This blog post is super special for me because it's about Surabaya Beauty Blogger's 1st Anniversary, KYAAAA!!!

Surabaya Beauty Blogger squad-almost full squad minus 5 members who couldn't attend :(

Not only this event is super duper special because Surabaya Beauty Blogger is obviously like my own baby, but also because i decided to grab two capable friends (who are also members so i knew they would do their best) as decor team/comittee and handle the whole thing ourselves! I was super nervous on the days leading to this big day (so stressed that the night before, i suddenly woke up at 3 AM and couldn't go back to sleep until like, 5 -___-) because it's the very first event where i actually fully handled myself so i kept on forgetting little, very important details T.T.

A lot of stuffs were done a few days before the D day, in panic *LOL*-Not only that, there were also quite some troubles that mainly revolves around our venue (we weren't even sure where the event was going to be held suddenly less than 2 weeks before the big day when we got news that our original venue suddenly changed their policy!). But i can safely say that the event was a total success and we had so so SOOO MUCH fun!

I would normally take pictures of behind the scenes so i can blog about it like i did Woman Trunk (btw, i decided not to blog about the actual Woman Trunk event *LOL* coz it's already so stale and you can read all about it in our official bloggers' blogs anyway, i think my behind the scene post is already enough to give you vibes of the actual event!) but i guess i had too much going on in mind brain that it didn't occur to me until now >.<.

Redha and Gita were our official decor team/event comittee and they were already at our venue (Muttonbird Bistro & Rooftop, Jalan Dr. Ir. H. Soekarno No.104, Kedung Baruk, Rungkut, Kota SBY, Jawa Timur 60298) setting up stuffs when i arrived. What surprised me was that Lilies and her team from WomanBlitz were also already there helping up T.T, i am super duper touched because we didn't even ask her to come early, Lilies just showed up and threw herself in this event like it was her own! Thank you Lies, i love you with all my heart! (Btw, they featured us in an article about this event, check it out here!)

And in case you're wondering why the tones of the photos can be different from each other, it's because my girls kindly shared photos that they snapped of the event so we can all use them. As one of the PICs of the event, i hardly had time to snap pics because i was super busy handling things! So credit to all SBB members who attended!

One of the cause of stress for me, i almost forgot to order these placates for our main sponsors! And when they were done, there were a LOT of spelling mistakes and words missing so they had to redo it, even the final product made me a little unhappy but at least they're still super cute!

Btw, i also ordered round tulle hair clips (made by my friend Silv) for us all to wear! I want the party to be very girly and kawaii because it is a beauty community, rite!

For the decor, i wanted it to be cute, girly and simple because the venue is already so gorgeous by itself.

I wanted to mainly play with balloons and tulles, but we didn't know that the venue was going to be a semi outdoor one (because we planned for the previous venue and there's simply no time to change our plan) with super strong winds so... A lot of the balloons that were supposed to be scattered on the floor were blown away *LOLOLOL*

I dubbed Claresta (this girl has a real talent, i totally plan to make her MC in our next events hahaha) and Gita the MCs of the day (i kinda forced them to hahaha, thank you for agreeing to this :))) and in turn, they forced me to make a speech FML.

It's Lilies from WomanBlitz. Most of you might already know that she is the one who encouraged me to take the plunge and really made SBB official, she even let us share her limelight and launch our website at Womanblitz's relaunch event last year

Then because we had quite a few new members (we also invited some SBB friends who are influencers who always help us out, sponsors and also giveaway winners who are our followers) who might not be very familiar with SBB comittee, i dragged them up too haha

Foods were also started to be served... There were quite a number of different menus available but i didn't keep track coz i always find it hard to swallow during my own events... Anyone else like that?

Second session was a short presentation by Clariskin to introduce their new service, Face Reading

With face reading, you can actually upload your photos and ask for an online consultation with Clariskin's doctors on suggestions to improve your facial features. Our close up pics were taken and once the result is out, we'll let you know!

