Hello peeps and hello October!!!

As much as i hate how the year's passing by so fast, i can't help being happy that it's October, my most favorite month of the year. It's my birthday month, if you don't already know hahaha! Gonna be 32 in two days, i take comfort to the fact that it's another 8 years before i turn 40 (then i'd console myself that it's still another 10 to my 50th? I can see the pattern already *LOL*).

Of course, as i grow older, i don't exactly look forward to my birthdays anymore, but the month October still has it's special meaning to me-and i doubt it'll ever change. It's just very.... Special. I'm also still hoping that we can celebrate Halloween somehow (never did), although i say that every year and keep on letting it pass by as it is hahahaha.

Anyway, i am in Malang for a short vacation with my family as you read this (i decided that i don't want October to start without a new blog post, OCD still going strong here!) and as the post opener of October : an outfit post!

I really love the coordi i came up with that day! And i also love how the photos turned out! Hunny does better some days than the other :p (this is definitely one of the better days!)

It's pretty old, obviously-i still had my old hair without the ombre (but it looked awesome with the freshly touched up roots!) taken around March at Latte (which i still plan to review). We had a double family date with my friend LL!

Speaking of Forever New, i kept on getting e-mails from someone from their company asking me if i can link up my posts where i mentioned their stuffs to their webstore, i didn't even bother replying it (i don't reply to ridiculous requests -___-) but they kept on sending a similar one! So irritating! FYI, i actually love to share where i got my stuffs from (even link it up when i find the services very satisfactory-this applied to Online Shops mainly), but i don't find it acceptable for online stores/brands to ASK me to link up or review their stuffs when they don't even sponsor me! That's really rude okay (and this is not even the first time a brand/online shop ask me to do it)!

Offering me discounts in order for a blog post is even ruder! LOL. WTF. I don't mean to be bitchy, but i actually get paid to do advertisement (meaning if you want me to specifically write a blog post for you, in certain angle or putting a banner on my blog), but even if you want me to review your product, i actually still accept non-paid reviews, just don't ask me to give you free advertisement after i spent my money buying your products, that's really very.... Disrespectful. How do you feel if i step into your store asking for free stuffs then telling you i'd mention you or something?

Sorry, i got a bit carried away. I used to read bloggers rant about this before i started my blog and i guess i didn't really understand how much pain and heartache this kind of behaviour gave them, but now i do! Please please please, stop harassing me for a free ad! Especially for bigger brands, i'm sure you have budgets for advertisement, my rate is not even that expensive! LOL.

OK, rant is done. I should blog about my mini escape from last time because now i have this mini escape to blog as well! LOL. Story of my life!

Hello August!!!

A few days too late, buy not THAT late, right? Been busy with Baby Boy's birthday party (can you believe this lazy-ass actually attempted a DIY birthday party? Well, i did! Blog post coming *hopefully* soon!) and all the preparations so i didn't have time to blog. I really hate neglecting my blog for more than a few days when i'm actually around (obsessive much?) so i decided to do a post that can be done the quickest : outfit post!

This is actually the outfit i wore for my niece Au's Sweet 17 party :

Hunny commented that i looked like some comic book's character (Black Widow-which is confusing because doesn't she always wear that catsuit?) with my two-toned hair curled and all black ensemble plus heels sashaying my way to the car *LOL*, i personally think i look for like a villain. As for the title... LOL, i only think it's so catchy, very naughty of course-and nope, i don't do S&M don't worry (eh, why should you worry anyway? My hunny should hahaha), it's just a title lah okay, i like weird titles i think they're attention-grabbing so please don't read too deep into nothing!

Anyway. FOTD first :

Hm. Not bad for something i slapped on for 15 minutes (and so proud of myself to actually stick the friggin' falsies at speedy time when i totally lost my eyelash clip *found it now!*), no? I usually would take my time (because i enjoy the process of dolling up, it's therapeutic-even with the frustration over falsies #myweakness haha) putting my makeup for special events, especially for something as important as my own niece's sweet 17!

