Pink and Undecided

Another Sasa.com Haul! Masks Galore :D

Hi guys...

How's your Sunday? Are you staying in just like me? Yeah, i'm still recuperating from the stupid flu, but guess what... i had another bout of insomnia last night FML. In fact, that happens a lot whenever i'm slightly better after a bad case of flu. My theory's because i've rested so much for days on end, when i'm starting to feel better my body thinks it doesn't need any more rest, its got too much already! LOL! Not only i couldn't sleep until 4 AM or something, i also jerked awake at 7 or something O.O... such a waste of a lazy Sunday zzz.

Okay lah, let's close this week (next week be healthy already okay #Pink, i'm so bored of staying at home sleeping already zzzz) with my weekly haul post :D! Yes, the Sasa.com craziness still going strong, but don't worry, this purchase was made on February! I promise i did much better lately, mainly because there are no interesting things to buy lah hahaha.

In case you're wondering, it's my Sasa.com's 5th haul hihihi. Quick glimpse of what i got this time first!

Hohohohoo lots of pretty colors *googly eyed* :p. Let's check out the packaging they came from, as usual they were safely packed and bubble-wrapped by Sasa.com people :

Like you see in the photo (and also from the entry's title lah, d'oh #Pink-sorry ah my brain's still a bit slow, probably gonna take some days to wear off all the medications hahaha), i went a little crazy about sheet masks this time qiqiqiqi, but totally justified lah because i really dilligently apply sheet masks every week on my face! These all will be gone within a few months lah :p. I chose the masks mostly by looking at the packaging lah FML, others i picked because they were dirt cheap hahahaha.

Dermal : 2 Fresh Aloe Essence Masks, 1 Apricot Collagen Essence Mask, 2 Coenzyme Q10 Essence Masks

Those Dermal masks were the ones i picked based on their price la haha (of course, the packaging so unappealing LOL), they were USD 0.90 each (no shipping, i make sure i shop here only when they are having a free shipping promo for minimum purchase of USD 22 or USD 29). Picked aloes ones because aloes are good for your skin, right? Apricot one because its got collagen (i'm an old bird, i need extra collagen!!!) and the Coenzyme ones... i dunno why i picked that one, i don't even know what coenzyme was (will google them later), honestly i just pick at random lah, i get each of the available ones LOL.

Sexy Look Duo Lifting Effect (Yogurt Extract)

Wah, i just realize that the mask's brand is Sexy Look! LOLOL, what kind of a brand was that! I naturally was attracted to the pale baby pink packaging lah, so cute i was blinded instantly. Only now i realize that it's actually the kind of sheet masks i've been wanting to try lately, the ones with extra hook for your ears? They are supposedly going to give your more of a lifting effect (again, must stress that i'm OLD. I need all the lifting they can give me!), plus it's got Yogurt extract (one of my favorite ingredients, both for consuming and applying LOL). For USD 1.20 it's a perfect sheet mask for me! (saying this before trying, sorry lah hahaha)

Sexy Look Beauty Queen Moisturizing Mask

Wah, another Sexy Look mask haha. Also attracted to the baby blue with white dotty packaging lah hahaha. Beauty Queen Moisturizing Mask? What's that supposed to mean? You'd look like a Beauty Queen after putting this on? I don't want!!! *Shriek in horror* LOLOL, sorry lah, i just don't like pageant thingys and don't necessarily find any of the contestants pretty *LOL*, they all kinda look the same to me haha. Anyway, moisturizing is always good, it's also USD 1.20.

Providence Beauty Cherry Brightening Sparkly Mask

Now this one i cannot remember why i was attracted to, the packaging's pink so maybe that's why (and the crown logo..), but reading its name maybe it's "Cherry" and it's "sparkly", you know sometimes my brains only picked up the words i like LOLOL. I dunno what sparkly mask means??? I hope it's not drenched in a glittery liquid (i do fancy Edward Cullen but i don't intend to look like him) or something LOLOL. I think not lah, i'll let you know once i've used it. It's only USD 1.

My Beauty Diary : Chocolate Truffle Sheet Mask

Okay this one's from a very famous sheet mask brand lah, MBS (read my review on their masks here), so i was most probaly attracted to the brand and the chocolate truffle. Can't resist anything that promises yummy smells! It's USD 1.50, making it slightly more expensive than the other brands. We'll see if it really is superior compared to the others.

BeautyMate Baby Skin Ultra Moisture Barrier Mask

This one with one glance you should know i got because of the packaging lah! SO CUTEEEE!!! My favorite one in the bunch (yes, i'm a 5 year old little girl at heart, i yearn for my dollies), i saw the picture and i automatically clicked the add to cart button. Now reading the name it's a good thing i do so, Baby Skin leh, who doesn't want baby skin, right? Hehehe. It's USD 1.30.

