Review : Lacoco Watermelon Glow Mask and Cos-Vie Woman Hygiene Treatment Essence

I'm sure y'all are Instagram addict like me, and as both Instagram and beauty addict i can't help but always notice when there are new, hip and happening products that are raved by my fellow beauty influencers and one of those products that had piqued my interest in the past few months are products from Lacoco - so i am super stoked when Clozette Indonesia sent me these two beauties to try and review :

Lacoco Watermelon Glow Mask and Cos-Vie Hygiene Treatment Essence

Now let's talk about the brand first. Lacoco is a local Indonesian beauty brand that was established in 2017 (so quite young but already made quite an impact in the Indonesian beauty industry, impressive!) and they provide various kinds of beauty products that are formulated from nature's best ingredients. Lacoco is derived from the word coconut that has the philosophy "a tree for all kinds of benefits". From Lacoco's Website, i learnt that they currently have eight products in their range but they are looking forward to expand and develop more products in the future (and you bet i am excited about it!).

I recieved two out of the eight and we're gonna talk about my experience with them (i have tried both of the products for 4 weeks!) one by one.

First up is Lacoco Watermelon Glow Mask :

I honestly just realized that they are under the same company as Avoskin, which i already know has a very high quality - no wonder Lacoco products are also da bomb!

Lacoco Watermelon Glow Mask comes in a pretty but simple pink tube with twist off top, one of the other things other than the products' awesome quality (obviously) about Lacoco that i really dig is their luxe product design and high quality packaging. Everything feels luxurious and expensive (although price wise they are actually still pretty affordable)

Their main active ingredients are Watermelon (which has natural GSH, the most commonly used systemic skin brightening agent), Seaweed (that has an anti-bacterial effect, highly effective for acne treatments) and Banana (antioxidant) which work together to not only moisturize but also functions to slow down skin aging process

Lacoco Watermelon Glow Mask is a sleeping mask, meaning it is meant to use at night before you go to sleep and doesn't require rinsing (of course you have to wash your face in the morning!)

Lacoco Watermelon Glow Mask has a thick gel consistency, it feels very light and can gets absorbed into your skin in no time. It has a very sweet but calming scent which i quite like

It is light and transparent so after your spread it into your skin you can't even see it!

And here is how the product visibly improves my skin condition after 4 weeks :

Before - lots of redness and fresh hormonal acne scars, my skin also looks quite tires and dull

After (please excuse the different tone, i use the same lighting and camera i don't know why it turned out kinda different, i use no filter and no edit whatsoever) 4 weeks of using Lacoco Watermelon Glow Mask. My skin is visibly plumper, the pores cleaner, acne scars (except the new one on my chin >.< i've been travelling and this is considered a very good skin condition after travelling okay! It's much cleaner than usual) faded and i have a natural, healthy glow to my skin

Yes, i definitely feel the difference it made! Honestly when i first used it, i was quite worried because it's so much lighter than my normal sleeping mask, i was afraid it wouldn't hydrate my skin enough - but i needn't worry because although it is super light and leave no grease or sticky feeling whatsoever behind, it does deeply moisturize my skin and i always wake up with fresh, smooth skin in the morning. The light consistency also meaning that my oily and sensitive skin can actually take using it every single night without breaking out (my other sleeping mask would break me out if i use it continuously without break as it's a tad too rich for my skin for everyday use).

As usual, i also use this product consistently with my hunny (the only products that i don't share with him is feminine hygiene products for obvious reasons hahaha!) and it is also working wonderfully on his dry, dehydrated skin!

Oh yeah, the instructions say that you should use this mask after your entire skincare routine, i am not sure if this means that you should use it after your regular moisturizer (because some sleeping mask are meant to use as a seal for your skincare routine) or use it on its own as both your nightly moisturizer and sleeping mask - as i have oily skin that cannot take products that are too rich, i know that using it on top of my usual moisturizer would be too much for my skin so i opt to use it on its own and it's more than adequate to moisturize my skin so i don't see the need to adjust anyway - but if you have drier skin than mine then i would probably suggest you try it on top of your regular moisturizer and see how it works. All skin is different so i cannot be sure of how your skin would react or how to best use this product on different skin types, so you do need to give it a try and experiement with it yourself ^^.

My skin loves it so obviously i am going to continue using it and i wouldn't hesitate to recommend this product to all of you who are in the market for light, fresh but potent sleeping mask ^^!

Moving on to the next product, this time it's catered exclusively towards ladies :

Cos-Vie Woman Hygiene Treatment Essence - 50ml, IDR 275,000

Yes, it's called Cos-Vie but it's actually from the same brand, so maybe it's the line that's called Cos-Vie..
Comes in a similar cardboard box as the Watermelon Glow Mask but instead of pink, the color combination's black and gold

The main ingredient of Cos-Vie Woman Hygiene Treatment essence is lactic acid (functions to take care of feminine area's pH balance which is very important to help encourage lactobacillus - the good bacteria's growth, lactobaccilus is vital to kill and prevent bad bacteria's growth) and manjakani (helps tighten feminine area's wall's muscles). It also contains babassu oil (antifungal), aloe vera (calms skin, stimulate collagen production, tighten feminine area's skin and also contains active ingredients as antibacterial, anti microbial and antifungal) and sakura (brighten feminine area's skin)

Cos-Vie Woman Hygiene Treatment is encased in a cylindrical golden bottle with pump mechanism, again i love how elegant and luxe it looks!

The texture is very watery and runny with very fresh, pleasant scent

I have never used any extra product to care for my feminine area before other than feminine wipes and or feminine washes. I admit it felt a little strange at first to apply a product in that area >.<, but as Cos-Vie Woman Hygiene Treatment is very refreshing and it gets absorbed super fast without leaving any weird feeling behind, i quickly get used to it.

Now, feminine area are usually quite neglected - but even though it is mostly hidden, the hydration level and overall condition around our feminine area are very important and should be better taken care of. Poor treatment would cause our femine area to be bacteria ridden and that would result in it being prone to diseases, bacterias or discomfort. Not taking care of our femine area's hygiene is one of the triggering factor of HPV, which is a virus that can cause cervical cancer.

I personally did deal with a few issues with my feminine area, as someone who inheritedly has smaller bladder than normal people (this is not actually an actual diagnosis *LOL*, but my mum and i do go to the bathroom far more often than others and we are not good at holding it in) i go to the bathroom a LOT. Like, a lot a lot a LOT. This leads to my feminine area being a little damp (although i always dry it ofc) and more prone to fungal (so i do itch down there from time to time) or unpleasant odor. On certain days, even when i already use my usual feminine wash, i would still be able to detect faint odor from my feminine area - which is not ideal ofc,

Ever since i used Cos-Vie Woman Hygiene Treatment daily (i actually only use it once a day), i notice my problem are subsiding visibly. I no longer pick up unpleasant odor from myself and i also don't suffer from itchiness anymore. I honestly, truly didn't expect that this essence would actually make a difference and i am surprised that it actually does, pretty drastically at that! Personally i don't have any darkening and or dry skin problem in that area so i can't really comment on how they perform in those aspects, but the product sure impresses me!

So if you don't find your regular feminine wash is sufficient anymore (or you just want to take better care of you feminine area in general - which we all should), i would highly recommend you to give this product a try. Very recommended for all female beings haha.

Overall i definitely had a very positive experience with Lacoco products, both of the products that i got were great, worked really well on me and i have nothing but love for them so naturally i definitely would love to try out their other products in the future!
