Pink and Undecided: birthday luncheon

G's Bday Lunchie

Yes, I'm writing again. LOL.

Hi y'all, #Undecided here. Preggers and all hihihi... No, I'm still very lazy, but #Pink did point out how backdated this post is (G's bday was in April - end of Apr, but still), she was concerned if we were gonna write it AFTER Blob is born, so here I am hahaha...

And #Pink's here! Yes, i'm really worried! We haven't even blogged about #Undecided's bday! Soon it's gonna be MY bday, and then Blob's! LOL!

Anyway, we had another low key birthday celebration at Libreria, yep, G was adamant to try the place because she had missed A's birthday lunchie, so there we were at the same venue, 2 lunches in a row hehehe...

It was my third time there. And i still plan to review this place properly, just dunno when! LOL. It's actually pretty nice but after three visits in a row in short period of time... Let's just say that i wouldn't want to go there for a while.... LOL.

Errr... Luca, camera's the other way hahahaha

Surprisingly hubby and I arrived second after the birthday gal. That had never happened before... Not long after #Pink's team arrived and these three directly bonded after...

games and gadgets... obviously -_____-

While I was being a dutiful aunt and helped this boy with his homework. Okay not really, the homework was for his Mandarin studies which I'm rubbish at hahahaha...

Yeah well, i told #Undecided to act like she was actually helping him, but i guess she found the mere idea it to be hilarious and she couldn't keep a straight face. She kept on bursting into laughter whenever i pointed my camera at her -___-.

Btw, since my Baby Boy's turned 8 already, i wanted to change his nickname in this blog into something less baby-ish, but i don't feel comfortable using his real name all the time (i dunno why, i guess just because i prefer monikers and i read too much horror stories about paedophillia and stuffs) so imma call him Little O from now on haha (yes, the nickname will keep on evolving as he grows!).

Anyway, as Little O struggles... The mummy and aunties cam-whored :p :

Little O, camera's that way!!!

#Pink and the Bday girl (well.... 4 months ago *LOLOLOLOL WTF*). The reason for this OOTD photo is because G actually wanted the dress code to be "ankle boots". But seriously, how many of us owns an ankle boots??? I obviously do, but nobody else does :p

Photo time while waiting for A and Av. I actually found out for sure that I am preggers that very day (after the 3rd positive test pack - even I am not that delusional hehehe), but decided to not steal G's thunder by announcing and making the day about me. Am I a good friend or what?! LOL.

BFF selfie ^^

My menu that day, American Breakfast...

Nom nom nom. I actually threw away that blue contact lenses already. Expires. Like this post is. LOLOLOLOL

I don't really know what's wrong with us (i mentioned this before, with each bdays-we grow older. BUT. We only seem to go crazier. And rowdier. It's probably because as we age, we no longer care about what people say or think about us, hence... The crazy acts. Sigh), but we tend to focus on something on each outing. And guess the star of that day? #Undecided's hubby's vapor cig :

Trust me, we (the ladies) DO NOT smoke. But this vapor thingy has various interesting flavors, fruity ones. It's practically like sisha. LOL look at hunny's face
Av is practically a pro :D and so is #Pink actually... I remember the first time we tried sisha (a long ago when I was skinny), hubby smokes so sisha was nothing for him, but guess who else didn't cough from their first try! Yeah, #Pink!!!! Even her hunny coughed with me hahahaha...

Eh. This is so wrong. And R(A). Anyone under 21 please cover your eyes, i swear G is just pretending to smoke the vapor. Our feelings? #Undecided's face tells it all.

After we're done eating and moving on to dessert, A finally decided to show up *LOL*. We were very worried because while we were eating away, she still sends us hearts at Disney Tsum Tsum. Which means she was most probably still at home *LOLOLOL*.

The perks of having a baby: get to show up terribly late but the moment we all see the baby, all is forgiven hahahaha... I'm so gonna use Blob as the sole excuse of my tardiness!!

After filling our tummies, it was time for some photo sesh!

