I'm sure y'all already familiar with my friend O, who i've mentioned many times in this blog ^^. She was featured more than a few times and even walked the runway alongside #Undecided and i as well as attenting Misslyn's private event with me. Do keep in mind that this is a themed look, so it's definitely not your everyday makeup or even regular party makeup haha. It's more exaggerated and dramatic to serve the purpose. O also kept on saying "Put on those flower crown!" "Use chibi chibi accessories!", OMG... No need to ask one lah O, bloggers are the best when it comes to selfie hahaha.

But i am jumping the gun here! Let's start from the very beginning, shall we? O (or should i say, LAUREN TAN *ahem*) came to my house bright and early... And i just woke up wkwkwkwk. I had shower ASAP (with her prodding me all the way) and snapped this "Before pic" :

O asked me why i snap such an unflattering picture of myself, with wet hair and glasses-i guess she doesn't know that most beauty bloggers are used to do such thing to emphasize before and after result *LOL*. I told her that i like to take very ugly pictures so the after would look more dramatic and she quickly agreed *LOL*. Anyway, you might already know that i am very close to O, we've known each other since around 2002 so she's one of those girlfriends (as in very good friend which happens to be a girl. I am straight hahahaha) that is already like a family, but don't worry! I am capable of being totally unbiased!

I was quite shocked when i saw her hauling a huge train case and another huge bag to contain her stuffs because i've never seen her in full MUA mode before hahaha.

In case you're wondering what those cute boxes of eyeshadow on the left are from *like me*, well apparently O broke her MUA makeup palette (you know, the huge ones with endless colors inside and products inside) and had to house them in pencil cases *LOL*. She also enticed me with the story about the Smashbox palette on the top right which she gets for super low price in US when she bought them in set (with a lot other things including 2 perfumes and other stuffs, makes me want to book a ticket to USA right now -___-)

Errr, i should've moved that shoes out of the way first :D

I don't dare to blow up the pictures with O in it because she kept on protesting when i snapped her pictures *coz she's bare faced and all haha*

The first step that O did before putting on any makeup was using Nano Spray on my face. She says it helps to make foundation sticks to your skin better. Btw, O is like a Nano Spray evangelist because it's the only thing helping her with her acne hehe. (She also used it again on me AFTER finishing the makeup to make it lasts longer)

It was hard to snap a pic of myself being nano-sprayed, so when Baby Boy walked in and quickly became her next victim, i hurriedly snapped this pic hehehe

O is a perfectionist (it takes one to know one *LOL*) so she kept on fixing her creation even when she said "I'm done" *LOL*. Here's the result (that she still tweaked some more afterwards) of her "Barbie Doll Makeup" creation :


I was quite shocked when i saw how HUGE she was able to make my eyes look hahaha (and no Kathy, i am not melotot! What's melotot in English??? Bulging my eyes, perhaps?)

Super dolly eyes with the cray cray falsies. Oh yeah, O also went all the way and bought me those blue contact lenses to achieve a very Barbie look

She also applied a very Barbie pink lipstick!

Professional lipsticks are scary though, i ate white colored chicken mushroom cream soup later and the soup turned pink -____- and the lipstick still looks the same on my lips! In fact the lip color stayed on the WHOLE day without losing its opacity even after two heavy meals!

Told ya she kept on fussing on my makeup hahaha (btw my silly hunny climbed a stool to snap this pic LOLOLOL)

While this is definitely not a look that i am used to, i really enjoyed turning into an Asian Barbie for a day! I actually got a lot of compliments on the makeup and people kept on telling me how "Barbie" i looked, which means job well done, Lauren Tan! The makeup stayed flawless the whole day (not only the lipstick, of course), my skin's super oily so i had to blot with oil film twice but the makeup didn't fade/break or anything (with my usual self-applied makeup i notice some dry spots on my nose afterward, which is not very attractive). So you know you're covered the whole day when using Lauren Tan's services, hehe!

And of course, i cam-whored nonstop the whole day hehehe...

I didn't have time to camwhore too much at home because i was running late, so snapped most of my selfies in the car! I was wearing flash tattoo by Me-Nail, of course (advert inside another advert, clever me!)

Plastic-fantastic, my skin was glowing and so flawless i looked totally plastic hahaha

I do realize i would've looked more Barbie-ish if i curled my hair, but i had no time to even fix my fringe (that's too long to be let down and stubbornly refused to be parted to the side *sigh*)! You know i'm not a morning person, and i was panicking because i was running late so... I'll try harder next time *promise*.