Okay!!! I'm finally done with the masks! Moving on to decorative stuffs :D

Kose Cosmagic Sweet Deco Cheek

It's a blush on! So CUTEEE, right?? The pink fluffy thingy on the right is a tiny puff! Dunno if it's gonna be effective to put on the actual blush on, but i don't even care, so CUTEEEEEE *wailing like a banshee*. Sorry sorry, i cannot stand too much cuteness, i tend to experience temporary insanities when they are around. It was on a sale (although only reduced by USD 3 or something, but still better than nothing right LOLOL), i kept on trying not to buy but in the end the inner crazies won *as usual*, i got this for USD 13.40.

Mai Doll Eyeliner Pen Set

I just love the brand's name. Mai Doll... So cute and girly. I bought their BB cream set before (read that haul here -i've swatched the BB cream on my hand and i love it! Will be bringing it on my trip, will review it then), wonder why all of their stuffs come in pairs? Not that i'm complaining! I love that fact! LOL. Anyway, bought this because my Dior eyeliner (which i don't love at all, i wrote a review on it already, will be posting it sometime soon) is running out and i only got one spare (must...have...spares...) so this is my spare! Plus it's got brown ones, always wanted to try brown liquid eyeliner for Ulzzang-inspired look haha. It was on sale too, only USD 5.90! For two!!!

Last item... not so interesting lah haha..

Neogence Deep Cleansing Make Up Removing Liquid

It's tiny, only 30ml, perfect for travelling (not that i paid attention to the size when i bought it, i saw it was USD 2.60 and i just clicked it. Horrible horrible habit *slap self*) and i always love to read "Deep Cleansing" on a make up remover, immediately make me feel my pore's cleaner already HAHAHAHA. Oh, it was the last item i bought but i got a freebie from Sasa. A very weird one.

What's that???

Okay, so according to the invoice, it's a hair piece. But.. but... what kind of a hair piece was that?? It's so scary!!! Very stiff and... hairy *LOLOLOL*. It's actually a scrunchy-i later realize. But... Why? Does it look nice to wear a wild hair shaped scrunchy on your ponytail? Hmmmm... Seriously weird... They also include this cute little calendar card that i immediately misplaced somewhere but so cute i just gotta put the picture here anyway.

So, that's what i got from Sasa! Yes, i still got two more Sasa.com hauls to cover, and they are all purchased in February as well LOLOL, but that means i haven't bought anything from them since March! Improvement right! On the other hand i've subscribed to two Beauty Boxes (Vanity Trove and Beauty Treats), i've been longing to be able to to subscribe to such boxes (especially Ipsy coz i kinda like Michelle Phan) for so long and when they finally appears in Indonesia... They come on drones!!! There are two more (at least) that i know of, but they took so long to launch they got sidetracked by those two hahaha. Can't wait to receive my very first Beauty Box!!!

Enjoy the rest of your Sunday, you guys!

Rise from the (Almost) Dead

movie review

Hiiii world!!!

Did anyone missed me??? I hope so! From the (slightly exaggerated, yes only slightly lor!) title you should already know why i've been missing for the past few days, i've been very sick hikhik *cough cough, snort snort*, or should i say, i've been really ill (suddenly hearing my Brit friend D's voice ringing in my ears LOL) :p. I've caught a very very bad flu. Oh, i know it's almost a monthly sickness for me, but this is one of the worst flu i've ever got.

The day before yesterday i couldn't leave my bed *seriously* so i didn't bathe the whole day *ew ew ew i know*, i was in and out of consciousness *sorry, i tend to be even more dramatic when i'm ill* from the heavy medications, my head and bones ached like crazy and i kept on sweating a bucket and then shivering again once the medication wore off WTF FTS -____-.

This is how i felt that day.

Like a zombie

Huh? What? Felt half dead but still must be cute what, so Hello Zombie it is!!! HAHAHAHA! (Sorry, maybe too much medications still in my system, please understand if i apparent to slightly be more insane than usual okay)

It pissed me off even worse that the timing of the flu totally ruined my going out date with my cousin L, zzzz. We're planning to look for some light coats (on her part) and scarves (on my part) to bring to our up and coming *scream!!!* European tour. Now please please please God, just let our visa come out smoothly *biting on pillows*, PUH-LEASE!!!!! I'm a big bag of a worrier you see, before the visa safely issued i wouldn't even let myself 100% believe that we're really going (glass half empty kind of person, i'm really scared of rejection), heard too much horror visa stories as well (the visa only came out minutes before the departure time, etc). Seriously, it's driving me nutz zzz.

Anyway, the European outfit shopping day has been postponed until Sunday, hopefully it won't be L's turn to bail on me (because usually she bails on me, this is highly unusual-me bailing on her twice, two days in a row because initially i thought i'd be in a better condition yesterday-which i was but not by much so there's no way in hell i could muster up the strength to dress up, let alone go out yesterday!!) because i'm totally looking forward to it!

Lemme fill you in with what happened right before i fell really really sick (i don't care if anyone's interested or not, i'm still writing it :p), i actually managed to go out on Wednesday (Wednesdays are the day when Baby Boy goes to his other grandma-hunny's mum-'s home, so that's our fixed movie date day. If there are more than one interesting movies showing in cinemas then we just bring him along to play at the arcade or something), i was already starting to feel unwell, sneezing non stop *HUATCHIIII HUATTCHIIII HUATCHIIIIII* (and if you know me in real life you'd know my sneezes' really weird one zzz, people would always tell me not to hold my sneezes in, i'm not!!! That's just the way i sneeze normally WTF) and my nose was running like a waterfall (i had to stuff tissue papers on my nose LOLOL), but me being me, it didn't stop me from going out *LOL*.

