you feel necessary lah, no need to time them!". When i told her about the one hour recommendation she thought that's too crazy long! I understand what she means, it'd be so boring to not be able to use your fingers properly for an hour right!!!

But i usually have a lot of time (or i make that time) whenever i'm about to cut and care for my nails (the dreaded chore), so i usually leave this for as long as i could, one hour almost every time. I just amuse myself with TV or YourTube or read blogs to pass the time. And for me this cuticle oil really works! Like, instantly!

This is how my cuticles/skin looked right after i wash my hand after leaving the oil on for about an hour.

Much better and healthier, don't you think?? Go see the before picture again! Sorry i am so helpless in photoshop etc i do not know how to put the pictures side by side so you can see the comparison easily zzzz. I know there are bit of dry skin still, but this is after ONE application leh! I'm sure it'd be super soft and not dry if i put this on more regularly! Problem is... Yeah, you should see it already, i'm too lazy lah, so much hassle haha. So yeah, i'm most probably only gonna put this on twice a month LOL. My skin instantly felt soft and nourished and they no longer itches! Yay!!!

It was really cheap as well, got it from Inten's Corner for IDR 25.000 (around USD 2.50) only! But it was on sale though, i do not know the real price, shouldn't be too expensive too. Very recommended lah! And yeah i'd repurchase it (if it's not discontinued) but there's so much oil in the bottle and i'm too lazy to use it more often so i wouldn't need to repurchase for a very long time lah haha.

Oh, we went on our usual movie date yesterday and watched Identity Thief.

I saw the rating and they were pretty bad (the rating), me myself enjoyed the movie very much. Yes, it's not super great or whatever, but i do find it to be funny and ended in a touching, sweet way. I always liked Jason Bateman (although he always seemed like he's playing the same character over and over again) and i love Melissa McCarthy, i think she's super hilarious! It's a little bit slapstick in parts (Melissa McCarthy, not Jason Bateman) but it's not as bad as, let say, Adam Sandler's movies. LOL.

It's about Sandy Patterson (a guy, yes with a girl's name, although he kept on insisting that it's a unisex name), whose identity was stolen by this crazy woman, who maxed out his credit card for crazy and stupid things (super unimportant ones like buying the whole bar a drink, shopping like crazy for fugly things, etc), and then he went to Florida to literally bring the perp to justice because he was about to lose his job (that's in finance, and his boss was about to fire him fro having such a bad credit history and having criminal charges against him-all the case of the stolen identity) and he couldn't afford to with his growing family (wife and two daughters, a third baby on the way) and the police couldn't really help him much.

So the movie was about him trying to get the crazy woman back to Colorado with all craziness happenings along the way. I read a review saying all the funny things were in the trailer, i beg to differ though. I do find this movie to be quite funny from start to finish, maybe not always LOL funny but enough to keep me entertained and didn't get bored halfway through.

I guess it's not a super great movie or whatever, but if you're bored and want to watch something to amuse you, this movie could be a choice. Jason Bateman and Melissa McCarthy does seem to have a pretty good chemistry and worked well together.

Oh, one more thing before i stop all my ramblings, we finally made the final payment for the Europe trip, it'd finally really be happening next week *muffled scream!!!*. Asked the tour and travel and they said the visa's also looking very good, hope there won't be any sudden problem or whatever! Fingers crossed tightly! I really cannot waiiiitttt!!!

Shopping with L (+OOTD, and Movie Review : Cloud Atlas)

fantasy movie

Hey guyss...

How's everybody doing? And how was your Monday (no no, not another brain fart, i'm asking if yesterday was good to you, i know it's a Tuesday already hahaha)? The reason i asked is... because i had a great Monday! I went shopping the whole day with my cousin L and then continued with a movie date with hunny! Hahaha... i imagine it's not the typical Monday for everybody, but that's how my Monday went i loved it *Huge grin*.

