Hey guys :D...

It's been a while since my last ghost stories post, and nope i am not giving the series up because people told me my stories aren't scary *LOL* (that's not why i write these stories anyway, i have no intentions to scare people silly :p. I just want to share them because i really enjoy reading real life supernatural occurrences myself), i was just preoccupied by other things that i had to blog about so i kinda abandoned the series for a bit.

But it's back, bitches!

I think i don't have any other strange or supernatural experiences while i lived in Singapore, at least none that i can remember of at the moment-so i'm going to move up to the next time frame.

I moved back to Indonesia after finishing high school because my mum (who really disliked my then current boyfriend, a Singaporean whom she thought was... well.. Too ugly for me *muffled laughter*. I don't mean to be cruel, but i don't even know why she bothered. I never really liked that guy *i know i know, i sound like a total bitch right now... But hey, i'm just being honest!*, i was just waiting for the next guy to come around *LOL* #yesiwasthatkindofgirl) bribed me to.

I just had a traumatic experience with some so-called-friends (which i might tell you all about it in the future), so i felt like i needed to be with my real friends (#Undecided and my other BFFs, onvi) so i agreed (well, mostly for that blown up allowance that she promised me. Which she cut in half once i really returned FML), next thing i know i was enrolled in the Tourism Department (totally by accident. I didn't even know i was applying for that department because CL, who took care of the whole application thing while i was still in Singapore, didn't inform me! I thought i was going into the Hospitality Management *LOL*) in one of the most famous University in Surabaya.

I met hunny there, as well as MM and O, who i featured quite a few times in this blog-which means we're still friends til today. I tend to stick with a few close friends at any stage of my life and always able to maintain the friendship for more than a decade, which i prefer than having large circle of friends that last for a year or two. Who needs a lot of fake friends right?

Anyway, since we're in Tourism Department, we did travel quite a bit. Our studies included planning a tour, setting it up and the conducting it ourselves-and take turns to the the Tour Leader and Guide. Ahhh, i miss those days, so much fun ^^. The story i am about to tell you happened on our second full length KKN (roughly translated into Practical Studies) in which we went for a two-weeks long road trip from Surabaya (East Java) all the way to Jakarta (the capital city of Indonesia), stopping at different cities and visiting different tourist attractions along the way (i wish i had a blog back then. So many memories that would've been better preserved!).

It's like we were prepared for a creepy trip along the way because i creeped myself out on the earlier part of the trip already -___-. In Yogyakarta, we stayed in this guest house (we're allowed to choose our own roommates so of course MM, O, another girl we're close with *her nickname was Black Cat so let's call her BC hahaha* and i bunked up together) which was an old house turned into a guest house. Our room was in the front building, completely separated from the rest of the rooms in the main building *FOL*.

We were super tired (always were after a long day of touring) and fell asleep quite fast, until in the middle of the night i was awakened by a very loud "KRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR" noise. I was not imagining things or whatever, because the other girls woke up as well. It was really like a scene out of some scary movie, we were starring at each other in utter horror until...

"TOKEKKKK TOKEKKKKKK!!!!"

Oh WTF, it was a freaking huge assed gekko -___-. I never knew that gekkos make such a scary KRRRRRRRR noise before *___*.

I heard too many urban legend about gekko bites, and i hate reptiles in general so i was really really scared (for a very different reason, obvi) to go to the bathroom (where the gekko was) and had to hold my pee until morning came -___-. It was, needless to say, very torturous.

But this is not the point of the story, of course, i just had to add it because i thought it's hilarious (not exactly when it occurred, but looking back i can appreciate the incident for being story-telling worthy). Anyway. The real incident happened at the same trip, a little further down the road in Bandung (West Java).

It was very late when we arrived in Bandung (we always arrived pretty late because we always had a full day touring) and we were quite shocked when we checked in the hotel.

Since it was a school trip and we had very limited budget, we booked mostly very cheap hotels and guest houses-but nothing prepared us for THAT hotel in Bandung. While huge, it's very old, abandoned and creepy. Not to mention, clearly meant for sexual activities judging from the obvious patches on the sheets (EWWWW. During KKN i developed the habit of wearing jackets with hoods up, long pajama bottoms and socks to sleep so my skin wouldn't touch the sheet and i always bring my own blanket when i travel now-just in case).

