Event Report : Beauty Class with Lakme and Indonesian Female Bloggers

It's been a while that i shared about beauty classes, and today i want to tell you a fun one with Lakme Makeup and Indonesian Female Bloggers!

Showing off my brand new cushion from Lakme, which is one of their newer products that receives quite a lot of hype because of its high quality

The event was held on a sunny Sunday afternoon at Noach Cafe and Bistro. Once i stepped foot into the VIP room i was distracted by Lancome products nicely displayed for your drooling purposes *LOL*.

One of the products that caught my eyes is definitely that colorful eyeshadow palette

Btw this even is also to mark the launch of their new lippies!

I've personally heard about Lakme since before they even entered Indonesia and i've always wanted to try their products, i also attended their event once a while ago but it was a brief makeup demo so i didn't get to try out too many of them (only a liquid lipstick) so i am pretty excited to join this beauty class and really dig in to their products.

First thing first, almost bare face selfie :DD. I decided to arrive with some base makeup on and eyebrow (pretty badly) drawn, LOL at my pillow face

The event was attended by 20 bloggers who are members of IFB ofc. Another reason to be excited is because this actually IFB's first event in Surabaya!

Yes, it was pretty cramped *LOL*, no matter it brought us closer together!

The event is special because it was also attended by IFB's founder, alll the way from Jakarta :

Ms. Yonna Kairupan who is a senior blogger, vlogger, mom of 4 and professional special effect MUA! She specializes in SFX makeups and worked in quite a lot of super famous Indonesian horror movies (ofc she does regular makeup too, but the fact that she is an expert in SFX is super special for me who can do zero SFX whatever makeup haha). You know i am a die hard horror movie fan and i watched a lot of the horror movies that Ms. Yonna worked on ^^

First surprise of the day is before we even started the beauty class, we were welcomed to go and choose our shade of Lakme Primer Matte Cushion Foundation! This is always very appreciated because sometimes brands don't care and just shove whatever shade (they have too many stocks on :p) into our goodie bags even if it's 10 shades too dark/light and there is just no way we could get any use out of it so when a brand actually cares and allow us to shade match... I feel touched!

Nessya and Angel were busy swatching and finding their shade. Angel and i ended up sharing a shade : 01 Nude Fair coz we're both pale as ghosts *LOL*

And then the beauty class started, it was conducted by Ms. Palupi (also from Lakme) who is super kind and friendly, nobody felt intimidated whether we're beginners (because the bloggers that attended were a mix of beauty and lifestyle blogger so not everybody in the room was super familiar with makeup. Sometimes i need to be reminded that not everybody's super addicted to makeup like me :))) or more advanced in our makeup skill, we all learned something out of the beauty class for sure!

As the beauty class was more of an everyday type of makeup that is pretty simple but still very pretty, i could focus on touching, playing and trying out Lakme products while still following the steps at the same time. By the end of the class i found out that i liked a LOT of Lakme products, more than i initially thought i would >.<. Oh no, plenty goes in the wishlist now!

As the beauty class was very casual and intimate, Ms. Palupi even took the time to help out attendees that needed help with their makeup as well as dishing out endless tips and tricks throughout the class

Although i already did my base, i did try out pretty much all of the available products - on my hands if not on the face, like the primer that is definitely blurring and something you need for special occasion for that pore-less effect! I didn't take many pics of the products (coz i was busier swatching and applying!) but i remember one of the products that exceeded my expectation is their liquid eyeliner, super pigmented and easy to use!

And this one, which is their collaboration with Eyebrow Artists, Anggir Rassly who does Indonesian celebrities (like KD!) eyebrows and has a booking list as long as your arms and legs (maybe more)!

I also enjoyed the eyeshadow that we tried that day (it's a little bit soft and crumbly, but very shimmery, pretty and easy to use. Something that would be easy for beginners to use but also very wearable for beauty junkies who are into shimmers, especially if you like K-Beauty makeup like me! ) as well as the blush on (very pigmented! A little definitely goes a long way), highlighter, contour and ofc : lippies! And overall i definitely had loads of fun ^^!

We also shared pizza and laughter after the class ended.

And ice cream! I am not usually an ice cream person, but it was another exceptionally HOT day in Surabaya so i devour my ice cream with gusto!

If i can give a little constructive criticism for the class, it would only be the venue *LOL*. I mean, i don't mind most of it and Noach is a very nice place, but the VIP room is a little bit too dark for a beauty class, i could hardly see what i was applying :(.

Thankfully i think i look... Alright hahaha

Here's one under better lighting (a.k.a the front area of Noach hahaha). Oh yeah, i changed my top because i went out straight after and it was just too hot for a chiffon shirt. I only wore it because of #dresscode, ofc