Went to TP with L in the afternoon, original plan : L was going to look for a light coat and i was going to look for warm scarves (yes lah, for our Europe trip, sorry if i talk about it too much, you'd just have to endure it because it's happening in less than 2 weeks so the intensity of me talking about it is only going to increase lah hahaha!), which none of us stuck to LOL. We ended up with quite lots of other stuffs instead haish.

My OOTD :D

I know i looked pale, this was taken after 11 hours outside hahahaha, this was at 11 PM when we just got home. I didn't have time to take pictures before we went because i was barely dressed when L ping ping ping-ed my BBM demanding me to go down coz she's outside already hahaha.

But i looked pale anyway the whole day yesterday FML. L was being punctual for a change and i totally didn't see that coming. She told me she was on the way to pick me up already when i was just finishing drying my hair. So i had 10 minutes or something to slap on BB cream+powder+mascara+blush on. And i also forgot to bring a brighter lippie to make me less pale so i ended up with my Revlon nude pink lippie. Zzzz.

No pictures of my bag because i was too (LAZY) sick to change into other bags lately, still using my mum's recent hand-me-down Fion bag :p.

Went to Matahari Department Store first to stalk some make up brands (for my job :p), then i remember i wanted to get a solid perfume for my trip (because! I cannot be without my fragrances! And we're gonna be flying on-off without any chance of showering (first we're going to Singapore in the afternoon, then wait for a few hours for our flight to Europe, i forgot to which city first haha, we'll land the next day and start the tour straightaway, so it's going to be almost two days without showering!!!) and with limited access (or just inconvenient lah) to our suitcases, so i'm panicking over stuffs to bring to the cabin lah), and we saw new Tony Moly stand there! I originally already planned to get the Tony Moly solid perfume at their stand in GC, but it's already there so i hunted for it lah!

Now, i forgot that when you're fragrance hunting.. L's the worst partner you could have! LOL! She is not into fragrances much i think, and she seems to not be able to tolerate most girly, floral and fruity perfumes much (it got worse during her pregnancies, but in general she's not into girly smells i think). I sniffed all of the solid perfume variants and i was attracted to the green one (Pompom Green Tea) and the pink one (Dodo Rose)'s smell, but as you know, i'm still down with flu and my nose's not really working well, so i tried getting L to help me.

Big mistake. LOLOL. She claimed the green tea one to smell like a wet tissue and only wrinkled her nose in distaste smelling the super light rose one LOLOL. OMG FML. I ended up getting the Rose one because it's super light, the green tea one (i don't normally like green tea-smelling stuffs, but this one's very nice) is a bit strong, i'm afraid if i might find it too overpowering once i'm all healthy and my sensitive nose's working again!

I don't normally purchase Korean-brand cosmetics on their counters because their pricing's outrageous, but in my experience it's okay to get their fragrances. Their price's actually the same (and in Etude House's case, cheaper!) than on online shops, plus no need to pay for shipping (so even if it's slightly more expensive when you count the shipping fee the difference would be minimal). I would never in a million years purchase their BB creams (Etude House's BB cream on the counter's 2-3x the price of online shops WTF) in local counters though.

Oh, when i told L i was looking for a solid perfume she was like, oh L'Occitance got some! Haish, you can tell how different our tastes are, right? I'm a Korean-cosmetic (or Asian to be exact) lover, she prefers Western brands, i'm crazy about cute packaging she's into more luxurious brands. I told her i'm only buying it for the flights, i'm not gonna spend a fortune on a solid perfume that i most probably not going to use much afterward anyway. I paid IDR 139.000 for the super cute solid perfume, show you in the future lah okay :p!

L was looking for mascara, and of course i suggested Maybelline, but she seemed reluctant so i told her to try Max Factor since i heard their mascara's pretty good to. But after she chose what she wanted to BA told us they ran out of the black one, FHL. In the end L bought my HG mascara, Maybelline's Volum' Express Turbo Boost Mascara after i told her it's dirt cheap, only IDR 65.000 hahahaha. I wonder why she was surprised, did she think it was super expensive when i first suggested it? Guess this girl never bought Maybelline products, eh?