We went to my sister's place *not the huge as a mall one, they haven't properly moved in yet, dunno when they will LOL, maybe next year :p* because... i wanted to borrow coats for our European trip! Dunno if you noticed yet, but i'm pretty stingy when it comes to this kind of stuffs. Coats only, cannot be worn in Indonesia *unless you're mad*, would be worn once a year tops (if we go to other cool weather countries on cooler seasons next year, what if we only go to Thailand next year???), and they mostly looked the same anyway, why not borrow from your sister who goes abroad many times in one year? She has plenty! Hihihihi... And thankfully my sis (who's in a way even stingier than me) totally approves and beckoned me to come sooner LOLOL.

Initially i only wanted to borrow male jackets for hunny lah, because i already bought a few (cheapo) light coats and L said she'd lend me one very thick one so i thought i was already covered, but my sis pulled out her (and my niece Bb's LOL, it's so nice having a growing up daughter eh, you can share clothes with her. I want one too -___-) coats and forced me to borrow some.

In the end hunny only got one coat (because he's pretty big for an Asian guy, and my bro in law's skinny with huge belly LOLOL, my nephew's are still growing and nowhere as big as my hunny, although if you've seen my hunny's pics in previous posts you'd see he's not fat or whatever-so only two coats fitted him and the other one is almost exactly the same as the one we bought for him last month in Sogo) and i ended up with two LOL. My sis said "You cannot wear only one coat on the whole trip! All the pictures will be you in one clothing!!!" LOLOL okay sissy, if you say so!!!

There were some other coats that i've already been "reserving" for my future travels HAHAHAHA. Hunny also been bugging me to get a new suitcase but me being me (again, this time i mean stingy lah), i want a baby pink suitcase that's not too expensive (the ones on 50-70% off sale, why all so fugly ones? There are a few pretty ones, but still-not baby pink LOLOL). WTF's suitcases so expensive *stingy* *stingy*. Luckily my sis came to the rescue once again, telling us she had a spare suitcase that we can borrow *fist pump*, yes!!! Why buy something that can be borrowed readily??? Save the money to shop in Europe, hunny!!! Please!!! *cheap ass traveller*.

Oh, my niece Bb may looked years maturer than her real age (13) but she's a real baby at heart (just like her lovely aunty here :p), and she hates being left by her mummy (seriously, my mum told me i was a real nuisance when i was little, always crying and won't let her go out, but refusing to go out with her! Sounds like a real annoying little b****, i'd kick that kiddo's ass!!! Oh hey, that's me! LOLOL), my sis and her hubby's going on a Russian (and Scandinavian) tour, on almost the exact date that i'd be going on our European tour. Bb's been sniffling and complaining every night, CW said *LOL*, she was contemplating on staying at my place instead but then she remembered that her fave aunt's also be leaving LOLOLOL, poor Bb!!! Then she resumed her wails :p.

We also managed to caught a movie afterward (yes, with my runny nose and non stop sneezing, if any reader happened to be in the same cinema as us that day i apologize for spreading the virus *grin*), Stoker.

I was always interested in this movie ever since i saw the movie's poster in the cinema, seeing Nicole Kidman and the poses (and the tag lines) i initially thought it'd be a little bit like Stepford Wives (that i quite liked), i couldn't be more wrong *LOL*. I did googled and read the synopsis, and i still thought it was worth watching.

This movie's directed by a South Korean director, Park Chan Wook. He is apparently well known for his twisted and often brutal (seriously, very) style. I watched quite a lot of Korean thriller and horrors (i personally prefer Japanese, Chinese and Thai horrors though, Korean ones often ended up with a very weird and confusing ending-that really frustrates me) and i noticed a lot of Korean thriller style shoot throughout the movie, including the actors' demeanor and acts. It was quite interesting for me seeing all the Caucasians acted that way, i dunno if you know what i mean, it's slightly different than how they act usually in an American horror/thriller.

Stoker told a story of India, a girl who lost her dad suddenly on an automobile accident and was left with her emotionally unstable mum (played successfully by Nicole Kidman, i noticed she plays crazies well hehe) and the sudden arrival of her uncle who she never even knew existed (there were a lot of rumors on where he was before, one of them jolted me from my seat "He was digging gold in Indonesia"-what are we the Wild Wild West? WTF). Things began happening since his arrival and India starting to suspect him for having ulterior motives, but instead of being scared of him, she becomes increasingly infatuated with him. Can't tell you the rest as usual coz i don't want to spoil it for anyone who plans to see it lah haha.

But seriously *stare hard*, this movie's not your usual thriller lah, it really is twisted and a bit crazy (although a bit slow paced at times, you know like most Korean thriller/horror with their artsy-slow shoots), lots of WTF moments as well, totally not suitable for anyone below 21 lah hahaha. The ending also quite WTF (what do you expect from a South Korean director, huh?), it wasn't particularly confusing but more of a WHY LIKE THAT???? type, if you know what i mean LOL.