I am not very sensitive supernaturally, as in i CANNOT see the unseen, but my sixth sense is a teeny tiny bit working because i *sadly* can sense when something's not quite right (this has been confirmed by people who can actually see them @__@), i was so scared of the hotel that i showered without closing the bathroom door. I don't really care, we've seen each other naked many times anyway, there's nothing to hide.

What i DIDN'T know was that MM is even more sensitive than me *FHL*.Since she's the oldest (MM transferred from another department in another uni, she's 3 years older than us), we gave her the single bed while the three of us huddled together in the queen bed (in case you're confused, traditional Asian people tend to give more privileges to people who are older than them, even if the difference's just a few years, to show our respect to them). O and i were not feeling very well so we took some medicine, and soon three of us (including BC) fell fast asleep.

MM was an even lighter sleeper than me, and her sensitivity made it even harder for her to sleep when there's "something" in the room with us (this repeated itself on our Grand Tour, a year or so later in Genting, Malaysia hahaha). While we were snoring away happily, MM can sense (she also cannot see per se, but can sense and tell the shape of the apparitions, while i can only feel like i am being watched but nothing more) someone else in the room with us, awake.

That someone else was a woman... With a long hair. The typical Asian female ghosts you've seen in movies.

Then she can sense the woman coming closer and closer, she closed her eyes very very tightly but can still sense her very vividly. The woman stopped in the gap between our beds and lean in, closer and closer until MM can feel her long hair touched her face.

Cannot find a picture of a female ghost leaning in so i have to settle for this even though MM was not experiencing sleep paralysis because she was never asleep in the first place and she COULD move, just opted not to hahaha

MM said the woman stood there for a very long time (dunno if really very long time or MM felt like it was very long since when something very scary happening it feels like forever although it's probably like a few seconds or minutes!), but i don't think she meant any harm. I mean... She probably was just curious? Coz she didn't do anything other than watching MM. Very closely. Maybe she was wondering why MM was the only one still awake and if she might be able to see her hehe *i watched too much Ghost Whisperer* or something.

Anyway, nothing else happened but MM pretty much stayed awake until the next morning. She probably was very thankful that we start our day super early everyday on our KKNs so at least the rest of us didn't like, sleep in hahaha. We freaked out when she told us the story, naturally!

Nothing significant happened afterwards, except the fact that we stayed in a very old hotel in Semarang (which is pretty famous for their haunted spots as well, with Lawang Sewu and all) that was a very old Colonial building and looked more like a funeral home than a hotel. WTF. I was beyond shocked when we stepped into the lobby -___-. The tile, the built, the decor, even the smell (very strong scent of tuberose)... Sigh. The crazy hotels we had to stay in during KKN...

Now that i wrote this down, i remember another supernatural occurrence that happened in our first KKN! Will be writing about it next!

#Pink Ghost Stories Part 3 : The Hungry Ghost Festival

How's your Saturday??? Mine was half bad (when my PMS flared up and i snapped at my hunny, or more like blew up hahahaha) but mostly good-ended up having an unexpected Saturday night date again because Baby Boy was throwing a tantrum and didn't want to go out hehe (little that he knows that his mummy's secretly glad to be able to watch a movie on a Saturday night like singles again after so long hahahaha), did some (minor) shopping and watched Jupiter Ascending afterwards (it's quite good, it's entertaining at least). Anyway, i just remembered that the last time i posted my Ghost Stories was also on a Saturday night?? Wogh, seems like a start of a new ritual >.<... Please enjoy!

I was planning to blog about something else, but somehow my Ghost Series' always beckoning to be continued hehehe. The second part got a great response as well so i am even more encouraged to continue sharing my creepy stories hehehehe.

In this third part, i'm not going to tell you just one incident like i did previously, but a few little ones (that's not even necessarily ghostly, but quite interesting nonetheless, if i may say so myself :P) that happened during the scariest time of the year if you happen to live in Singapore (or Malaysia and any other countries where the people celebrate this occasion/a similar one) :

Have you ever heard about this festival? I didn't really know such thing existed before i lived in Singapore. Indonesian Chinese do celebrate Cing Ming but that's actually an entirely different thing to Hungry Ghost Festival. Let me tell you a little bit about it (i gathered all of the information from the internet as well as prior knowledge from my folks/books-so i might make some mistakes, do correct me if you see any misinformation, okay!) first.

