South Korea 2017 : Haedong Yonggungsa Temple
10:24:00 PM
Hello helloooo...
First post in September on the 11th of September, wow... Good job Mindy *LOL*.
Lately i think it's almost a habit for me trying to explain the reasons i've been absent from my blog but after a while i think it's plain to see that most of the time i am just lazy and have lost most of my drive. This is sad but i also think inevitable - i have been bloggin for almost 6 years non stop after all. So i've decided not to stress myself anymore, i will blog when i have the time and i feel like doing it (except for sponsored posts which i obviously have no choice about hahaha) - who knows, this might prompt me to fall back in love with blogging.
In the meantime, if you miss me while i'm away sporadically *ahem*, you have to follow me on Instagram because i am unhealthily active there. I post everyday and i Instastory almost all the time too *LOL*, it'd be easier to keep in touch there. But ofc, for the longer and more detailed stories, i will always come back home. Here.
Anyway, i am back to my South Korean trip post. I initially thought this was going to be the last post but i ended up finding a lot of photos in my phone backup that need to be featured in this blog (because good memories should always be immortalized) so this series is still going to continue for a little while again (although honestly i can't wait to share some stories of the places i went to in KL in my latest trip).
This time round we're gonna talk about our visit to Haedong Yonggungsa Temple
Haedong Yonggungsa Temple 86 Yonggung-gil, Gijang-eup, Gijang, Busan, South Korea |
This temple is built on a cliff and the view here is pretty breath taking. This was all of us' first time so as usual, CL guided us with the help of Google *LOL*. We ended up walking up the hill pretty far (CL found out on her second visit that there is a way for us to walk shorter distance. Honestly i don't mind walking tho, problem was it was a lot warmer than i anticipated and i insisted to wear my pink long coat because i specifically bought the coat for this trip *FML*, ended up carrying it like an idiot most of the time because i was sweating bullets) to the location.
Outside the temple there is sort of a marketplace where you can buy various street snacks and souvenirs (i bought a Chinese horoscope leather bracelet that i've been wearing nonstop lately. If you see wearing a brown leather wrap bracelet in my current photos, it's the one i bought here and it has a tiny pic of my Chinese horoscope symbol : a pig hahaha).
Dis is errr.. smoked cuttlefish? CL is obsessed with these :p |
Hunny bought these candied peanuts and it was hard AF. Indonesian ting ting is still da best i guess :)) |
This area is lined with statues including each symbol of the Chinese horoscope |
Ofc we gotta take a pic with ours, rite! |
You have to go up and climb some stairs to go to the upper part of the temple, the climb was made to be pretty intimidating online, but personally i don't think it's that bad |
View from the top is worth the climb haha |
The view reminds me of Bali somehow, although it's totally different ofc hehe |
Why is this bridge so crowded? |
The vibe is very Chinese here, no? |
I just realized that the sign was written in Chinese characters |
OOTD, still insisting on that pink coat before giving up. I have yet to wear this coat properly, we need a fall season trip T.T... |
I admit i am slightly obsessed with piggies so imagine my delight when i see 2 gold piggies |
Gotta get one of meself |
A very familiar sight if you watch Asian movies... especially the horror ones! |
There are loads of tiny statues like this too that are obviously placed there. I wonder what's the back story of that. If anyone knows, feel free to tell me! |
I am not into Korean guys but i am kinda into Korean doggies... They just look so adorable! |
I think we had bimbimbap and this is the veggies and egg before we mix in the gochujang and rice |
One of my fave Korean food : pajeon. Yum! My hunny can cook this btw :p |
So CL insisted on ordering makgeolli, which none of us (except for her i guess) liked but are forced to drink because it came in a huge bowl |
And that's how we ended out visit to Haedong Yonggungsa Temple, a very nice and beautiful place - totally recommended to visit if you're in Busan. I would love to come back! Maybe when the weather is cooler hahaha.
I think imma blog about Gamcheon Village next, please stay tuned!
