South Korea Trip 2017 : Random Post 1 (Busan)

Like i mentioned in my previous South Korea trip post, imma extend my series because i found so many random posts that needs to be shared (because the world needs to know what i eat and drink on a daily basis! *LOL* :p) in my phone's gallery roll :D!

I found the photos from the very beginning of the trip! As we were taking Cathay Pacific (ohhh Cathay Pacific.... So many not-so-good memories with this airlines and their staffs, did you know that i went on a Facebook war with some of their local employees because i was sharing about my bad experiences with the airline *LOL*, just goes to show the level of the professionalism really! FYI, i have nothing against Cathy Pacific as a brand ofc, i just had some traumatizing memories while taking their flights - but the experience is enhanced thanks to those keyboard warrior employees of theirs :)))... Seriously WTF) we had to transit at Hong Kong. My mum wanted to get out of the airport since we had a pretty long transit time, but in the end it turned out to be a mistake because we got a bit lost and wandered aimlessly at a mall *LOLOLOL*.

| A very cute exhibition in the mall, i was really embarrassed but the desire to take a pic was bigger than my embarrassment.. Sounds familiar? Nothing much to do, it was getting a bit late so we ended up going back to the airport *LOLOLOL*, what a waste of train money (the express train to and from the airport's pretty pricey!). If you are unsure of where you wanna go in Hong Kong and you don't have all day, you better stay in the airport alright |

KC booked a room in the hotel in the airport for the parents to rest so we just crashed haha. If there were only youngsters in the trip, i would definitely opt to wait in the airport because the flight was at midnight anyway... We arrived at Busan early in the morning (KC and CL flew Thai Airways, which was like a few minutes apart from our flights so we just met up in the airport.
Then we head to the AirBnB area to drop our luggage and hoping for an early check in, as usual CL made all the bookings (this is why i love to travel with her LOLOLOL, i get to nua while she does all the work :P) and if i remember correctly our apartment was in Seomyeon area (which is one of the main shopping/night life area in Busan). It was so early that nope, none of the apartments were ready... And most of the shops in the area was still closed as well!!!

| Zombie faces. I had zero makeup on so.... Ew. LOL. One of the apartment was ready early (it's the apartment CL booked for my 'rents) and since we all couldn't function anymore we decided to crash it. It's a cute little apartment with a little loft (apparently there are a lot of this type of apartments in South Korea) used for an extra room - you have to shuffle in the loft because the ceiling is very close to you, you definitely can't stand up there! I totally forgot to snap a pic of the first apartment because of obvious reason (zombie mode was totally on) but our next AirBnBs are pretty similar so i might have a picture in future posts. But actually our first AirBnB was the nicest one, it's still very new, super clean and well cared for. Next series of photos are a tour of hunny and i's little apartment! |

I would rate this apartment (which i cannot give the AirBnB link because i don't have it *LOL*) an A+ and if i ever go back to Busan, i would totally love to stay here again (hopefully it would still be as clean and sparkling haha), the location is very good too as you only need to walk a little to shop/dine/get to the subway. I mean, under the apartment there's even a coffee shop! Talk about perfection....

| Sometimes i got problems with constipation during my trips so i always try to drink yakult or yogurt everyday, thanks to language barrier i thought this was a yogurt but alas... It was a juice (and juice like this does nothing for my digestion system!) |

| Instant boiled egg (fun fact : boiled egg is my fave type of egg other than wet scrambled egg!) with instant multi-grain rice. I can live off combini food, easy. High maintenance i am, but i sure am easy to feed! |

| Dish that haunted our trip *LOLOLOL*, samgyetang! As it is very healthy (and bland AF, or maybe just because i are crap at eating it properly) and my parents (who are not young anymore) need to watch their diet, we ended up having more than enough serving of samgyetang for life! |

| It's HUGEEEE, like... twice the size of the usual one that i have in Singapore. But i prefer the Singaporean ones because they are sweet, these are pretty bland... Didn't stop me from finishing because i weirdly like bland food (except for samgyetang. Nope, not that) |

We then made a trip to Au's university. It was on top of a hill and the air was super nice there. I didn't take lots of pics because i didn't want to look weird *LOL*, there were a lot of Au's friends leh! Also when we snuck in the dorm, we had to do it quietly since visitors are not supposed to get in (i think you can ask for permission but Au being Au, she never bothered and just snuck us in WTH).

| Au then brought us to have dinner at one of the most traditional restaurant in her uni area, it was very... Traditional looking, as in very old and rickety. It is run by a halmeoni who is pretty fierce, she only has a few menu per day and she would order you what to eat (it's pretty hilarious), she might gets angry if you take pics of your food (i quickly snap this blur pic, it was very dark!) or don't finish them (she was a lot friendlier to us because we are obviously not students, i guess she is fierce to the students like a real Korean grandma is to her grandchildren!) |