The last session was F2F's, first up was a fun game where participants had to apply lipstick and lipliner using their opposite hand and Insta Story at the same time!

They also gave introductions on their newest products (which they kindly gifted to us all in the goodie bag), eye shadow booster and perfect creamy eyebrow!

That last session marked the end of the event! But that doesn't mean we all went home immediately... No no, we mingle, munch some more, snap pics, laughed, and made memories ^^

We didn't actually plan to wear the same top, but hot pink is not really our color and we happen to have the same (discounted) Zara cropped too and we all planned to wear it so... This happens :)). Cyn annoyingly pointed out that we looked like a dangdut trio, it keeps on repeating on my head ever since WTF

My OOTD for the day... I had to rush home and changed my top, heels and bag because i had to attend hunny's relative's wedding (out of town!!!) afterwards

Review : Heart of the Ocean Facial Experience with Thalgo Indonesia (SPONSORED)

Hello everybody!

I've been crazy busy the past few weeks that i only got the chance to sit down and share this Heart of the Ocean Facial Experience now. So on August 24th, i was one of the lucky ladies who were invited to an exclusive experience to try out Thalgo Indonesia's signature facial.

This is me with my sleepy face after the ultra relaxing Heart of the Ocean Facial, completely makeup free so please excuse the paleness :))

Have you ever heard about Thalgo before? I was not very familiar with the brand yet so i was very glad for this experience, not only i get to try out their wonderful facial (which i LOVE), i also got to learn about them more.

So Thalgo is actually been around for quite sometime, it was founded in 1964 by pharmacist, André Bouclet. What started as an algae-based products for the medical field, the company has grown and expand expotentially to become the leading Marine Cosmetology brand that is now a world leader in Marine Spa. They both supplies products for spas that can only be used and performed by professionals and also over the counter premium products. In Indonesia, their sole distributor is PT Auraluxe Indonesia.

In Surabaya, Thalgo counter can be found in Sogo Pakuwon Mall and there are also a few spas in Surabaya that uses Thalgo's products in their treatments.

Before we started the treatment, a spokesperson from Thalgo give me an introduction to Thalgo and their products. Thalgo believes that the ocean is the source of beauty and health without worry. All of their products are free parabens, mineral oil, GMO and Propylene Glycol, without animal testing and since all the ingredients are derived from the sea, they are totally HALAL

This is one of their super special products, a rubber mask (only available to be used by professional therapists) that i got to use later

After the explanation and introduction, we started the treatment.

Prepping for the treatment

The first product used was Thalgo Reviving Marine Mist, it's smells heavenly and the fine mist sprays evenly and effectively-instantly relaxes me and made me feel better haha. Thalgo Reviving Marine Mist is nourised with marine minerals to fights the effects of modern life like stress and pollution more effectively. It helps complexion to be fresh and radiant, as well as increases the effectiveness of skincare creams that follows. The active ingredients are Sève Bleue from the Oceans and Complex of 27 multi-revitalizing nutrients (8 minerals and trace elements, 18 amino acids and gluconate).

The second step is the usage of Thalgo Express Makeup Remover, also containing

Sève Bleue from the Oceans (to hydrate skin and delivers immediate comfort). It thoroughly removes all make-up, even waterproof, from the eyes and lips in a single step, it's scent free and surfactant free. It also contains Provitamin B5 that repairs, strengthens and coats lashes to encourage their growth.

Third step is using Pure Velvet Cleansing Cream, which is suitable for anyone looking for comforting cleansing care tailored to their mature skin. After usage, skin would be freed from all impurities and becomes supple, fresh, soft and ready to receive a specific skin care product. It has an ultra-rich and creamy texture with a powdery floral scent of rose/peony heart note, lotus/ylang-ylang top note. pH 5.8. The active ingredients in this products are Gelidium Sequipedale Extract (hydrates; leaves the skin supple; softens and tones; revitalizes) and mango (regenerates; anti-free radical).

