Wishlist : Hip and Happening Local Brands

Hello darlings!

It's been forever since the last time i made a wishlist!

Honestly the longer i become a blogger, the more products i receive from brands that they sort of curb my endless appetite for makeup, but only sort of! Although i don't shop for makeup nonstop anymore, that doesn't mean that i don't still crave and drool all over any pretty makeups that show up in my timeline or whatever because.. well, that's true blue makeup junkie for you, my love for makeup... It's unquestionable and undying *LOL*.

I also haven't been having casual convos with y'all regarding makeups in forever (i'm sorry for shoving endless reviews down your throats, i'm pretty sure they're somewhat useful tho?) and i truly miss that... So, let's refresh and chit chat, shall we?

So local beauty world has grown rapidly in the past two years or so, more and more new brands are popping right and left - much to the delight of beauty lovers like me ofc! I mean, the more the merrier (athough it's not such a good news for our wallet...), we are soooo spoiled for choices nowadays (especially when it comes to matte liquid lipsticks... the craze just won't die down!) and not only that, the newer, hipper local brands are a lot cooler than their predecessors (don't be fooled tho, older brands are also playing catch up and start revamping their overall image!) from product selection, name, to packaging and branding. It's safe to say that nowadays differentiating between local and international brands from the packaging is not easy anymore!

Today i want to show you some of those newer, hip and happening new brands which products i am dying to get my hands one!

1. Goban Cosmetics

Like most local brands, they started up with matte liquid lipstick, but they are quick to follow the trend and come up with their own highlighter (as a self proclaimed highlighter slave, i admit i started hyperventilating when i realize that local brands are coming up with highlighters!) next. They are super good in teasing their fans as well that we got hysterical just looking at their promotional photos before the launch! Available in three colors, i am most interested in the shade Moon Shadow as it seems like it's gonna suit my skin tone.

2. Esqa 

Esqa The Goddess Cheek Palette

Esqa is another brand that i also would loooove to try out, i already admire their packaging and branding ever since they came out with those super luxe looking satin lip crayons - but nothing piqued my interest as much as their The Goddess Cheek Palette. If anyone's up to give me a Valentine's pressie, this would be a perfect gift *LOL*.

3. Mizzu

Mizzu After Ego Contour & Highlight Kit Palette

If the previous two brands are more on the higher end price range, Mizzu is actually a more affordable, slighty more senior brand as they've been around longer too. I am also the most familiar with this brand compared to the others because i personally have used their product before, their liquid eyeliner (not the biggest fan tho because they are not water proof... or maybe they now have a waterproof one i don't know) to be exact. I also love how Mizzu often teams up with beauty influencers for special edition products, i bought those eye shadow palettes they made with Minyo and Tasya Farasya as they look super adorable and super affordable too. Ofc, i immediately put their Alter Ego Contour & Highlight Kit Palette in my wishlist as soon as they launched it. This item is most likely to be the item that i purchase first from this wishlist since it's actually very affordable - therefore a total value of money and won't make me feel to guilty!

3. Luxcrime

Luxcrime Golden Eyes Ultra Palette

I didn't even realize that Luxcrime is an Indonesian brand before, i mean... look at that beautiful palette!!! Don't you think it reminds us to various trendy, high quality international brands? The palette really is quite revolutionary (aesthetically speaking) for a local brand and i salute them for it! I used to never really play much with my eye makeup and focus on the lips only, but now that i often challenge myself to get out of my comfort zone and use more eyeshadows... This goes straight to my wishlist!

Since most new local brands do start with lippies, i do have four different lippies  brands in this wish list :p.

5. Candy Color

Candy Color Limited Edition Candy Pack

Just recently heard about this brand-it's all over Instagram, endorsed by local beauty influencers. The catchy name and packaging quickly caught my attention and when i see this value pack with four lippies in it... I think it's a must have if you are a lippie hoarder like me. I truly like nothing much more than value packs #kiasuqueen.

6. Dear Me

I also very recently heard about this brand (roughly around the same time as i heard about Candy Color) and well, new brands always make me super curious! Plus it's quite affordable compared to a lot of hip new brands hahaha - that's always a plus!

7. Mad for Lipstick

The name describes me to a T, i  truly am - mad for lipstick *LOL*. What a fun name. And they have quite a wide selection of shades, super interested in the purple hues. You do know that 2018's Pantone color of the year is Ultraviolet, yes? Just another reason to buy all purple lipsticks i want (in all honesty i would buy purple lipsticks regardless as it's one of my fave shades for lippies :p) this year.

8. They Talk About

They Talk About Matte Liquid - Starter Kit I

Are local brands super creative now or what??? I mean... Who thought of naming their brand They Talk About??? I wouldn't! But then again i am terrible at coming up with names hahaha #notcreative . I am very interested in them but to be totally realistic, the price is pretty steep so i dunno, if i ended up really want to try them i would probably check as much review as possible first!