Problem was i totally underestimated the time i had to spend at a hair salon to get my hair done (i only asked for a curl T.T and it took over two hours T.T, not to get it done-NO. It was probably half an hour, the rest 1.5 hour was spent waiting to be tended because it was a Saturday and everybody seemed to decided to throw all kinds of parties that day so every aunties and their daughters were there zzzz) so by the time i was home, it was past the time when we were supposed to be leaving (because family must come super early and all) so i frantically slap slap slap everything on my face *cries*.

Anyway! I think i look decent! Even in the professional photographs taken by the photogs my makeup looks good *ahem*.

I...errr... Normally would wear a brand new lipstick for every occassion that's even slightly important *gulp*, but i was so busy and rushed i didn't even have time to pick the new lipstick from my ridiculous stash. I really wanted to wear a very bright, Barbie pink for some reasons so i mixed the L.A Colors lipstick (which is very neon but the shade's a bit too sweet for the look i was going for) and Nature Republic (which is a bit too dark than the shade i wanted)-mixing the two together did manage to create the color that i had in mind, it's very pink, very bright and loud enough to stand out.

Sadly the photos (which i took in the car at 5 P.M because i i didn't even have time to snap a decent FOTD in my walk-in closet like usual) couldn't show the true color of the shade (the outfit snaps showed a more true color of it!)...

Yep, my hair has faded into a more pastel pink, very cotton candy in this pic hahaha. It has faded even more now (but i have prepared a fresh hair dye so i will have bright ombre again soon!)
Btw L, i did not appreciate the Mulan Kwok comment you made about my hair, you wanna die or something?

Sadly i didn't go anywhere or wear anything nice enough for an outfit post while my ombre was still new and very bright pink! ZZZ. Should make the effort but you know lah...

It was taken in the venue's separate room that was functioned as that night's disco time area-before the actual disco time of course! Unfortunately there were a lot of staffs (from the lighting/decor i guess) and they were blatantly staring at me while i attempted to get some nice pics-hence the stiffs, monotonous poses zzzz. So sad because i love how the pics turns out, the wall... the balloons... the light (we did requested them to change the light from blue to this warm yellow so the mas2 were not that useless hahaha). Sigh. Should grow a thicker skin or something

Can you tell that i was actually layering a (crop) lace top under a dress? Haha. Not going to flash my arms, i got enough fat jokes that night (from two b**ches who are not exactly model material themselves grrrr. I don't understand girls who make fat jokes to other girls, do they seriously think it's funny? Problem is, they're around the same (or bigger) size as me, would they find it as hilarious if i retaliate?) being covered up as i was

I had no idea what to wear to Au's party but then i stumbled into this perfect dress in H&M (in Somerset, Singapore), it's totally beautiful! Made from chiffon, tulle and sequins. It's not very clear in the pictures, but the inner part (with bodycon-skirt) is full of sequins that look like mermaid's scales (the centre part of the chest area's also covered in the same sequins. Then a few days before the actual D Day i found the perfect lace cropped top in GM (it's just Magnolia!) to pair it with so it was fate!

Speaking of fat, i was actually in-between sizes for this dress *sigh*, totally story of my life. The S size fits like a glove, a bit too fit that i almost ripped the skirt when i took it off! So i went for the M-which is HUGE and i have so much movement space in it-not in a good way! It made me look waist-less and wider than i already am, but of course it can always be fixed with my fave ever obi!

I enjoyed this outfit a lot!

Oh yeah, the dress code was black (mostly for the birthday girl's friends, but i prefer to stick to dresscodes because it makes it much easier to narrow down what to wear anyway) and #Undecided (who's invited with her hubby and accompanied me most of the night getting eaten alive by the ravenous mosquitos) also wore a black dress so of course we had to snap an outfit pic together. She arrived super late (so much for helping out BB @___@!!!) so we couldn't snap a pic in the disco venue but this will do!

The pretty lavender lighting is not good for details but you can actually see where the sequins are better!

Ohh i'm so behind with my blog posts i actually feel depressed thinking about it...

Dressing My Age... or Not!

Hey guys....

Happy April Fool's Day!!! Did you prank anyone today? Hehe... (No no, i didn't. Spent it with a girl's date with L trying out a new cafe, Thirty3Brew-chit chatting about... ghosts, of all things and then to the dentists because my half fake tooth *my teeth broke in half so they had to make a false one to make it whole again zzz* fell off yesterday while i was eating fried rice -____-).