I'd suggest people who loves weird, twisted, unpredictable movies to go watch it :D. I am quite strange myself that's why i kinda enjoyed this movie (although i can tell hunny's not really into it LOL, he's a straight-Hollywood-family-friendly-movies type of guy, so crazy twisted movies like this one's definitely out of his comfort zone) hahaha. Just don't expect your usual Hollywood thriller/horror because you'd surely be disappointed.

Then the next two days i had a long long rendez-vouz with my bed zzzz. Moving

forward to today! I am not exactly well yet (spent most of the day snoozing, trying to gain some energies for later), but it's Saturday night and #Undecided and i had been planning for a while to buy A's belated birthday present! (her birthday's on March 25th but then they went to Singapore-which travel posts we should definitely kiss goodbye seeing #Undecided's behavior, doesn't look like she's gonna start writing anytime soon zzzz-and the celebration's only gonna be held on April 15th, it's gonna be the most understated and relaxed birthday ever, you'll see why! I'll make #Undecided write a joint post about it at least!!!)

I'm still so far away from being my normal self that i actually was super dizzy after i finished putting on my make up (coz i'm so sick, i need to put more make up than usual to fake that healthy flush LOL), #Undecided was like "OMG BB, how? Should we not go???" and i was like "No BB, i'm done with my make up. I die also i must go" which cracked her up, glad to amuse you Bb *sour face*.

The level of discomfort was upped triple, because not only i was (am) still very sick (zzzz), the weather's been crazy HOT lately (with crazy thunderstorms. I was jolted awake by a super duper triple LOUD thunder last night, anyone else heard that? I seriously had never heard a louder thunder in my life!), plus we finally got our periods (talking about #Undecided and i, if anyone's hoping for a baby #Pink or baby #Undecided, sorry! Not happening yet! LOL) after being late for almost a month (in my case) and 2 weeks (in #Undecided's case, which is super rare because her period's usually moves up) *TMI? Sorry :D*, like... seriously... this cosmic bonding thingy's seriously getting out of hand. As soon as #Undecided told me she got her period, took my uterus a few hours to decide it was her turn. WTF -___-.

We were like two grandmas today, moving slowly "So tired.. so tired... Oh my tummy ouch ouch ouch" all the time, and i had to stop and sat down a few time because i was too dizzy. We're such a cool duo, eh?

It was super crowded as well today in GM OMG OMG, bumped up with lots and lost of people we knew. I was "captured" by BB and CW straightway and we were "captured" right away again by my friend M who works on a travel agency (yes, it's that period again, when travel agency holds exhibitions in the malls for their up and coming tours), she saw the big fish hahaha (CW lah, she always take the expensive tours with her hubby and children, 5 persons at a time! I'm a cheapo of course i prefer the cheap tours LOLOL) so we were stuck for a very long time -___-... Walked a few steps only to be captured once again my another close friend of mine O LOLOL, she works on another tour company (ya lah, told you me and hunny are Tourism Major graduates).

With so many bumps and delays (haha, not well yet, dramatic flair still in full blown) #Undecided and i actually managed to find all the perfect things to be made into a birthday parcel for our dear BFF, A *awww, i'm still so fuzzy and warm, love you A, muackkkssss*. Won't reveal what we got now, wait until the celebration then we'll show you *complete with the big announcement, but most of you should've already guessed by now lah haha*.

As usual, we had tons of laughs and fun, i really needed those laughter *glum* (been so low lately), i guess my mood always improves whenever i see my BFF! Love ya #Undecided (although i hate you for not writing for our blog for so long and dunno for how much longer! ZZZZ!!!)! And love y'all for reading my feverish ramblings!

Not a recent OOTD, i was still using my Blackberry to capture my OOTD *LOL*, haven't discovered the gem that is my camera! LOLOL

Review : My Beauty Diary Valentine Chocolate Set (Sheet Mask)

bulgarian white rose mask

Hi guys...

Hope y'all doing better than me, i'm currently feeling horrible (since yesterday afternoon actually), my bones ache, my throat hurts, i kept on coughing non stop and i'm having an on-and-off fever. I don't know what's happening to me but i hope it'll pass soon! I know it sounds crazy but #Undecided and i have this "cosmic" connection LOL, like when one of us is sick, the other will be sick soon. When one of us is pissed, soon the other will be too. And right now our connection is, both of us are late with our periods zzzzz. I do hope this is not a sign of pregnancy (the sudden illness) :p, please come next year, baby! Mummy's got a packed schedule this year LOLOL.

Actually i felt not so bad this morning/afternoon, i was even energized enough to do lots of work (with the help of lovely Rosemary, thank you so much babe! You really are my hero! I'm hopeless when it comes to editing and photo shopping, even arranging photos in one layout is way out of my abilty LOL, that's when Rosemary came and rescue me), but once the evening came i feel like dying already WTH -___-.