The seventh month of the lunar calendar is considered the Ghost Month, and the peak falls on the 15th day of that month. It is a Chinese tradition, and they (we?) believe that during Ghost month the gate of hell is open and all ghosts are free to roam the earth-mostly to satisfy their hunger because... well... They're hungry -___-. I don't know why they're hungry, some says that their descents do not bother to "feed" their ancestors (i think this is based on Buddhism) after a few generations has passed, others say that in purgatory sinners cannot accept "spirit food", hence the hunger. Then i just found another information from this post that the ghosts are hungry after two weeks of activies (roaming the earth, that is), so... Not sure which one's the official story hehe.

During the month, they would do stuffs to appease the hungry ghosts, like preparing festive meals for the ghosts :

Of course, the ghosts are not going to be able to physically EAT it, they eat through the aroma instead (watch The Eye for reference). That's why when the offerings are finally "safe" to eat (by living humans)-they usually become tasteless, because the ghosts have already sucked all of the tastes and nutrients from the food. I don't know if it's a fact because i never ate any (but then again if you expose food for hours like that then it'd naturally become less tasty, right???).

They would also organize entertainments, in the olden days it would be in the form of a Chinese opera, then came the getai performances, but with time modern touches are added and performances might include singers belting out popular songs. After all, people dies everyday-so ghosts come from every era including the present :p.

During the performances, you will find that the first row of the seats woud be left empty, and you're NOT supposed to seat there!

You do not want to accidentally sit on a ghost's lap, right? They might get angry! Or worse, taken a liking to you *grin* hehehe.

The atmosphere in Singapore during this Ghost month is definitely different! Maybe not in bustling Orchard Road or anywhere super crowded, but since i lived in East Coast, it's quieter and some lanes are really really deserted at night (now not as bad as it was 16 years ago, okay!). I was used to walk alone at night (i went out almost every day until night time during my stay in Singapore >.<, partly why my mum wouldn't let me continue further my studies there) and was never worried about anything. Singapore is one of the safest cities ever so i never thought about robberies/rapers, let alone ghosts hehe. I even dared to take shortcuts where i had to walk on a very narrow and pitch dark gutter hehehe. But that does not apply during Ghost Month!

It is generally a lot quieter during Ghost Month back then, probably people prefer to stay at home or at more crowded places instead of hanging out in deserted places right hehe, to add more creepiness-you can see incense burning pretty much everywhere on the street. I regret my addiction to True Singapore Ghost Stories books during these times because they gave me so much information that i cannot un-know hehehe.

One of the information is that if you see incenses burning, you should check if the smoke is rising naturally or not.

One night i was walking home alone as usual, parting ways with my friend who's living a block away from me, when i stumbled into an offering. I saw the incense and immediately spotted the smoke SPIRALING up. According to the superstition, that means there is a ghost right there, enjoying their meal. Needless to say, i ran as fast as i could back to my apartment and try to come home earlier during Ghost Months (sometimes forcing my friends to walk me home hehe) ever since!

But even going home earlier does not solve all problems. I like to ride MRT better than buses, but sadly the nearest MRT station to my condo was a few bus stop away zzz. So it doesn't matter, i still had to ride a bus anyway to reach home. On another day, i found myself in an almost empty bus *WTF*, normally at night the bus uncle would only stop if there's a passenger waiting on the bus stop or a passenger hit the bell to let him know that he/she wants to alight. Well, that night the bus uncle kept on stopping in EVERY stops, even though the bus stop was completely deserted and nobody's alighting the bus!

Later i learnt that bus drivers do this because sometimes there are ghosts who want to ride the bus, or already in the bus and want to alight (OMG, can't they fly? Or float? Or teleport???) and to respect them, bus drivers would always stop to make sure they won't offend any ghosts -___-. Isn't it mind blowing to realize that such a modern country still holds superstitions like that (i dunno in 2015 ya, this was in late 1990s)? I personally find it fascinating... and creepy. What if i was sitting beside a ghost? Or worse, sitting on one like the hypothetical live performance audience we spoke about earlier??? ZZZ.

Even when i already reached home, my problems are not all solved! Whenever i ride a bus, the closest bus stop to the entrance of my condo is nearby the back entrance. If i want to go from the main entrance, i would have to walk a WHOLE block, highly incovenient, right? (I walked so much in Singapore, no wonder i was able to drop 25kg within 3 months and became skinny for the first time in my life LOLOLOL, i do miss my skinny self but unwilling to starve myself to meet her again, fainting regularly was not fun)

It's so very strange, but during my three years stay in Singapore, every single 7th lunar month during the Ghost Month, somebody in my condo complex would die -____-.