Like usual, Matahari's having their regular promotion, we each got an IDR 25.000 worth of voucher to spend on selected items (with signs on them) for minimum purchase of IDR 100.000. Being a big kiasu that we are, we hurriedly looked for stuffs with signs on them haha. L said she wanted to get a legging (again for the Europe trip), but again, we lost focus. She ended up with two printed loose tees and i with a tribal blazer LOLOL. At least i'm gonna be wearing my blazer to Europe so i'm still not too badly of-course, right?

When we paid for our clothes the cashier gave us another IDR 25.000 vouchers! WTF! They said no matter how much you spent that voucher would always come out FOL LOLOLOL, L was like "WTF? It's a devil's circle then!!!" Hahahaha. On second thought, i regret not getting another blazer with the voucher zzzz. It can be used until tomorrow though, so we'll see what i'll do haha.

We went round and entered countless shops but we didn't find the stuffs we were looking for and L was whining because she was hungry so we stopped by for a light lunch in our fave date place, The Coffee Bean! Hihihi... It was definitely gossip time as well :p, so nice to catch up!

L told me when her friend found out she was going out with me at TP the friend (that i also knew, met her at L's birthday last December) was so jealous because she never has any time to go out anymore, she had to take care of her little son and had no time for anything else, in the end she asked L to help her buy some stuffs. What shocked me was.. she asked for FOUR lipstick.

Four lipstick is not much to buy in one go, if it's all different shades. But she asked for one Anna Sui lipstick and three NYX lipstick that's exactly the same color! Why would you need three of the exact same lipstick for??? L said to stock up lor, for me it's still a huge WTF lah hahaha. What does she do, eats'em??? And she said she never had time to go out, so when is she gonna use up (because she bounds to use them up right? If she asked for three to stock up???) if she never goes out? L said again, maybe to the kitchen? To cook? LOLOLOL.

It didn't stop there, she also sent a picture of a dress, asking L to help her buy it as well. I'm so confused! She even managed to snap the picture (from the store) and knew which size too get, why didn't she buy it when she took that picture? L told me she's a fussy shopper, she'd check the seam of the dress for half an hours. But but but!!! She asked other people to buy for her, other people (like L!) wouldn't even check it for her!!! Isn't it worse??? LOLOLOL...

I'm not saying all of those to be malicious lah okay, i'm just genuinely perplexed, that's all. For Mar (i called her M in the other post but i need to change it coz my close friend's called M, you'd be confused if i don't change it haha) if you ever gotten to read this, sorry!!! You're just too hilarious i had to share with my readers hehe!

Went to Zara, found their sale section and saw a stunning cobalt blue mini dress (it's bodycon with ruffles on the hips) going for IDR 199.900!!! (Original price IDR 549.000 or something) and it was on a perfect size too, M! I tried it on and it almost fits perfectly, if i have a bigger boobs *FML*, should probably go down a size but there's only 2 pieces left (both sized M) so i bought it anyway, will put on a huge stick on sillicon bra! It's very pretty on! Will also show you in the future okay haha.

Last stop before i had to rush off (because hunny's already picking me up) was Daiso. I was looking for some cute cosmetic pouches to place little stuffs inside for a friend's birthday present. (the little pouch looked pretty good, if i may say so myself. I think i can make a pretty beauty box, i should start my own beauty box company hahahahaha). Somehow L ended up buying twice as much nonsense as i did there LOLOL.

Wah, only #Pink can drag a simple shopping day into a long blog entry eh? Hahaha.. Had so much fun and got some real nice stuffs, really satisfied lah!