I enjoyed the look very much, even though it was hard to see because the crazy falsies half secured my vision and the spidery lower falsies made me feel like i had hairs sticking out at the sides of my face and people were staring at me like i was an alien at the mall (but people stare at me regardless, so... it was a bit more intense but i can deal with that *LOL*, and yes! I went to the mall with a themed makeup, why not hahaha), but it was a very fun look (that i don't think i can ever re-create by myself haha)! I don't usually like people touching my face so i am a bit allergic to MUAs *LOL*, but i *obviously* felt very comfortable with O and would definitely do it all over again! It was really nice not having to bother with applying makeup (which sometimes make me panicky when i am running out of time hehe) and let someone takes care of it for once *LOL*.

I know that not everybody gets themed or fantasy makeups (like #Undecided, i think she was horrified at the amount of white liners used on my eyes hahaha) so i am including Lauren Tan's works on more "normal" makeups!

Review : Natural Honey Hand and Body Lotion (SPONSORED)

Hellowwww everybody :D!

Have you guys ever heard of a local (Indonesian) brand called Natural Honey? If you haven't, then you've come to the right place to learn more about this awesome brand! (If you have, then you still come to the right place lah alright, so please keep reading, thank you!)

Thanks to Natural Honey and BBlog, i got the chance to try out all four variants that they have ^^!


Let's take a moment to admire the thoughtful hamper they have set up for the bloggers ^^, loving all of the pretty things they have included in this hamper especially the floral statement necklace!

Anyway, Natural Honey is actually not a new brand, they've been around for quite a while and i see them all the time whenever i go grocery shopping, i might even tried out their products once a long time ago-now they are back with brand new packaging and i think it's the perfect time to refresh my (and your) memories about their goodness!

They have four variants that include Antioxidant, Moisture Rich, Pure White and Firm & Youthful

Natural Honey's targetted for ladies who believe that beauty comes from something simple, by being themselves and expressing beauty from the inside. Their special formula's inspired by pure honey that comes from high quality natural resources combined with the latest technology to make sure all of their products' purity are well maintained.

Natural Honey makes women appear elegant, feel confident and attractive, making her feel comfortable in every situation.

All of Natural Honey hand and body lotions come in a golden yellow plastic squeeze bottle that looks very simple, elegant and calming in my eyes. The bottles are made from good quality plastic that are lightweight but not flimsy or cheap looking/feeling and they all come with flip tops.

The flip top's quite secure so you don't need to worry about the lotion spilling out, i'm even quite confident that you can bring Natural Honey to travel and it won't give you any trouble. This is an important point for a traveler like me, nobody wants lotions with not-so-secure lid that might accidentally got opened inside our suitcases and make a total mess! I did find the lids to be quite hard to open sometimes, especially because i do not like to use my nails that are almost always wearing polishes in fear of ruining my manicures! But other than that, i have no complains about the packaging.

Now let's get familiar with their variants!

First up : Moisture Rich which contains Pure Honey (of course), Olive Oil and Vitamin E

We're Indonesians are very spoilt when it comes to our controlled temperatures, we mostly prefer to stay inside fully air conditioned rooms and start moaning when it's getting slightly hot *LOL*. I've never been more aware of this rather than whenever i'm in a four-seasoned countries during winter. While everybody else's enjoying the warmth of the heater, we wonder if we can turn on the air conditioner since we cannot stand being stuffy and not touch by the cooling breeze!

With that kind of attitude towards air conditioners, combined with stress and not-so-healthy-lifestyle, sadly we don't realize that our skin's health are influenced by those factors. This can appear in coarse and dry skin textures, also cracks in elbow and heel areas.

If you suffer from those kind of skin conditions, Natural Honey hand and body lotion in Moisture Rich is the right choice for you. The pure honey contained in this variant functions to keep skin's softness and health, Olive Oil and Vitamin E (which are famous for being super good for our skin!) treat dry skin and nurture them so they turn soft and fresh again.

It claims to be has a formula that absorbs fast into skin and non-greasy, also that they would keep your skin healthy, fresh and glowing at all time. Let's see if i agree with their statement.

Moisture Rich has a light lotion texture and is semi transparent white in color

It's very light and almost immediately got absorbed once you spread it on your skin

The light weight texture's really pleasant and i love how fast it got absorbed into my skin! I was very pleasantly surprised when i can feel immediately how smooth my skin is after using it, seriously very silky smooth that i couldn't stop stroking my own skin! It leaves no greasy trail whatsoever!

Of course i also tried it on hunny's super dry (his skin's super damaged after spending 2 weeks in Korea's winter) where it got absorbed equally fast, and also managed to soften and moisturized his skin really well despite its light consistency!

I have to be honest that i am not the biggest fan of the scent, it's... kinda floral with a hint of olive oil scent, i think? I also find the scent to be the strongest compared to the other three, but it didn't give me a headache or anything so it's still tolerable.