So i didn't feel like writing originally, but since #Undecided seems to going to be missing (i know she's been missing for a while already, i mean a while more lah haha) for awhile (she told me "I have so many things to write, i just don't have the WILL to" FOL) i feel obliged somehow to write more (over compesating-anyone?). Told ya i'm a creature of habit, once i made myself write regularly it's almost impossible for me not to write. Haish. Probably an OCD thingy as well. FML.

Anyway, i'm gonna review the sheet mask i've been using every week lately (more than half of the box is finished by now) that i've purchased from Sasa My Beauty Diary Valentine Chocolate Set (you can read my haul here)

Picture taken from Sasa.com

I think it's a limited edition they came up with for Valentine's Day? I don't really know but it doesn't seem to still be available in Sasa anymore but i thought i'd review them anyway because My Beauty Diary has (LOADS) of other masks and i'm sure they sells chocolate and rose ones (like the ones in this set) separately (or something similar at least like this Chocolate Truffle ones or something), so if you're thinking of buying a similar product from them you'd at least have a clear picture on what to expect, okay :)!

My Beauty Diary's very famous in Asia (and i read on some UK and American blogs, seems like it's starting to make their way there too!) and i'm sure most of you have already heard of them. They've been around for quite a while but this is the first time i'm trying them out since i'm only very recently getting into the masks routine.

My Beauty Diary Valentine Chocolate Set

The set comes in a quite bulky transparent bulky box, it's quite heavy since they contained 12 pieces of sheet masks. Even though the set is called "Valentine Chocolate Set" but there were not only Chocolate masks inside, there were also Rose masks there (6 of each), Bulgarian White Rose masks to be exact.

I tried the Bulgarian White Rose mask first (because it actually was the one that attracted me to buy this set, you know Rose's my favorite floral scent).

My Beauty Diary Bulgarian White Rose mask

Comes in a pale baby pink sachet, so pretty

The sachet's pale pink and quite plain (but i'm biased, whenever i see baby pinks i'd immediately fall in love no matter what) with Chinese writings on them (i googled and i think this brand came from Taiwan, please correct me if i'm wrong).

Once you tear off the sachet, you'll find the sheet mask itself, it is folded neatly with a plastic layer inside, probably to make them less prone to tearing. Unlike other sheet masks i used before (NuFace's, Acnes', etc) with sturdier sheets, MBD's (short for My Beauty Diary lah :p) are much softer and thinner, it's not super fragile or anything but you'd want to be gentle with it (and watch those claws LOL), once i removed them roughly and i succesfully tore the sheet in pieces, thankfully it was after i was finished using them.

I love the way this mask smells! LOVE LOVE it! Heavenly rose smell, don't worry if you have a sensitive nose because it's actually quite subtle and now over powering at all, so it won't assault your nose haha. The sheet's absolutely drenched in the serum, after i finished putting them on my face my hands would be absolutely drenched in liquid so i rub them all over my hunny's face *waste not, people*, they are more than enough for his entire face!!!

After a while the masks made my skin tingle a little bit, on the first use the tingling sensation around my mouth was a little bit too much, kinda like when you accidentally wipe your mouth area after touching eucalyptus oil LOL, but less severe of course.

I removed them after about an hour LOL (instruction said 30 minutes but it was still very wet so i left them a longer :p), and even after one hour when i squeezed the sheet lots of the serum would still be there! I then proceed to use them on hunny's hands and feet, yes all four of them! My hunny's 1.79cm tall okay, so he has very long limbs, and the remaining serum was always enough to cover everything, superb!

I find my skin to be slightly sticky afterward, dries off quite fast (but won't be as dry as Acnes okay since this one's not targeted to control oil on your skin). The next morning my face would be very oily LOL and sticky, but that's okay, it's because this mask is supposed to moisturize (and lighten, but i'm sure they mean brighten) your skin, the oil on my face didn't become worse or anything so no harm done. My face does feel very soft, supple and brighter after each use! I am loving it to the max!

Wahahahaha, did i scare you? (hey, you should be used to photos of me wearing sheet masks by now :p)

What about the chocolate one?

My Beauty Diary Chocolate Mask

The sachet itself is cuter than the Bulgarian White Rose, with its mock cartoon-chocolate bar prints and writings, inside's exactly the same with the Bulgarian Rose so i didn't take any pictures.

How the chocolate one feels on and after were also almost the same with the Bulgarian Rose, but i personally feel it's less tingly than the other one somehow. I love the smell of this one too (and hunny does too, i think he likes this one better than the rose one coz he's a guy right haha. Yes, of course i also slather the extra serum all over him!), very yummy like a real chocolate! It does not smell like an overpowering artificial chocolate like how most beauty stuffs with chocolate scents tend to be, this mask actually smells really natural. So if you like your masks to smell yummy, this one is a must try!

I love this set and would recommend this MBD masks, i think it'd work well on dry skin as well (because it does my hunny's super dry skin good), and for people with oily skin-there's nothing not to love from these masks. And they are not expensive either! I totally thought MBS' masks would be expensive but this set was USD 13.50, or roughly IDR 130.000 for 12 pieces, so it's actually only IDR 10.800 something each! That's a lot cheaper than those sheet masks you can purchase locally at drugstores or groceries! Even the Acnes ones costs me like IDR 16.000! You can buy it at Sasa.com when they are having a free shipping promo (with minimum purchase, you can buy two sets and stock them or something-an advice from the human squirell)!