Our boys

Da ladies! Eh, Av's wearing high top sneakers. Close enough i guess, at least closer than #Undecided's slippers! LOL
Hey, I wasn't informed that the dress-code was ankle boots, I would have hunted for a pair!! #lies

I swear this boy gets cuter every single time I see him!!!

I should buy hubby a pair of fake glasses so these three can go matchy-matchy...

Seriously Little O, put down the iPad, you don't want to turn into Uncle V hahahaha...

2 ladies whose eyebrows I hate wholeheartedly #jealous

Av and I were in line to use the bathroom, saw G posing, had to photobomb.

Bday Gal (well, 4 months ago hahahaha)

I swear Av wore pants underneath her shirt! LOL.

Ending the post abruptly because I don't know what else to write. Oh btw, 20 weeks preggers now, my tummy is so big and heavy and extremely hard to the touch (yes, still hard, I just poked it)... Shall take a pic of it when I'm not too lazy.

Must go bug #Undecided to start blogging about HER bday now, it's my bday already next month! (i mean October, it's almost September okay!)

Tha,

#Pink and #Undecided

A's Bday Lunchie

bff

Yellooo!!!! #Undecided here... Yes, this blog STILL has 2 writers, this one just happens to be very lazy, and will come up with just about every excuse in the books to dodge writing. My latest one: nausea. Yes, I'm preggers LOL. And obviously I'm going to milk it for my benefit (i.e.: making hubby do stuff that he wouldn't normally do and guilt-tripping #Pink for nagging me just about everything), but this entry is not about me, so I'll just get on with it.

One of our bffs A turned 32 *gasp!!* in March. Geesh, it's almost end of May and we're only writing this entry now hahahaha... Can't even use blob (btw, I'm calling my fetus "blob" because it literally looks like one on that very first ultrasound session I got) as an excuse for this hahaha...

As a bunch of hmm... mature people, we hang out more and more during (as much to #Pink's dismay since she's our resident owl) daytime now, and this birthday party was no exception. She held it in Liberia. A very small and understated joint (esp. from the front), but was proven to be quite cozy. I give this place 8 out of 10 for attention to details.

LOL, hi! #Pink here! I didn't expect #Undecided to just drop the pregger bomb on you liddat, we've been keeping it on the low down for a while-i guess she's a bit less dramatic than me (you know me, i'd like... Make a special post about it or something).

bb, you can't seriously expect me to write a post about my pregnancy, yeah? Haven't you been reading? Nausea!! LOL.

But i'm glad the cat is out of the bag so i don't have to pick my words in fear of spilling the beans unintentionally! Lemme tell you something, pregnancy makes her scarier (and meaner. And lazier. The list goes on) but it's okay, pregnancy hormones is no joke you guys!

Anyway! Yes, it's A's bday post, why are we going on about something else hahaha (HEY, now that i think about it, why are A's bdays become the announcement times for us? Check this post from 2013 when we announced A's pregnancy! LOL). Like #Undecided mentioned, it was a lunchie (i could hardly open my eyes OMG, but sorry guys i think my bdays would stay dinners. At least i don't complain when yours are luncheons right??? I simply can't >.<) at Libreria, and i feel weird writing this because i plan to review the place (but dunno when, coz too much to write and i have long list of restaurants and cafes to review before Libreria's turn!), i went there a week before this but it's going to be posted later so it's like going backwards! Can you believe that we also celebrated G's bday here later??? Speaking of G, she couldn't come that day because her boss made her work. On Sunday. FHL.

For once i was among the first to arrive with the bday girl and her family-#Undecided arrived soon after. A already booked a table but they gave reserved us this horrible table on the second floor-it's definitely not big enough and the table's so low it's going to be uncomfortable for dining (you know, the low table with sofa kind which would be ideal for hanging out and sipping coffee/tea) so we had to wait around a bit more until we got a big enough table on the first floor.

#wefie first

Baby Boy amusing himself with a Mr. Potato Head toy provided in Libreria

A and Baby Luca who grows cuter everyday!

