Hey guys!
Welcome to my first review of 2018 :D!
If you are a loyal reader of this blog, then Trisia Cosmetics is not an unfamiliar name because i've worked with them before. I've reviewed Trisia Cosmetics' Natural Matte Powder and Intense Color Eyeshadows and you can read it here. FYI, i use to just like their Natural Matte Powder (as i wrote in my review), but then i began using them with kabuki brushes and now i LOVE it! It's now probably one of my favorite face powder and that's saying a LOT because i've tried a lot of powders by now and i do like most of them so when i say i love it... You should know i that it's good.
Personally i think Trisia Cosmetics really have real nice products, yet i don't hear about them too much, they're too underrated - this needs to change!
Actually in the beauty community, Trisia Cosmetics' Soybean Whitening Series are pretty well-known to be very good, so i was very glad when i had the chance to work with them again (thanks to Surabaya Beauty Blogger!) and try out their skin care.

Trisia Cosmetics' Soybean Whitening Series |
The products that i received consist of : Soybean Whitening Serum, Soybean Facial Foam, Soybean Whitening Night Cream and Soybean Whitening Day Moisturizer |
We should start from the beginning ofc so let's talk about the facial foam first!
Claims to be suitable for all skin types |
The facial foam contains natural basic ingredient : Soybean Extract |
Soybean protein are supposed to help moisturize skin and the soft particles help get rid of dead skin cells |
Ingredient list and BPOM registration number |
The facial foam has a runny cream consistency, white in color with blue tiny scrub beads |
Once you mix it with water, it turns creamy paste-like. It doesn't lather much but feels creamy on the face |
I am going to be completely honest with you, when i first open it up and see how the facial foam actually looks like - i was a bit intimidated. It has a strong fragrance (i would say... floral? Btw, this is the only product out of the four that is fragranced) and the white and blue color reminds me of detergent @_@. I was a bit scared to use it, but when i finally did.. It's actually pretty nice! It's a lot more gentle on the skin than i was worried about (because of the way it looks, i was worried that it would be harsh on the skin), it helps cleanse my skin effectively and pretty pleasant on the skin. The blue beads are pretty prominent, you CAN really feel it on the skin but without being too abrasive (this means i can use it every day and my skin don't feel stripped or become sensitive from too much scrubbing).
I have very oily skin but even so after washing my face using this facial foam, i do feel my skin feel a bit dry (it feels very very clean-which i love especially after wearing a lot of makeup) but i always continue the steps with my normal toning and moisturizing steps and my skin feel totally fine afterwards, but this means those of you who have dry skin might want to be more cautious of this facial foam.
In general i quite like this facial wash, it works well and it's super affordable. Ofc, if you want the full result then you need to use the rest of the products because you can't expect a lot of things from just the facial wash (its primary job it to cleanse your skin, alright!)

The Whitening Serum comes in a small box with soybean pics on it |
The serum of also contains soybean extract that can help to reduce dark spots, brighten and hydrate skin. Combined with Microemulsion formula that can deliver whitening active ingredient deep into epidermis layer |
Ingredient list. As you can see here, all of Trisia Cosmetics products are made in Indonesia and all are registered to BPOM already |
The serum should be the next step after cleansing |
The serum is encased in small plastic bottle with a unique looking cap |
The serum's bottle has a dropper type of opening |
The consistency of the serum is very runny but a bit oily |
Now, out of the four products that i receive from this series, this is the only product that i am not the biggest fan of-not because it's not good, but because it isn't very compatible with my skin type.
Unlike most serums i tried before (which are usually very light and water-like or light lotion-like), this serum has an oily texture. It doesn't get absorbed into my skin as fast as i like and after it does, i can still feel it being slightly greasy. As i have very oily skin, it doesn't agree with my skin because i turn into a super oily wok only within an hour or so. I believe this serum would work better on normal/dry skin. As the facial foam is a bit drying, if you have dryer skin then this serum is a must before continuing with the moisturizer because they are quite light and won't be enough to moisturize your skin. But if you have oily skin like me, you might want to skip the serum and go straight to the moisturizer.
I cannot use this serum but my hunny's thirsty skin can definitely use it!

The Whitening Day Moisturizer comes in a simple white cardboard box |
Information and ingredient list |
One thing that comes in mind immediately is how tiny the moisturizer is :)). It's only 15gr, comes in a small (it's the same height as my point finger) white tube with twist off top. Although tiny, you only need a little bit each time so i have not actually run out of the moisturizer even though i've been using it for almost a month so i'd say the small tube would last you around 1.5 months |
It's opaque white in color (which i think is due to the SPF it contains) with a pretty light texture. It's lotiony but not too runny, but at the same time also not very thick |
I am usually wary of moisturizer that contains SPF because they can be very thick, hard to get absorbed to the skin and feel greasy - which are all not a problem that i face with Trisia's Soybean Whitening Day Moisturizer. It is thicker than your regular moisturizer, but still very bearable even on my oily skin. It gets absorbed pretty easily and it doesn't make my skin super oily but still able to moisturize it well. It works well under makeup too and i like this moisturizer quite a lot!
Information and ingredient list |
The tube, sizing, lettering and design is identical to the day moisturizer. This often confuses me and once i accidentally use the night cream during the day >.< |
The texture of the night cream is very light, lotion-like and off-white in color |
Out of the four, this is my fave product. It is light, gets absorbed into my skin very fast, doesn't leave any greasy or sticky feeling but it is potent enough to keep my oily kind deeply hydrated (keep in mind that this night cream is VERY light, if you have normal/dry skin then you definitely not going to find this cream to be hydrating enough on its own, the serum is highly advisable to be used before the day and night cream).
Now, as a series (except the serum because i stopped using it after a few usage because it's just way too rich for my skin) they work well together. I don't really have any dark spots, but i did have a few acne scars (mostly from facials) and i notice them gets lighter much faster than they normally would after using these products so i do think they totally would work on dark spots (just don't expect it to happen overnight because everything needs a process!).
My skin is pretty sensitive towards skin cares (if they are too rich i would get whiteheads) so i am always slightly nervous when i try out new skin cares (that's why i am nowhere nearly as adventurous when it comes to skin care compared to how i act towards makeup) but i am very happy to report that my skin behaves pretty nicely the entire time i am using this series. I did get a few zits but it's got nothing to do with the series but rather my hormones around that time of the month *LOL*.
All in all, i really enjoyed my experience with Trisia Cosmetics' Soybean Whitening Series and would recommend it for everybody who are looking for affordable skin are that can help brighten (note the word brighten, although it's called Whitening Series, they actually work to brighten your skin because every skin tone is beautiful!) your skin and lighten dark spots in the long run (just adjust the products you use : skip the serum for oily skin and definitely use it for normal/dry skin) - but remember, what works on my skin might not work for you, it's always trial and errors when it comes to skin care - but on MY skin, they work really really well.
I would definitely have no problem spending my own money on this series (not the serum ofc, coz i don't need it) - i especially would totally consider purchasing the day moisturizer and night cream because i really enjoy it, and the price tag makes it an easy choice to buy them without hesitation :)).
If you have a hard time finding Trisia products on your area, you can easily purchase them at their website now, just go to trisiacosmetics.com and add all the products that you want to your cart and proceed :D. You can also follow their IG @trisiacosmetic for the latest updates.
Thank you Trisia for the chance to try out your products, now i am very curious to try out more products from them (pstttt, my fellow Surabaya Beauty Bloggers who reviews their Acne Series also report good feedbacks!)