So, of course i'd purchase more (actually because i was so in love with these masks i quickly ordered a bunch of other masks from Sasa :p, another dozen or so but from different brands and variants), i'd want to try other variants though (but i'm definitely getting the Bulgarian White Rose again because i love the smell so much!).

Leaving your with a photo of #Undecided and i with our other BFFs (plus my very pregnant cousin, L), taken on my birthday two years ago (i think), the dress code was animal print!! Yes, it was just to piss #Undecided off but she was game enough to actually purchase and wore one! That's how much she loves me! LOL!

Miss hanging out with all of u T.T

#Pink's Relaxing Long Weekend (with movie review+OOTD+FOTD)

culinary

Hi guys!

How's everybody doing today? Starting to get back to routines (not too depressing, i hope haha)? And how was your long weekend? As you know, i had a slow, lazy (and very understated) long weekend, mostly at home *LOL*. We did try to keep Baby Boy entertained by taking him to the malls, etc. Will tell ya about our weekend, don't expect photos (except cam-whoring-i mean OOTD and FOTD-pictures because we just do usual stuffs lah, not picture worthy at all LOL).

Anyway, it's super hot and humid again lately in Surabaya OMG, seriously *sigh*. It's still raining a lot but very hot, haishhh, i really miss those short cold days in Surabaya (or it was probably not too short, i was just enjoying those days so much that it felt fleeting). Reading UK and American blogs with the writers complaining about spring isn't coming soon enough.. My God, grass is definitely always greener on the other side, ya?

Really, i was busy organizing the mountains of washed clothes (yes, i do wifely chores too, although this is probably the only one? Haha) that i've been neglecting for quite a while :p, i purposefully didn't turn on the air conditioner in my walk in closet coz i thought i needed to sweat a bit, little that i know i wouldn't just sweat i literally melted zzzz, sweat was running down my face like waterfall that i had to keep wiping my face to stop them from getting into my face. I haven't sweat like that in a long time, the last time was when i was still regularly exercising in my old work out place (that closed down already) LOL.

So, the official long weekend started on late Thursday right? Nothing mention-worthy that day, we just spent the evening at home, Baby Boy was busy playing with the X-Box, i blogged and got stressed out by my job (everything's so calm right now, i don't really have much things to do, i'm so boredddd!!! Dare i say i miss being stressed out by work again? So soon! LOL), hunny was busy watching YouTube and browsing the net, we ended the night like how we always do lately, watching Running Man on YouTube, you know Running Man has over a hundred episodes already, we started watching only recently so we only got to 40-something episode so far LOL, but we also watched the newest episodes already *LOL*.

On Friday, we woke up (very) late except Baby Boy who has a super annoying habit of rising early whenever he's on a holiday at home but is hell to rouse whenever he has school (or on a holiday overseas! ZZZZ). On the late afternoon we finally got our asses out of the house *LOL*, we only went to ECC (the neighbourhood mini mall we frequented) so i didn't bother to dress up (but maybe my version of not dressing up is different than other people's sometimes because i still attracted a lot of stared zzzz), i only wore stuffs i wore and hadn't washed yet LOLOL.

Hot pink sabrina top : random shop, Hot pants : Magnolia, Denim patterned legging : random online shop

Yeah yeah, that's the same top i wore for my Color-Blocking look *LOL*.

I wore minimal amount of make up that day, just some light foundie+concealer+powder, blush on (and later nude pink lipstick, but i only wore Vaseline on those pictures) but since i was bored and had lots of extra time i decided to use my false eyelashes out for the very first time! LOL *used it twice for picture taking purposes at home only LOL*. Too bad it's not noticeable in pictures, which is weird because it's very luscious and long and curly in real life. Anyone who had eyes could see i was wearing a falsies lah, probably why i attracted so much stares? Hahahaha. it was so long that when i opened my eyes they almost touched my eyebrows! WTF.

Wahahahaa looked so stupid here :p

Oh, i've been wanting to show you my favorite pair of flat shoes that i've been wearing so much lately. I don't really have a lot of flat shoes because theya re painful and uncomfortable (the ones i had before), i prefer flat sandals for weekdays/shopping spree days and heeled shoes/sandals on weekends. But i was super surprised when i try on this flat shoes and they are super duper comfortable! (And quite stylish as well, if i may say so myself :p)

Sorry it's a bit yucky already coz i've used it a lot haha

You can see the inner's been worn out because i've been wearing it so much lately, it's just so comfortable and easy to pair with my clothes! I got it from Debenhams in Jakarta, it was only IDR 99.000! Mad cheap!

Anyway, while Baby Boy was playing at the arcade, we watched The Host.

You know i'm a Twi-hard right? I was a late Twi-hard though because i only started reading the books after the first movie was released (because i loved the movie so much), and i am a huge fan of the writer, Stephenie Meyer too. When The Host book came out i quickly bought it but sadly, i didn't like it much. I guess because i was hoping for something like Twilight and this book's nothing like Twilight, and also because i do not like aliens stories/movies/whatever i guess.