It's time for another backdated outfit post (not so backdated lah, it's from last December LOLOLOL, i told you i would post outfit pics from 2013 as well, i'll just call it... Throwback Style, cool eh? Totally just made that up, am i good or am i good?). This was the look i threw together for the opening of House of Mustika Ratu event :

Like i mentioned many times before, when i attend an even,t i like to dress up to reflect the brand's image and. Since Mustika Ratu has an elegant (they are the official cosmetic for Puteri Indonesia pageant after all), prim, proper and traditional image, i decided to dress very feminine and soft. I didn't mean to dress maturer than usual, but turned out that's how the look translated because #Undecided actually said she was surprised by my mumsy attire *LOL*.

I didn't know that mini tutu skirts' mumsy, #Undecided!

The dusty pink lace dress was the core item for this look and i worked the items around it. The dress' super short for me so i had to layer it with a baby pink mini tutu skirt to make it look decent

I was working on flash tattoo review back then so i was totally decked in it! That reminds me, i should start using them again, i have so many of them in my stash thanks to Me-Nail!

Paired the look with a simple and soft makeup with strong lip color :

I was also trying out Make Over eyeliner pencil in Glam Gold that i got from Miracle's event's goodie bag, i didn't expect it be so lovely!

AND Clinique's Cream Shaper for Eyes in Egyptian that i also received in a goodie bag *LOL* (i clearly don't really buy eyeliner anymore, i got so many from goodie bags!)

I don't think i can restrict myself like that, if i have to stay within those very rigid rules to dress in order to look skinnier, i guess i'd rather look fat 5 out of 10 times i dress up. I dress up to make myself happy, not to make people approve of me....)

Anyway, me being me, of course i had to insert a bit of a playful touch to a rather mature (can i say boring #ahem) look, while i think the appearance of the multiple flash tattoos all over my body added to the playfulness, i just had to take it up a notch with the uber kawaii Baby Biscuit bag!

Vintage N' Roses

Hey ho everybody!

I just went on our usual Tuesday (when i actually wrote this entry, last week) movie date (with my hunny, not with any other guy don't worry hahaha) and watched Mortal Instrument. Have you guys watched it? I really REALLY like it!!!! Totally didn't see that coming! It's been a while that a movie could make me feel this way! It's not Twilight by any means, but i feel half as smitten for this movie which is HUGE already! Currently obsessing over Jamie Campbell Bower because of that and am planning to get my hands on the books like ASAP. ASAP i said!!! (actually, i might already do by now...) Will be gushing over the movie in more details when i write my monthly movie reviews :D!

Anyway, if you're wondering what that title means.. Well, i'm trying to be more creative in giving my posts titles names instead of being horribly cryptic all the time *LOL*. Was about to name it "Ririn's Wedding Look" or "My OOTDs for A's Little Sister's Wedding", you know... The usual horrible titles i'd use hahahaha. But then i remembered how #Undecided complained about us having to come up with better titles and also how creative fashion bloggers are when they titled their outfit entries!

So yeah, this is my narcissistic post about the outfit, make up and the whole nine yards when i attended Ririn (A's little sister, obvi) wedding last Sunday :p.

Geddit? I got roses in my dress (and accessories) and well, i was wearing my vintage Dior clutch hahahaha... So... Vintage N' Roses! (No, i'm not a fan of Guns N' Roses) Oh ya, sorry for the super soft focus. I swear all of my gadgets are female. My camera clearly is because it's got massive mood swings. One day it'll be all sharp and sassy, the next it'd be super gloomy and dreamy, and i never even change the setting or whatever! I know it's kinda broken and all, but it also produces such beautiful photos (especially for a simple pocket camera)-even #Undecided begged me never to ditch it!

But i don't really mind actually because it sets the right tone to the overall look. I was aiming for a super feminine, demure and princessy look, so the (overly) soft focus is not so disturbing (for me).

Yeah, it's going to be FULL with my narcissistic pictures, so if you're not into it.... TOO BAD! Hahahaha...