Av and Yuli came A LOT LATER. And to say that they were a tad overdress is the understatement of the day. You'll see why - scroll away.
I asked Yuli to hold Marshmallow to snap the group pic, of course whenever my camera (or Ipad) is in someone's hand... It'd immediately be hijacked

Yuli was the designated selfie-stick of the day. And that guy can't pose normally to save his life (from Av that is!!!)
But in this particular pic i think he's showing his teeth because we kept on yelling at him to loh BB!!! LOL. Marshmallow's smile recognition feat is a bit weird, and it's hard to detect pearly whites at a distance i guess so Yuli did this hahahahaha FHL

See!! Everyone else looked normal but him. SMH.
Now this one, definitely

Liberia - just like more and more new restos now - takes your orders on a counter. They don't have waiter/waitress waiting *LOL - I amuse myself sometimes* on your table. And since the place is quite small, the line could be a bitch (people standing up - cramping the space - gazing up at unfamiliar menus) at times. But finally, this is what we ordered:

Egg-ben for moi. IMHO the hollandaise sauce was too sweet for my liking and the yolk wasn't runny - not my fave. I also had their salad (which #Pink didn't snap a photo of), but I can't remember if they call it cesar salad or whatever salad, but again, the dressing was too sweet and overwhelming, I couldn't even finish the small bowl of it.

Someone's burger. I don't remember who! Just borrowing it for picture taking!

Errr errrr... (yes, now i see why i can never be a food blogger)

My steak. I expected it to be worse *LOL* because non-steakhouses' steaks in Surabaya usually are... super bad. This one's not super yummy or whatever, but it's okay. The steak itself is a bit hard, but edible. The sauce's nice, the fries yummy and i love the veggies!

The pizza though... STAY AWAY from it! LOL. It's quite... Well.. It's not good (okay, it's BADDD). Very thick, doughy and it's definitely more appropriate to be called pizza bread than a real pizza. It'd be okay if it's bready but nice, but it's not *shudder*

This chocolate pie was yummy - best dish of the day for me.
Yup, it was yummy. Hunny demanded a chocolate pie because the one he got from Food Kartel was dropped by my idiotic nephew (i repeat. And no, i am not mean-he's not 7 or whatever, he's pushing 20) the day before and he's been sulking nonstop LOLOLOL

One thing about us is, the older we got... The crazier our convos become! I dunno why, but we just keep on getting weirder i guess... You can bet non-stop laughter from our table whenever we're together *sigh*. Imagine how it'd be like on our 42nd bday...

The girls' OOTD (dress code was casual). I admit i'm probably not THAT casual (i mean... I don't do tee and jeans like #Undecided or tee and shorts like A!) but it's still plenty casual compared to Av with her pencil skirt, structured cropped top and heels!!! You tell me, which part of her outfit is casual, huh?

Bday Mum (bitch got her slim figure back and looking as fab as ever) and her lil family.

Luca, where are your shoes?! LOL.

There you go, peeps... Another one of our laid back, low key, birthday celebrations. It's definitely not where we celebrate, or what we eat, but the people we're celebrating with that matter the most. Happy 32nd birthday again, A!! Stay fab!

WE LOVVEEEE YA A!

Kisses,

#Pink and #Undecided

There's nothing casual about Yuli's shirt and jeans as well, yeah?!
Probably Av's doing. That's his future, forever eating oatmeals and wearing formal clothes LOLOLOL

LL Birthday Party : Moschino Barbie

barbie

Hai haiii ^^

After a few days of delays, finally imma blog about my gorgeous friend's birthday party, LL's... should i reveal her age here? I don't think she minds lah, it's her 35th bday but trust me, she looks not a day over 20-or even 15 when she's dressing down and sans makeup hahaha. It was a super fun and fabulous thematic luncheon with some of her other gorgeous friends!