So when the movie came out i wasn't all that excited or whatever, after all i loved all four of Twilight saga books but only loved the first and last two movies, the second and third was an utter disappointment for me. That's why didn't have any expectations for The Host because, well, i didn't even like the book right!

But the movie turned out to be very good! I'm shocked!!! I loved it! It's like, sooo much better than the book. It made me cry (a few times), thank God my false lashes didn't fall off (Daiso's eyelash glue's pretty good, apparently!!!) haha.

For those of you who don't know what The Host is about, well it tells a story about the earth when humans were already (almost) completely taken over by another species (yes, aliens lah), not only the earth itself, but the human bodies were taken over by them (the aliens in this movie's kinda like a parasite), the heroine (Melanie Stryder) was one of the very last survivors, and one day she was captured and a soul named Wanderer was placed into her body, the Seekers made Wanderer poke into Melanie's memories to find the hiding place of the other survivors, including Melanie's lover, Jared, and her kid brother (Jamie).

After a while Wanderer developed a close connection with Melanie and felt protective of Jared and Jamie as well and they ran off to find them, at the same time being chased by the Seekers. What happened to Melanie and Wanderer next? Will they be forced to share a body forever? I'm not gonna spoil it for you! Go watch it, it's so good!

I find this movie to be very touching and heart warming (my favorite kind of words haha), at the same time thrilling and exciting (my hunny seemed to like it too, he didn't seem to enjoy the Twilight saga that much, especially when i made him watched the movie a third time FHL LOLOL), other than the superb directing, the aspect that made this movie so awesome is the acting of the leading lady, Saoirse Ronan (yes, i had to google to write her name correctly). I found her to be very charming and enchanting, and convincing as an alien. Not to mention incredibly pretty as well (Btw, she's only a year older than my eldest nephew FML-but my nephew's old enough to be my little brother anyway :p).

Saoirse Ronan

Of course, it's a young adult-science fiction romance, so it's not very "deep" or thought provoking or whatever whatsoever pretentious movie critics wannabe calls them lah haha, but for a movie lover like me (who's very shallow when it comes to my movie preferences) it's really good :p.

I don't find any of the guys in this movie particularly attractive, but i imagine the younger girls would love Max Irons (now, this guy's around my age, makes me feel better a bit, i feel so old when i see Saoirse's age!) who played Jared.

Max Irons

So pretty (Max), totally not my cup of tea LOLOL. Anyway, i thought Soairse was familiar looking (and just realized where i saw her before this movie after googling her, she was so different in Hanna! Nowhere near her pretty self in this movie!) but most of the casts were quite unknown, the most famous face i saw in this movie was Diane Kruger (who was such a bitch in this movie i wanted to scratch her face LOL).

After the movie we went to Papaya (another high end supermarket that sells Japanese and Korean products mostly) to buy some yakiniku meats (too bad the only ones available was local meats, it was a bit tough zzzz) because hunny saw my mum's newly arrived mini stove and was itching to try it LOLOL. We ended up having a yakiniku supper (no, we didn't have dinner, it was pretty late already when we came out of the movie. What's important for us was getting Baby Boy and his nanny their dinner lah, us-our eating hours are totally messed up LOL) at home, just the two us us haha.

It was really nice actually :D. I guess whatever you do in life, as long as you're with someone you love, it doesn't really matter how simple or mundane those stuffs are, you'd still be having fun, eh? So mushy aiyoh hahahaa. We just continued watching Running Man lah afterward (so predictable hahahaa. That's what we do most of the evening, unless hunny got a new Xbox game, then i'd be watching Asian horror movies on my tablet. Do you know there's a Japanese Paranormal Activity??? It was pretty good too!)

Moving on to Saturday, i was awoken very very early by my moaning hunny and Baby Boy OMG. Both were being a huge baby in their sleeps! Both were not feeling well i guess, and i'm being a light sleeper that i am, was very disturbed by their noises -____-. Went down to fetch them some medicine and force feed them. Now, i am severely insomniac, it's really hard for me to fall asleep but very easy to be woken up by rude environment *LOL* (i don't mean it's easy for me to wake up, without any disturbance i won't be waking up anytime soon! But when there are annoying noises etc, i'd be wide awake in no time) and it was impossible for me to go back to sleep anytime soon zzzz.

Did manage to sleep for a bit more later, but still very tired and zombie-like when i woke up the second time. Zzzzzzz.

Again, we dragged our lazy asses out in the late evening *mostly because i feel bad if i make Baby Boy stay at home again, it's holiday after all. I didn't feel like going out that day actually*, and of course it's Saturday night and all, even when i don't feel like going out i still dressed up (although i wouldn't call it to the nines hahaha)

Creme inner tee : Magnolia, Floral dress : Body and Soul

One thing about me, when i'm only going out with my family i never bothered to put on new stuffs LOLOL. I just chose something from my "old" stash (but mostly only worn once or twice before lah) hahaha. The inner i already wore a thousand times (okay, exaggerating much?) because it's just an inner lah, the dress i've had forever lah haha. Seriously, it was so much tighter the last time i worn this, it's very loose now, am i losing weight? (yeah right, wishful thinking! HAHA). Anyway, i brightened the photos below so you can see the interesting china (as in porcelain) like pattern of the dress.