Went to CW with hubby straightaway and bought the movie ticket, then since there's still half an hour left before the movie started we rushed to do some grocery shopping for our hotel, we didn't expect the person in front of us (actually his friends, not him) to keep on adding more stuffs so it took way longer than we should queuing up WTF. Barely made it into the cinema before the movie started! I HATE to be late for movies! So even though i was out of breath and sweating like crazy, at least we weren't late!

We watched Cloud Atlas.

It was AWESOMEEEEE!!!I googled and just found out that it's a 2012 movie, dunno why it took them so long to start showing it zzz. I LOVE it! Have you guys watched this? If you haven't and you're a fantasy/sci-fi lover, you need to watch this!

I found it a bit confusing at first because there were so many characters (with the same people playing them) from different eras, from 1800s, 1970s, 2140s, even post-apocalyptic era! The movie jumps back and forth and straight to the heart of each stories at first so confusion is expected. Don't worry if you got confused to at first, the awesome journey just started! The stories would soon start to unfold and you'll get the hook of it fast enough.

Each stars played different characters (i think i saw Tom Hanks the most! LOL), even with different races. I believe they were experiencing rebirths, and somehow all of the stories interconnected in the end, to a wonderful and magical story that is Cloud Atlas.

You'll find lawyer from 1849 on an ocean voyage with intrigues and conflicts, a gay composer in the years before being gays are acceptable, political thriller in 1970s, futuristic Seoul with fantastical clones working as mundane workers and being treated like machines, to the world post-apocalypse that i confused with a pre-historic time at first LOLOL. Each stories engaging and powerful on its own, epic as one movie.

There were famous names in this movie, Tom Hanks like i mentioned earlier, Halle Berry, Hugh Grant, the guy i just remembered as the Elf in LOTR (Huge Weaving), to the famous China actress (Xun Zhou) and a Korean actress (Doona Bae? This is the first time i heard of her, then again i do not know much Korean actress other than Song Hye Kyo LOL), but the most important for me (that i didn't even knew was in this movie at first) was the ultimate eye candy, Jim Sturgess.

Jim Sturgess

Now, i LOVED Jim Sturgess ever since i first saw him in One Day. He's super cute and endearing (one of not so many guys that #Undecided and i both fancied LOL), he's super good looking but somehow not very photogenic i guess. I kept on looking for a good picture of him and cannot find one that reflects how good looking he is (in movies), in real life Jim Sturgess loves crazy hair and facial hairs *sigh*. I found a decent photo of him taken from One Day so you (if any of you happen not to know him yet) can see a glimpse of how good looking he can be if he shaves and comb his hair *LOL*.

Awwwww, those eyes... So beautiful! That's one of his best feature, that's why i was a bit disturbed seeing him in one of his many (seven!) roles in this movie as a Korean guy, the make up was pretty scary to make his eyes looked half the size of their real size.

LOL

If there is one thing i'd complain about this movie, that would be the make up. I dunno, the way the make the actors look of a different race was creepy. And Halle Berry looked horrible when they made her looked old for one of her characters!

In the end, i love this movie a LOT (and not just because Jim Sturgess' in it, i promise), it's one of the most epic one i've watched for quite a bit now :D. If you haven't seen this, i recommend you to do so (but not in you don't like fantasy/sci-fi movies).

Oh, i also wanted to show you my OOTD from last Saturday (when #Undecided and i went birthday pressie shopping while wheezing and complaining the whole way LOL)

Floral Mini Dress : Bugis Junction (Singapore), Woolen Crop Vest : Yellowline (MKG, Jakarta), Black Mini Skirt : Magnolia, Grey Inner : random shop (Singapore)

Yeah, that's the closest thing to a winterish/autumnish fashion we in tropical countries can pull off, a woolen crop vest hahaha, anything else we'd get a heat stroke and faint i think hahahaha. The floral dress is super sweet but as usual, too short, so i had to layer it with a black mini skirt underneath *sigh*.

Okay, that's is for today, folks! Toodles!