How did i know? Well, in Indonesia when your relatives die, mostly we laid them to rest before the funeral/cremation in a funeral home. Moslems usually laid them in their houses, but it's inside the house and nobody outside their friends and family would be able to see anything unless they step inside. There are funeral homes in Singapore too, of course-but for some reasons (maybe funeral homes are very expensive in Singapore?) most of them prefer to hold their deceased relatives' wake in their flat/condos for days until the day of the cremation/funeral. The flats/condos have special spaces that can be used to do this, in the open... On the common ground for all of the other residents to see.

The location of this space in my condo is pretty much next to the back entrance, which i had to pass whenever i was back from my hang outs -___-. I am pretty easy to spook and i feel very uncomfortable going to funeral homes, so imagine how i felt whenever i had to pass the wake every night for almost a week every year? And how come there would only be a wake in my condo complex during Ghost Month? Talk about weird coincidences...

Not to mention having to pass the pool where scary rumors has started to circulate after someone was found drowned in it...

In short, there were a lot of weirdness (or just plain creepiness) i experienced every Hungry Ghost Festival in Singapore, and even though i didn't directly met a ghost or whatever *touch wood!!!*, i still find Ghost Month to be extremely goosebumps inducing. But still extremely interesting hehehe.

How's everybody's Saturday nitezzz??? I gotta be honest and tell you that the start of my Saturday wasn't good, everything that could go wrong, DID (all first world problems though, so minor they don't even deserve sharing *LOL*). I am also severely PMS-ing and extremely irritable, but i am in MUCHHH better mood right now woohooo *God, i feel so bipolar now zzzz*. Anyway, what's a better way to end your Saturday night but with a ghost story from yours truly, right? Well, i should've posted on Friday night for a better effect, i guess :p. But i digress...

I am very happy with how my first part of Ghost Series was accepted! And i just realized how much i love writing ghost stories, especially the true stories *LOL*. I now have a new obsession, i hope one day i can publish a ghost stories book like Russell Lee, MUAHAHAHAHAHAHA #easilyobsessed #fangirl. I know i always get too excited too fast, this is only the second story and i already hope to publish a book based on the series? Well, so typically me hahahaha. Hey, i always dream big, why not :p

Anywayyyy, i need more stories if i ever to publish those books! For now i still have some stocks, but in the future imma go around interviewing people asking for them to share their stories to me #shamelesslycopyingrussell :D. So my second story happened a LONG time after my first one (i don't remember any ghost stories in my childhood other than that one... Not that i remember anyway. They'll come back to me, don't worry *LOL*. Some already started streaming back to my brain as i type this >.<) when i was 15 years old and recently moved to Singapore.

Now, i did not live in Singapore by myself... I am spoilt rotten i know, and i will admit that i actually lived with a maid :p-but for some reasons living in Singapore for about three years made me a much more independent, confident person. My parents also constantly visited me for months on end, but like all rebellious teenagers, i prefer it when they were in Indonesia so i had more freedom :p.

But when this incident happened, my maid had not yet arrived in Singapore and my parents were out of the condo for the day. I was all alone, hadn't even starting school yet so i had no friend and was sulking in my (new) room, missing #Undecided badly (oh yes, we're friends already by then, of course) and feeling sorry for myself.

Our condo in Singapore is quite spacious with three bedrooms (four if you count the maid's room) and is actually well-lit and comfortable. My bedroom is located in the middle, with a bathroom on the left and another room on the right. If i walk outside my room, my view to the living room and master bedroom is concealed by the bathroom, it's pretty much L-shaped if you can imagine. I would have to take around four or five steps before i can see the living room, which is side by side with the door leading to the master bedroom (my parents'. But i ended up staying there when they're not in Singapore because they have TV there :p).

I did not have phone installed in my room yet because we just arrived a few days earlier (ohh, i'm remembering my beloved pink Hello Kitty phone that i absolutely abused for hours on end with friends and boyfriends back then :D. I would be on the phone 24/7, hey maybe that's why i really hate phones with passion now, i had more than a lifetime share during my teenage years!).

It was not even sunset yet, i think it was actually still quite early (around 3-4 PM) when the phone, which is placed in the office desk in the living room-next to the master bedroom's wall and door, started ringing. I raced outside my bedroom and reached for the phone. "Hello?"... The only answer that i got was the busy tone, tut...tut...tut... I didn't think it was anything strange, it's probably my mum calling to ask what i wanted for dinner and the bad reception made the call disconnected when i accepted it, no big deal.