A few weeks prior, LL sent me the invite to her birthday party :

Told ya Bday parties got professional invites now, ohhh i suddenly feel pressured *LOL*

As you can see from the invites, it was actually a joint birthday party of LL (yes yes her real name's Lely) and her friend, Vonny. I didn't know Vonny (never met her before) and most of her other friends (i think met one of her friends before, just one out of the whole group!) before, so as someone who's naturally shy around new people, i was really anxious about coming. But it's LL's party, of course i must attend lah!

Thankfully despite my initial worries, all of her friends are actually very nice and friendly, i felt almost completely at ease at the end of the party-and that's quite something because usually it'd take me a lot more than one meeting for me to warm up to people (well except the ones with strong similar interests like my blogging friends, i seems to bond with them quite quickly hahaha). Btw, LL's bday's actually last December but i guess most people went somewhere for holiday so the celebration's only been held on January ^^.

Aaaaanyway, rambling on as usual, let's get back to the story! As soon as i arrived, LL dragged me to snap some pictures of us hahaha. Btw, some of the pictures in this blog post were taken by and with LL and her friends' camera, thank you ladies for sharing! I hope nobody minded me using the photos here ^^.

One of her friends (i believe her name's Lenny ^^) brought a huge, professional camera with gigantic lens-it's worth the hassle because the result of the picture's absolutely gorge! (okay, i tend to use some words repeatedly in blog posts and i believe that word for today is gorgeos hahaha)

So clear and sharp but still made our skin look flawless!

Making the one taken with Marshmallow a bit sad in comparison hahahaha

I spotted the *yes, it's that word again, but i honestly cannot think of any other word more fitting!* gorgeously decorated table right away, which you'd see in a bit (or you might already have if you follow my Instagram) but that's not all, because they also set up a side display with real Barbies!

Birthday girl slash real life (Asian) Moschino Barbie and real plastic Barbies hehehe

Okay, it took me more than a sheer conscious will to not grab one and start playing with it :p

And i resorted on posing with them instead. Ohhh, accidental photo bomb there!

My hunny (who dropped me off and left after congratulating LL, he totally refused to stay after taking a look of the super girly table full of all-dolled-up ladies hehehe) probably looked quite surprised because LL kept on saying to him that this her last chance to be a Barbie doll because we're approaching 40 (since when 35 is close to 40? Isn't it still halfway there, LL?) LOLOLOL. I gotta be honest here and i really was this close to say "But i just turned 31 three months ago! Stop scaring me LL!" hahahahaha.

The table decoration's really pretty so i definitely need to show them off here! Since i arrived errr... a bit late (my house's on the other opposite end of the town! And i was not the last to come thankfully, there were three or four more who arrived later than me *relieved* :D) and the table's totally occupied, i am borrowing the pictures that LL and her friends shared (again). I cannot take credit on all of the better photography in this blog post okay, the one that's quite crappy-those were the ones i took WTF.

Clearly i took this one hehehe

Very meticulous decor done by the birthday girls. Btw, LL does have her own party decor and design company called Classy Creation which i've blogged about here

That tierred tray full of roses <3 !!!

In keeping with the floral decors, they even had a rose cake!

Everybody won't let them cut the cake on the venue because the lucheon set already included dessert and we already had a hard time finishing them hahaha

Vonny shared the picture of the of sliced cake-anyone knows if the petals are really edible? I know there are edible flowers, but still. The idea of eating flowers... Is strange. To me. Oh, the cake's rose flavored @___@

More Barbie dolls on the table!

Everything is so detailed and cute, up to the very nitty gritty!

Personalized set up! Even the waiter address you by name when taking your orders hehe

Sweets for sweeties :D

You wouldn't expect anything less from me, right? My dolly makeup was done by O-which i blogged about here

We got to choose our appetizer, main course and desserts. I didn't even have to think about my beverage, i needed coffee! Plenty of it! LOL

Even the cutlery didn't get excluded from being decorated

Here are my yummy choices for lunch :

Creamy Chicken Mushroom which is very yummy but filling (and it turned pink when in contact with my lipstick *LOL*)

