Hotel Review : Ibis Surabaya City Centre Hotel (SPONSORED)

Hey hey guys!
Eid al-Fitr 2019 is nearing, meaning holiday season is looming in. In case any of you plan to spend the holiday in Surabaya (or those of you in Surabaya planning to have staycation), i have a hotel recommendation to be put into consideration : Ibis Surabaya City Centre Hotel!
Ibis Surabaya City Centre Hotel is actually a business hotel located in the heart of Surabaya and is part of the Accor hotels group. It is a cozy, comfortable hotel with reasonable price point and awesome location. Although it is mainly for business purposes, it actually can also be a good choice for families and other types of groups with leisure purposes.
I had the pleasure of staying at their place (thank you Angel for the invitation) earlier this month and i am going to share my (very pleasant) experience with them today ^^.

There is a 24 hours mini market next to it and Tunjungan Plaza is super close by (it is walking distance but i guess catching a Grab is better as it's gonna cost you close to nothing :)) |

| We really enjoyed our staycation that we didn't even want to leave our hotel room :)). Seriously, we were so contend chilling and relaxing in this uber cozy room! It's sparkly clean too! |

| I have stayed in many hotels before and while most hotels have cupboards or areas to hang your clothes, this open closet is pretty unique and super convenient with the many drawers and hangers. You can see that they also provide safe deposit box so you can store your important belongings safely. |

| A very lovely surprises : bolsters!!! As a true blue Indonesian, i LOVE my bolster! It's the one thing that i always ALWAYS miss whenever i go out of town/country and stay in hotels so imagine my delight when i realized they actually provide bolsters here! Cozy room, comfortable bed and bolsters, no wonder we had such a good night's sleep here! |
I am pretty fussy when it comes to cleanliness of my hotel rooms, one of the thing that i check first whenever i stay in a hotel is the bathroom. If it pass my strict judgement, i know i am going to have a good stay - and their bathroom is totally #Pink approved! I love the unique cabin-like bathroom, it reminds me so much of the bathroom of the cruise ship we board on before!

Ibis Surabaya City Centre Hotel's room is so comfortable and welcoming, we felt right at home! I don't always find it easy to get used to hotel rooms and i might have hard times falling asleep - no such problem here! I actually fell asleep pretty early (for me) and despite having a good amount of sleep, i still didn't want to leave the bed when the alarm woke us up - a true testament of how welcoming the room is and how it has such a comforting vibe!
Here they also have a very spacious restaurant area that serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. As a business hotel, Ibis Surabaya City Centre Hotel wants to make sure that even if their guests don't have time during their busy schedule to eat out, they can just pop by the restaurant and have a good meal here.

For breakfast, they serve a buffet spread with quite an extensive choices. FYI, they actually serve (very) early breakfast starting from 4 AM to cater the needs of guests who has early flight or other schedules. Not all of the selections would be available at 4 AM but there would be some food for them to grab before they go so they won't have to leave with an empty stomach. This is very special because i don't know many hotels (that are not located in the airport area) with this kind of facility. They also let their guests enjoy their breakfast longer as they don't close up their breakfast time as fast as most hotels do.

And we also had a very lovely dinner here. There are quite a vast varities of food that you can choose from, Indonesian to Oriental to Western. We had a hard time choosing between Western food and Indonesian food but in the end our Indonesian-ness won :)).

| I went for bebek kremes with white rice, it was YUMMY! Honestly i didn't have too much expectations because usually when we have Indonesian food at hotels, they usually doesn't taste very authentic (you know, not the taste you want if you are used to GOOD Indonesian food) but boy they know what they are doing here! |
Btw, they have more unique culinary facilities at the evening which is the Angkringan Corner!

Btw, i love hotels that lets you do late check out (i tend to panic when the time to check out is nearing and i haven't finish packing *LOL*, i always opt for late check out if the hotel lets me and if i don't have to be somewhere else urgently) and guess what, in Ibis Surabaya City Centre Hotel they allow up to 5 PM late check out (if the condition is possible ya, it'd be pretty hard to do during high season though) just make sure you double check with the receptionist.
So if you are looking for a comfortable, clean, decently spacious hotel room in Surabaya centre with reasonable room rate and strategic location (be it for business or leisure purposes), you can consider Ibis Surabaya City Centre as your selection!