Sorry ah the mirror a bit dirty, need to go scold my maid now :p

You see the super deep cut on the chest area? Haha... I'd never wear this without inner, ever! Not only because i don't do sexy lah, but also because my boobs didn't even begin to fill the dress okay! And it's size S already LOLOL. Told ya i can fit into small sized clothes because i have no boobs zzzz. In real life if you see me you can see the boobs area flapping away, i'd bee exposing the whole thing to the world without innie hahahaha. But seriously, Body and Soul clothing size is all over the place, on some cuts i'd have to wear XS and on others i can barely fit into the L one. WTF.

I also am too lazy to try on new style or colors whenever i'm going out with my family only haha, this is almost the exact same make up as the look i did for my niece's birthday (with the exact same products as well), only i used the gold creme eye shadow a lot more, as a base too.

Lazy and uncreative look haha

Do you see the dainty bracelet i wore?

I've been wearing it for a week or so haha. My mum gave it to me (with a matching necklace), it's real gold with colorful semi-precious stones. She originally bought it for one of my Singaporean aunts but it didn't fit or something, which is crazy because it's MASSIVE. When i first put it on it immediately fell out from my hands because it's that HUGE haha.

So she went and remove three links (and added them to the necklace) before giving it to me, all the while saying "But it's so small now, this wouldn't fit you! How can you hands be so small?". WTF mother -____-. I know i'm big but i'm not gigantic lah!!! Even when she was putting it on me and clearly it fit me, she kept on saying that it wouldn't fit. What's with mother and their conviction that their daughters are fat and ugly? Huh.

It was pretty boring at GM that night -____-.... nothing to buy also, even though there's a midnite sale (they call it midnight but it started at 6 or something LOL) in Centro, there's nothing interesting to buy zzzz... But i did buy a red dress i've been eyeing forever (it's been on a 50% off sale, and now 70%) but i never got because it has a tiny (microscopic) hole on the seam, it's easily fixable (Baby Boy's nanny's pretty good at small reparations and she stitched the hole already, completely recovered haha).

I want to wear it for my up and coming cousin's wedding (in June), i was looking for other red dress (because...errr...i actually had this dress in black already :p), but nothing caught my eyes like this one. It's not bright red (more maroon actually) like most of the dresses available, and it's short with one shouldered feature (the sleeved side is long!), my favo kind of dress! Sexy enough without revealing too much arms (one arm is okay), because my arms are not for public viewings, too scary hahahaha. You'd see the dress on future haul post okay :p.

Then we just take Baby Boy (who had been playing at the arcade, what else? He's obsessed) to buy a new toy like i promised (salary, remember? Haha) and go home! So boring right...

Sunday was even more boring, we lazed around like zombies (like i said, we were down with flu haha)-but hunny did left in the morning with his mum for another round of Qing Ming stuffs (this time to a beach nearby to throw some flowers, this ritual is for ancestors that were departed and been cremated and released into the sea, this was for his deceased dad). Oh the night before we bought more yakiniku meats (pork bellies, this time) at Ranch Market and finally got the imported meat we wanted (much more tender and flavorful) and in the late morning we had a second round of yakiniku brunch hahaha (sorry, no picture, was busy eating :p)

Since Baby Boy is currently obsessed with sushi and i've always been a huge fan of sushi, we were delighted to found Peco Peco, a sushi stall that receive delivery orders. A bit disappointed by the service though, we called in the afternoon, ordering and asking them to send the food at 6. At 6 something there was no trace of the delivery guy yet so we called again, and they were casually saying it's gonna take a while more because they'd need to make another delivery to Pondok Candra (which is MILES away, it's actually another district altogether) first, WTF???

Hunny was furious (and he's like super patient actually, except to Baby Boy i dunno why) and threatened to cancel the order altogether, but they said okay okay, the delivery man's already on the way. He finally showed up at 6.35 or something zzzz. It was good but i'm not sure i'd order the take away anymore.

Sorry, photo's taken with my Blackberry :p

Oh, when we went to Papaya on Friday we bought a small container of Tobiko because Baby Boy and i are crazy about them, we sprinkled them a LOT on each sushi (because they are very stingy with the tobiko haaha), i think i overdosed on tobiko already *sick*. Don't worry, three of us didn't finish them all, but mainly because lots of them contains raw salmon and i do not eat raw anything (except some veggies for salads/Korean BBQ), yuck!

Finished this in one go *LOL*

So that's how my long weekend went! Hopefully i'd have more interesting stories of my weekends next! (I most probably would because friends' birthday and birthday celebrations are coming up!)

Oh, my parents came back from Singapore already, bearing gifts *yay*, will show you later, super happy especially for the Garnier products (not available in Indonesia) i asked my mum to buy for me!

Toodles!