So filling that i couldn't even touch my Atlantic Salmon! I asked hunny to come back and eat it for me, but he was too embarrassed (i dunno why, it really annoyed me on end) so when i saw one of the girls da-bao'ed her main course, i quickly did the same *LOLOLOL*. Come on people, i know it's extremely Chinese and all, but why waste food? And that's why there are a lot of rich Chinese people :p we waste nothing. Hunny (who agreed to eat it once out of the place hahaha) said that the cream sauce's totally divine even though the salmon got a little bit bitter taste

My very instagram worthy Bee Bee Pudding (which i stupidly forgot to post in IG LOLOLOL), but pretty foods... Well... they usually don't taste as good as they look. This one included. The yellow pudding i think was mango and quite okay, but the purple tier was dragon fruit and while i love dragon fruit, it was WEIRD. I hate wasting food but i really couldn't take more than two mouthful of the dragon fruit part, it was just too weird!!!

#Undecided and i blogged about Le Ciel Bleu once and we didn't like the food, however the owner (or management) read our review and told us that they had major menu makeover. We didn't get to try them again (because it's too faraway from our house and we're lazy pigs *LOL*, but we'll attend free food tasting for a review *LOLOLOLOL* *shameless blogger*) until this lunch and i must say, they were not just bragging when they said total makeover.

The food i tasted in this luncheon were 10x better than last time! I would actually recommend them now! And maybe steal the idea (place) as usual to hold my own bday later :P (hey, we have very limited choices in Surabaya >.<). I've always loved the decor and ambience. Service wise, they could use with a little more training though. The waiter kept on forgetting to give us spoons for the soup and the pudding *sigh*, i had to ask multiple times for them to get some for us *SMH*. And the place wasn't even full, there were another party (as in a group of people, not party party. And they kept on staring at use in awe...) in another table and that was it when we started our lunch so it shouldn't be because they were too busy right.

Anyway, we totally abused one of the waiter and he took around 15678 pictures of us LOLOLOLOL.

Okay this is quite a confusing shot, we were supposed to not look at the camera and pretend to look at the Moschino phone cover, but some of us obliged while the rest kept on happily looking at the cam hahahaha... I did not have Moschino phone cover because i am still using my crappy Blackberry (i really am not a gadget girl.. I'd rather buy a designer bag rather than changing my phone...) and manufacturers had stopped producing cute cases for Blackberry so i.. looked into my neighbor's (Amel ^^, i most probably should call her cece >.<) :p

One more

For once there were other people more narcissistic than me *LOLOL* or probably because i was new to the group and too embarrassed to barge in (they were very sweet and kept on calling me to join in the pictures though ^^), but it soon turned into a serious photo-taking session!

In this pic alone you can see two different groups taking pictures hehehe

After every photogenic spots were covered in the first floor... We moved to the second >.<! Hahahaha... I meant what i said about LL's friends being very welcoming and nice, they even put on their own bag on me when we snapped the next two pictures below because LL was wearing the exact same bag!

So if i were about to write outfit details, it'd be... Bag : borrowed. Hehehehe. I think it was Vonny's?

Then LL went and borrow someone's phone casing for me as well LOLOLOL. Mirror mirror on my Moschino phone case...

Selfie with the bday girl

This was her idea!!! LOLOLOL, whatta cheeky pic, but it's quite cute!

Bday girls ^^

We even snapped some outdoor hehe.

Exterior of Le Ciel Bleu is really dreamy! You can check out my detailed outfit post here

Hunny and i were planning to go to Church next (although i was very anxious about going to the Church with dolly makeup on-i'm sure people already think i am weird on daily basis they do not need extra reasons but i am crazy enough to do it, really)-which never happened because quarter way there the sky opened up and it was raining cats and dogs, complete with flood and traffic jam -____-. This is actually not an excuse, but we'd arrive at the Church as the sermon ends with that kind of pace! Anyway, before we scrambled away (or in my case, limping and hopping away because my heels started to hurt by now *LOL*, it's a shoes for taking pictures and looking good in-not for actual walking, let alone shopping okay!), we took another pic in the patio.