Can you believe my dress costed me less than IDR 80.000 (USD 8)? It was either IDR 80.000 or 70.000, and i'm more convinced that it's IR 70.000. LOLOLOL yes, effing cheap alrite :P. It's from one of those Indonesian made Korean brand replica online shops! I was very doubtful that it'd turn out good (they posts the original brand's pictures but they rarely turn out to be exactly like the catalog picture!) because it's dirt cheap and all, so i was super surprised when it finally came and it's quite beautiful! The only catch is, it's quite sheer so i had to layer it with a black mini skirt underneath or everybody would be able to see my knickers!

I wore a lacey black top under it because of two reasons : one, i wasn't about to go sleeveless and show the world my thighs, i mean arms (yes, they are massive, shut up). And two, i already told ya! It's see through! At least with the lacey inner it's not so bad! Hahaha...

I already knew i wanted to wear this dress to Ririn's wedding (yes, as A's BFFs we've been "booked" for the wedding months and months prior) but i didn't style them properly until a few days before. I knew instantly that i wanted to wear it with a black lacey inner but it took me too long to try to find it because the craze/trend over lacey tops seems to be going away already, story of my life!

I remembered surely that Magnolia stocked lots of lacey tops like the one i was searching for (i initially pictured a long sleeved, turtleneck top. I even had one in white from Forever 21 and never even thought about getting the black one, stupid #Pink!!!), they were even down graded to the sale section for months already! But of course, when i went to GM, they only had the most disgusting colors *like the scary yellow or green ones* left! FML!

I went to every store that could possibly stock this kind of tops (hunny, KC and CL were my witnesses *LOL*) in GM to no avail. Oh, i found one in Colorbox but it's a new arrival and it's IDR 199.000. I wasn't about to purchase an IDR 199.000 inner, let alone from Colorbox that will definitely put it on sale within a few weeks!!!

So i was ready to give up and wear my cotton turtleneck top instead! But then i felt the urge to stop by GC and i found that sabrina cut black lace top from Grand Palace's sale section, on a 50% off sale! It's still IDR 99.000, which is more expensive than my dress *LOL*, but it's very nice and comfortable, with pretty good material and it can be worn as a normal top *over a tanktop*, and it's very nice on (if i may say so myself) that i am tempted to go back and purchase the white one too...

One incident, as we already mentioned on Ririn's wedding post, when we arrived at the wedding reception #Undecided gasped and gestured madly. Apparently we wore the exact same headband LOLOLOL! And we didn't tell each other what we're planning to wear (except vague descriptions about our dresses)! None of us remembered where we bought this, but we knew it was purchased online and i think we actually bought it from Ririn's online shop! (Yes, Ririn's the owner of the online shop where i frequently bought my cute bags lots of you were asking about).

And of course this too! Please ignore my over grown gel polishes, the one on the index finger completely fell off and i experimented with a nail wrap that belonged to my niece BB and it think it came out nice, like i colored them like that on purpose hahaha

Yeah, the cuff was more expensive than my dress or my inner LOL! The tag was still on before i wore it, that's why i know how much that was! IDR 158.000 hehehe. I'm pretty sure i bought it with a voucher though, i always buy stuffs with vouchers in Centro haha.

The earrings were on a huge sale and costed me IDR 20.000, and they sparkled like the real thing *LOL*. It's not so sparkly in the picture but IRL it's super duper sparkly! Yeah, i'm off wearing the real things for a while, still traumatized after losing that diamond ring..

Decided to wear brown/creme on my shoes and bag, i thought that would be refreshing other than wearing the usual black..

I was about to do a step by step party make up tutorial but... I was running out of time even though i got ready two hours before because i spent so much time doing my hair! I am so horrible when it comes to hair styling that i struggled so much-just curling them! And i was covered with products (because i had to use mousse before and sprayed them with hairspray like crazy to make sure it'll hold! If i didn't put on enough products it'll straightened up within minutes or less!) so i was sticky, hot and bothered!

I did my face in like 30 minutes including sticking on falsies so i'd say i'm getting better on the putting on falsies department (unlike curling my hair..)! I wore my fave D'Eyeko falsies again that i've worn to my cousin's wedding and it's fabulous and comfie as before, bad news is... I totally ruined it when i was attempting to clean the glue from the band HUHUHUHU. I heard that good falsies should be able to be used up to five times but mine died after only two usage huhuhuhu all thanks to my crappy cleaning method zzzz.