I then glanced to the master bedroom and realized that the door was wide open and the light was on. I thought "Wogh, my mum's getting so forgetful, usually she would never forget to turn the light off (it's a must in our household, if you leave a room then the light should always be switched off unless you're planning to get back within half an hour) and close the door! So i very casually switch the light off and close the door. FYI, the door handle is the old-fashioned (because this story took place 16 years ago!) door knob that you have to turn to open, not something that can be opened easily by, say... strong breeze or something.

Then i calmly went back to my bedroom, feeling like everything's right in the world-in within a few minutes the phone rang off again.

Since i thought it was my mum calling, i rushed back to the living room and grabbed the phone "Hello?".. aandddd... It's the busy tone again zzzz. I was getting annoyed at this rate but still not suspecting anything. As i was about to go back to my room AGAIN, i saw the master bedroom's door wide open and the light was on.

I remember thinking to myself "WTF? Didn't i already closed the door and turned off the light?" but instead of getting worried, i berated myself for having a horrible memory at 15. I thought i must've imagining the whole turning off the light and closing the door deal-so i did just that, diligently turning the light off and closing the door firmly, making sure there's the satisfying "click" sound which ensure me that the door's securely closed.

I waited a few more minutes this time, expecting my mum to try to call again-but nothing happened. Got tired of waiting, i decided it was time go back to my bedroom.

Guess what happened as soon as i was inside my room?

LOL!

Of course the bloody phone started ringing again! This time i immediately (okay, it took me quite a while to come to this conclusion *LOL*) sensed that something's wrong so i didn't rush to the living room, instead i peeked from the L shaped wall to the living room and saw THE BLEEDIN' door wide open and the light was on!

I didn't need another cue, i ran inside my room, locked it (i've no idea why, i mean... If whatever toyed with me was a ghost, it certainly wouldn't need to open the door to get to me!) and hid under my blanket until my parents came home! I asked my mum later if she called me and she said she didn't so... God knows who DID call me! I am just thankful that it just gave me busy tones instead of saying something *LOLOLOLOL*.

I also lived in that condo for three years (and went to visit back a lot) without any further supernatural encounter, at least not INSIDE the condo-but that could be due to the fact that i was never alone again in that condo ever since. I probably even had my maid sleeping inside my room at night...

Anyway, i know the story is not that scary, but try experiencing the whole thing for yourself! LOL. I love true ghost stories most because it truly happened and the realization that it could happen to you is scarier than any hardcore horror fictions for me. That's why my kind of horror movies can be extremely opposite what the mass would like, because even slightly creepy "based on true story" kind of movie would set me off more than say... The Ring (although the original Ringu DID scare the shit out of me *LOL*).

That's my second ghost story! I have some more experiences while i was in Singapore that i will share next! I'm sure you know that even though Singapore is a very modern and metropolitan city, it is also very rich in culture, tradition and history-they also respect those qualities a lot and maintain them. The mixture of modernity and superstitious makes it super unique and i'm proud to call it my second home. Ghosts and all *LOL*.

#Pink's Ghost Stories (Part 1)

Hey guys!!!

So i flippantly mentioned that i would do a post with my supernatural experiences if anyone's interested in reading it, which i didn't expect anyone would even pay attention to-but well... Some of you actually asked me to tell the stories haha (i am happy whenever my readers are interacting with me :p). When i start collecting the stories (you know, mentally) in my mind, i realized... Hey, i have a few! That got me excited hahaha, and i decided to create yet another series for this blog : #Pink Ghost Stories!

The title's inspired by one of my favorite book series, which if you're not Singaporean or lived in Singapore before might never heard of before : Singapore True Ghost Stories. I collect them when i was still living in Singapore, even know i still hunt them whenever i am back in town, i have most of the books in the series although i lost (and missed) a few.

So before i tell you my first story, i need to tell you the back story first of course hahaha. I've always been fascinated with supernatural world, ghosts and all. I was a strange little kid who loves horror movies, horror books and i went to my first haunted house ride when i was less than 5-didn't bat an eyelash. While i'm a lot more scaredy now that i am older (strange what the world can do to you), i still love a good horror whatever! I am also easily fascinated by morbid topics and would spend hours, even days browsing about it if i got hooked on something, one of them being Victorian Post Mortem Photography. So yes, i do know a lot of scary stories-both real and fictitious and i believe in "the other world".

