Hi guys!!!
Did you guys think imma leave September with no blog update? Ofc i won't late it happen >.<, although again i waited until the very last minute to blog hahaha. Honestly though, i am super occupied with my Instagram and handling various projects, i truly had no energy nor time to touch my blog. I also spent majority of the month fangirling as i just found a new subject to obsess *LOL*. I battled talking about this new obsession on the blog as i miss rambling about nonsensical things here like i used to do, but it's sort of unconventional and although i am a very open minded person, not everybody is and i am still not ready if weirdo appears. I have enough of them in my Instagram and i don't feel like dealing with more in this space. I'll do it when i'm ready okay!
Anyway, today i am going to review an eyeshadow palette that i've been using a lot in the past month : Beauty Creations 35 Color Pro Palette (mine is in shade Ariel), courtesy of Kumura Beauty.
I am definitely not a stranger when it comes to Beauty Creations. One of their palettes was THE it palette for a while in 2018 (Tease Me eyeshadow palette, you can read my review of Tease Me here) and also used a few of their other products since (their highlighters are very recommeded). Beauty Creations is one of those bargain makeup brand from USA, usually sold in budget/bargain stores and affordable department stores there. In Indonesia you can purchase their products online but my recommendation ofc would be Kumura Beauty for the best price (this palette is sold for only IDR 110k in Kumura and constantly goes on promo. Currently you can get 3 items from Beauty Creations for IDR 110k including this palette, it's insane! Don't call them Kumura if they don't have insane deals for you *LOL*.
Despite being a bargain type of brand, their quality is definitely up there. One of the best in their category, i would say (they are around the same level as LA Girl, KleanKolor, Nabi, etc).
Beauty Creations 35 Color Pro Palette comes in with a matching outer sleeve |
Ingredient list, btw it's cruelty free ^^! |
Now let me show you swatches of all the shades :

5th row |
Overall their texture is not bad at all, although as expected from a bargain brand - there are some inconsistencies in terms of texture (but again even with a much more expensive brands i've experienced inconsistencies as well!). While most of the shades are pretty soft and smooth (some of the lighter shades are so soft that they even become a bit crumbly), there are a few shades that are pretty hard and chalky. Not much though, maybe 5 or so. Pigmentation of the shades are pretty bomb, especially the shimmers and the dark mattes., the hard and chalky ones are also just as pigmented. The only weak shades would be the super pale ones but i don't expect them to be pigmented anyway.
Another thing that i'm not a huge fan of from this palette is the fact that they have way too many similar shades. I understand that they want to categorized each palette with certain color family, but i really don't understand the need to put almost 10 of very similar cream shades in one palette - when you use them it's almost impossible to tell them apart! If they want each palette to be color specific, at least they can add more hues of purples, oranges and pinks instead of throwing all kinds of browns and creams in every saturation possible, then add a few purples, 4 pinks and 3 oranges - if you understand what i mean?
This is why although there are 35 shades available and you can wear them for any occasion, it doesn't mean you can come up with wildly different looks with this palette. You can do neutral everyday makeup, bolder earth toned makeup, bold purple makeup and bold sunset makeup, that's it hehe.
Let me show you some of the eye looks i came up with using this palette :
A softer eye look using mostly pinks and purples in the palette |
Another plus is that all the shades are easy to blend and manipulated |
Bolder neutral eye look |
A more dramatic eye look when i try to combine most of the different shades they have in this palette |
With full face of makeup |
I'd say that quality wise, the eyeshadows are definitely pretty good. It doesn't take a lot of effort to come with with a bold but totally blended and smooth eye makeup with them |
In conclusion, i think the palette is pretty awesome and definitely worth their price (especially Kumura's price), but the shade is pretty safe and boring (for me) for Ariel - i would definitely recommend this if you're someone who mostly wear neutral, earth toned makeup and sometimes would like to do a more dramatic look but not too often hehe. Other than Ariel, there are 5 other shades available, i personally find Ruby, Ilena and Aurora to be more interesting (actually i find their more colorful ones like Elsa and Olivia.
Thanks for reading guys. Do you like huge ass palettes like this too or do you prefer the smaller ones? What's your current fave eyeshadow palette? Do let me know in the comment box below and i promise to update more in October, my most fave month of the year!