Makeup free by this stage!

Next step is Thalgo Melt-In Scrub with Marine Crystals. It is a triple action facial exfoliator. Provides enzymatic peel , mechanical exfoliation & in-depth-cleaning Rich in hypoallergenic papaya extract ,salt crystals & almond shell powder. It helps remove dead cells & refine skin texture Contains biopolymer of plant origin to dissolve lipids that clog pores. Active Ingredients are : Stabilised papaya extract hypoallergenic, Diatomaceous earth almond shell powder, Marine Cristals biodegradable, Exfoliating particles and lactic acid polymer, Vegepol.

Followed by Hydra Marine Serum which is the first universal radiance serum by THALGO that targets the loss of luminosity at its source. This incredibly fresh, melt-in gel helps reactivate the skin's natural detoxification process to deliver pure radiance and the original luminosity of the complexion. Active ingredients in it are : Hydra-diffusine (exopolysaccharide) that stimulates the aquaporins to facilitate the diffusion of dermal water to the layers of the epidermis, Hyalurophyline (plant oligosaccharides extracts) that creates water reserves thanks to the synthesis of epidermal hyaluronic acid, a true natural sponge, Sève Bleue from the ocean that drenches the epidermis in mineral-replenishing vital water, restores the barrier function of the epidermis, Lumisource (extract of Candida Saitoana) that boosts the natural detoxification process of the cells and Thermus thermophillus – stops the reaction cascade of oxidation of cell proteins

You know i am not much of a massage person, but i have a new found apprieciation for head, neck and back massages-and the massage in the Heart of the Ocean Facial was da BOMB. I was so relaxed i almost fell asleep (this is very rare, only the best treatments can make me feel this way). Not only that, but my insomnia was gone after this and i can fall asleep very easily!

For the massage part, they used Thalgo Oligo-Marine Massage Cream. It's a A marine-based massage facial cream Features an ultra-soft, comfortable texture Formulated with sea water to re-mineralize & hydrate skin Contains macadamia nut oil & raspberry seed oil to condition skin Unveils a softer, smoother, relaxed & revitalized complexion. Active Ingredients includes Seve blue des Oceans, Macadamia nut oil and Raspberry seed oil

Then it's time for mask!

The mask used is the Ultra Hydra Marine Mask. It has an instant replumping effect, smoothes and rehydrates in just 5 minutes. Containing 2 Hyaluronic Acids and Sève Bleue des Océans to offer your skin immediate hydration and an incredible plumping result. Active ingredients are Acide Hyaluronique that contains molecules able to immediately hold water reserves and high molecular Hyaluronic Acid that acts on the surface for an instant plumping effect.

After the mask was taken off, they applied Thalgo Collagen Eye Roll On that reduces puffiness and dark circles. Concentrated in Marine Collagen, it smooths fine lines and wrinkles, and instantly awakens and brightens the eyes. This concentrate combines the performance of a "cool effect" triple ball roll-on with a continuous 24-hour caffeine action Micropatch® technology. It is a fresh gel with a fresh, powdery floral scent that relaxes the eyes. Active Ingredients: Native Marine Collagen, Caffeine Micropatch and Actiflow®.

The last step is the application of Hydra Marine 24H Cream, yhe first beautifying moisturiser that so perfectly combines effectiveness and sensoriality that 100% of women were won over! Essential to provide your skin with 24 hour hydration** while infusing it with new, perfect radiance. Its luxurious and rich texture gives the skin a velvety feel, with a light fragrance of tea and white flowers.

And that's a wrap!

I thorougly enjoyed the luxurious treatment, my skin has been giving me so much troubles lately (mostly due to stress, i think) and this facial totally makes my skin look and feel so much better! I feel deeply moisturized and super relaxed afterwards ^^.
