Basic-O-Base 12 : Madeca 21 Tecasol No Sebum Pact (SPONSORED)

Hey guys!

I know i have quite a lot of international readers (ahem), but i think i can safely assume that most of my readers are from Indonesia like. As people who lives in a very tropical country with high humidity level, lots of us have oily skin and big pores. Ofc, there are a lot of Indonesian with dry skin too but we can say that oily skin is very common here. With oily skin and big pores, we sometimes have problem with makeup because 1, we tend to be more prone to acne therefore we have to be more careful when choosing our base makeup especially and 2, we are often frustrated of how our base makeup melt and shifted in no time due to our over active oil glands!

This is why when i revealed that i personally also have a very oily skin, one of the most common beauty related question that i got is how my makeup stay perfect all day long and how i avoid getting acnes even though i wear a lot of makeup (this latter one is actually kinda irrelevant because even though you wear a lot of makeup as long as you cleanse properly, thoroughly and followed by a good skin care regime that suits your skin type, your skin should not be acting up), well one of the answers to this (because i also would factor in using a good base makeup and setting spray) is by using an oil control pact powder to set your base. Today i have a review of a recommended oil control pact from Madeca 21 Tecasol No Sebum Pact that i have been using non stop ever since i received it.
Madeca 21 Tecasol No Sebum Pact
Btw Madeca 21 is another brand from Dongkook Pharmaceutical, the same company that brought us Centellian 24 that produces my favorite cream and mask (read my review of Centellian 24 Madeca Cream and Madeca Derma Mask II here) so yeah, i guess i was pretty biased and knew that it's gonna be good from the beginning *LOL*.
Madeca 21 Tecasol No Sebum Pact
Okay, let's learn about the product first ofc (don't you feel like you're taking a lesson whenever you're reading my reviews hahaha i also am learning with you as i write my reviews so we are study buddies okay!) :
Claims to keep your skin fresh and matte all day long, can be used as finishing powder, replacement for oil control paper and even be used on your scalp to as a make-shift dry shampoo
Also claims to clarify skin tine, control skin balance and smooth skin texture
It contains Osmopur that protects skin from fine fust and air pollution!
The one thing that made me super interested in this product for sure, my fave skin care ingredient ever is key in this product too : Centella Asiatica! This is why the powder won't cause skin problems for you even if you use it everyday but instead it would help your skin to get better with all the benefits that CiCa possesses
In the same line as the pact there are also the Tecasol Cream, Gel Cream and Mask Sheet that are pretty interesting to me too (but i can't comment on because i haven't use okay)
Okay let's get on with the review!
Madeca 21 Tecasol No Sebum Pact comes in a card box dominated with white and orange color
As usual, the information is in Korean so i can't really say much about it *LOL*, but here are the ingredient list :
Mica,Triethoxycaprylylsilane,Kaolin,Polymethylsilsesquioxane,Silica,Dimethicone,Aluminum Starch Octenylsuccinate,Polyethylene,Asiaticoside,Asiatic acid,Madecassic acid,Iron Oxides(CI 77492), Mica,Methicone, Iron Oxides(CI 77491),Mica, Methicone Iron Oxides(CI 77499), Mica, Methicone, Octyldodecyl Stearoyl Stearate, Phytosqualane, Ethylhexylglycerin, Glyceryl Caprylate, Aqua, Glycerin, PEG-8, Caprylyl Glycol, Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Flower Extract, PPG-1-PEG-9 Lauryl Glycol Ether, Butylene Glycol, Hedera Helix (Ivy) Leaf/Stem Extract, Phytic Acid, Sodium Polyacrylate
The pact is pretty cutely designed, dominated with white and green shade and it's pretty small so it's easy to carry around (it contains 8gr worth of product)
Once you open it up
It comes with a soft and honestly pretty generic light puff that turns out to be the actual perfect applicator for the product
I think it only has one shade and it translates pretty much translucent for me, it does give me a brightening effect that might be an issue for people for deeper skin tone (because it can make me a little bit ashy and i am already very pale) so it works well with all of my base products
So as it is a no sebum pact, the texture of the pact is pretty stiff but still very soft. It is powdery ofc as it should be to be able to give you a matte finish, but it is very light and soft.
So soft that picking it up with brushes wouldn't work. I use brushes for my powders but i translates to nothing when i tried using brushes with this powder, my brushes simply couldn't pick any of the products up that it really frustrates me on my first trials, then i realized that only the light puff can pick up the perfect amount to use!
This is my face after using light foundation (it has very low coverage like BB Cream) and a bit of concealer, you can see how it hzas a pretty dewy finish
And this is after using the Tecasol No Sebum Pact as a finishing powder, it immediately mattify my skin perfectly, brighten up the tone of my skin also gives a blurring effect that my pores are less visible
Ofc as it is a mattifying powder, you can see that it is very powdery and makes the area around my nose looksvery dry. This is actually expected but totally easy to correct by using a setting spray/facial mist after you finish your makeup (ofc, choose the mattifying one too or just the normal one, if you use a dewy one you'd defy the purpose of this powder surely) it would make the powder melt into your skin and makes it look like your skin again. A technique that never fails for me.

This powder is said to be suitable for all skin type and especially catered towards sensitive, acne prone skin but obviously this is not a product for those of you who have dry skin or want a very dewy finish look for your makeup. This product is actually aimed towards younger people (i guess the name Madeca 21 also refers to the demographic, 21 year olds - like Centellian 24 is actually aimed for 24 year olds) but all of us who has oily skin and or acne prone can definitely benefit from it.
This is how it looks on top of my heavier foundation
You can see even better here that it emphasizes dry spots, but not to worry... Like i mentioned face mist/setting spray will fix it
As it is pretty much translucent, it gives no coverage even though it does have a blurring effect (which i love) so i personally like to add another powder with coverage (that has less powdery texture) on top of the Tecasol No Sebum Pact for a perfectly flawless coverage that will last all day.

For me it works really well to set my base makeup and it definitely help to control my natually oily skin better, but it doesn't mean i will have a perfectly matte complexion all day long, but it helps me having to blot less and that's what i am looking for in an oil control pact. I personally don't use it to blot because when i get very oily, i don't like to add more products on top of my oil *ew*, i find it gross and i also worry about the condition of the puff *LOL* so i still prefer to use blotting films instead.

Another note is that my skin is sensitive and has allergy problems in the past year or so, this product does NOT trigger my allergy but on certain days, it makes my face a little bit itchy for a few seconds after applying it. No other side effect other than this (and this doesn't occur often either, only on days where my skin is especially sensitive) but i think this should be informed, in case some of you experience something similar to me.

As for acne prevention and all, i don't really know how effective this  powder is on its own (i think you should have a proper skin care routine to back it up for sure) but what i do know that using this powder daily does not make my skin breakout or give any weird signs so i feel totally at ease and safe to continuously use it.

The powder is effective and i would say pretty affordable (IDR 159,000 at my Charis Shop, but it seems to be out of stock at the moment :(... Hopefully they'd stock up soon) too so if you are looking for an oil control powder that also gives you a bonus of blurring your pores, i would definitely suggest you to check this product out. I would recommend to use it to set your base, but even if you do not really wear makeup and just looking for a mattifying powder to use on top of you skin care to control you sebum, this could be a solid choice. Just don't expect any coverage from it, that is.
This is how my makeup looks using Madeca 21 Tecasol No Sebum Pact on top of my heavier duty foundation, under a creamier powder. My skin looks perfectly smooth and flawless after spraying it with a facial mist in the end, no dry spot spotted!