I'm gonna start this series with stuffs that i actually experienced myself, well not always myself-mostly by people around me with ME in the picture. I am not very sensitive, as in i cannot see ghosts, but i can sort of sense them... I guess? I would feel like i am being watched and extremely spooked, then people with gifts (to see them) actually would confirm my suspicions. But no, as much as i love to scare myself silly, i cannot and i DON'T want to be able to see ghosts *LOL*.

If you're a cynic or simply doesn't believe in such thing, i am just asking you not to leave an annoying comment *LOL*, well you can-it will get deleted anyway. I am not saying that ghosts exist or whatever, you can believe in whatever you want to believe, i am just asking you to respect me and what i believe in. This is my space afterall, okay? So if you think you cannot read supernatural-related stories without telling the writer he/she is stupid, i am asking you politely to leave now hahaha. I'm just writing this because i enjoy sharing (and hearing/reading) scary stories!

Okay, let's finally begin!

My first story was something my whole family experienced when i was little (because being OCD means i need to tell my stories in chronological order!)-this means that i can only remember fragments of the actual event because i was too young.

My family have always loved traveling and picnics. I have fond memories of long road trips (i think my mum always dislike flying, but when she was young it was still just a dislike, not utter fear and paranoia like what she has now) with our suitcases piling up and tied on top of our car, beaches, mountains, different hotels and meals packed in rantang. WTF is rantang? I have no idea if there's even an English name for it, but it's basically tierred meal containers-mainly made from tin and it looks like this :

Yes, there are modern rantang now, but i deliberately choose a very vintage looking one because i think this makes the point i am trying to make hahaha.

Anyway.

One of the places that is not too far from where we live (Surabaya) that we frequented was Songgoriti, in Malang. Now, as i have a pretty big family that consists of my parents and four kids (including me, later on we're often joined by my eldest brother and sister's girlfriend/boyfriend back then) so my parents often rent villas or family sized hotel rooms (you know, the one that looks like an apartment with multiple rooms inside). Now i am not so sure, but i think we stayed in a family sized room that particular day.

Of course this is not the actual hotel, just a picture i found in Google to illustrate my story!

The day started off quite normal, i guess and after a whole day of picnic, we all retired to our rooms. I slept with my parents (i actually slept in their room until i was quite big, which is not a good habit, actually) as usual and my siblings in another room.

Everybody was sleeping soundly when suddenly... There's a very loud... and weird sound. My mum described it like "a pig being sliced on the throat". Sort of half scream-half squeal, if you know what i mean. It was so loud that everybody actually woke up (me included, always been a very light sleeper)-so it was not a product of my mum's overactive imagination (she's very scaredy and paranoid, especially when it's related to ghost things. I am actually quite convinced that this behavior is propelled by a fact that she's quite sensitive to supernatural things. She can't see anything lah, but maybe like me-she can sense them) because EVERYBODY heard it.

All of my family members scrambled out of the room, pretty much panicking, what the hell's that sound? And yeah, it didn't stop. It continuously went on, but obviously nobody dared to get out and check. That's a dumb move people make on movies, i believe in real life most people would do what my family did.

We huddled together in the living room and waited until the morning came!

When it was finally morning (everything's less scary when the sun is shining, right? You think ghosts don't come out during daylight? According to most gifted people, you couldn't be more wrong! LOL), my family finally dared to ventured out and they stumbled into a hotel employee.

We asked what the noises were and if it came from the room next door? He answered that the room next door was empty and the noises actually came from the cliff directly behind our hotel. The employee then asked if we heard about the tragedy that happened just weeks ago-about a whole family being brutally murdered and whose bodies were thrown into a cliff in Songgoriti? Well. That cliff was the one exactly behind our hotel room. And every single night since that tragedy, people could hear the same noises that we heard that night.

Now, i don't know if this is the actual incident as the one they were talking about, but after doing my research on the net, i found a murder case that involved a family that seems to be the one : that is the murder or Lekol (Mar) Purwanto's family. Time frame seems to be correct as well because the murder happened at 13th August 1988, which means i was 5-very young but already have some memories that stays with me until today (my first memory was when i was 3).

As you know, my mum's super paranoid and all, this incident affects her til this day-she refuses wholeheartedly to stay in this villas/hotel in Songgoriti even though it's newly built, she's convinced it is located where the old hotel (that no longer exist) used to be.

And that's my first (true) story! Not too scary right?