So... My verdict?

I LOVE Moisture Rich! I believe it's the perfect match for hunny's super dry and sensitive skin, but amazingly light that i also love to use it on myself! We also don't need to reapply and our skins remains moisturized until the next shower! (Not sure about the 24 hours thing coz... We shower before 24 hours has passed, obviously!)

The second variant i'm about to review is the Firm & Youthful one with Pure Honey, Yeast, Collagen and Vitamin C

Like the name suggested, this variant works intensively to treat skin's firmness so your skin would appear beautiful and youthful. Yeast Extract acts as skin conditioner to maintain skin's softness, Vitamin C's essential to help collagen production that would ensure skin to stay firm and appear brighter while Pure honey helps treat skin's health and softness.

This variant also claims to get absorbed quickly without any greasy trail and helps to maintain skin's firmness to help your skin stay beautiful and youthful.

At the first glance i thought all of the Natural Honey's variants have the same texture, but upon application i realized they all have slight differences. Firm & Youthful is a tad thicker than Rich Moisture, but still very light and semi transparent white in color

It got absorbed almost as quick as Rich Moisture and also leaves no greasy trail whatsoever

Firm & Youthful has a rather similar, slightly perfumed floral scent as Rich Moisture's but not as strong-so the scent... Is also not my favorite haha. It works super well on my skin (and hunny's too), makes our skin immediately super smooth, soft and bouncy! So...

Another thumbs up! (Ignore the glum expression haha) LOVE this one as well!

Now onto the third variant :

Antioxidant with Pure Honey, Orange Extract and Vitamin E

Different than the previous two variants, Antioxidant has a thick lotion texture with opaque white colored (instead of semi transparent)

It takes a little longer to spread and absorbs into skin compared to the other two, but still in record breaking time haha

I was wondering how come the lotion color of this Antioxidant variant seemed to differ from the other two and i remember thinking to myself that the consistency almost as if it contains SPF, then i read the description and the UV Protection part listed, then everything immediately made sense *LOL*.

Our outdoor activities often means that we're getting direct exposure to sunlight, as well as other negative environment conditions like dusts, air pollution, vehicle emissions, etc. Protect your skin with Natural Honey Antioxidant to keep it feeling hydrated. Containing Pure Honey that functions to maintain skin's softness and health, Orange Extract and Vitamin C as antioxidant. The formula is easily absorbed and non sticky. Apply it all over your hands and body after shower so your skin stay healthy, soft and protected from environment's bad conditions.

The first thing that i noticed about this variant is its lovely, refreshing scent. It's slightly citrusy but without the sourness that i dislike from the usual citrusy-scented products. I find this variant to be a total pleasure to apply! As it is thicker and more opaque than Moisture Rich and Firm & Youthful, it takes probably a few seconds longer to apply and get absorbed, it also has a smidge of greasiness/dampness left (in this case it's more of a highly moisturized feeling rather than greasy and nothing compared to other body lotions with their annoying greasiness!) that did not occur with the other two, but trust me!

It's awesome! It's just as powerful as the other two to keep my skin incredibly soft, smooth and silky! Love the fact that it also protects my skin against direct sunlight ^^!

The last but not least :

Pure White (SPF 30 PA++) with Pure Honey, Yogurt, Vitamin E, Vitamin B3 and Double UV Protection

Non-healthy skin conditions often make skin looks dull and not glowing. To keep skin's health on tip top condition, avoid direct skin exposure to sunlight. Protect and treat your skin with Natural Honey Pure White that's rich in natural protection. Containing Pure Honey to maintain skin's softness and health, Yogurt that's rich in natural nutrition for our skins, Vitamin E, B3 and Double UV Protection that are able to slow down melamine productions so skin would appear brighter and protect against sun's SUV A and UV B's negative effects. The formula's fast absorbing and non-sticky. Apply all over hands and body after shower to make sure your skin appears bright and protected.

Pure White has a thick lotion texture and opaque white in color, closest to Antioxidant (but lighter)-again i'm sure it's due to the SPF it contains. Due to the thicker consistency, it also takes a teeny tiny bit longer to blend and get absorbed into skin (remember, Natural Honey's longer to get absorbed variants mean just a matter of seconds, so it's very short time and little effort anyway!) and leave a light greasy/damp trail behind. It has a soft and calming powdery scent that i like.

Personally i find Pure White to be the least moisturizing out of the four variants (it's still very moisturizing, though), but that's just my experience so results my varies on different skins!

I still love it anyway!

In conclusion, i believe the least greasy one (for me) would be the Moisture Rich, followed by Firm & Youthful, then Pure White and the most moist one is Antioxidant. Scent wise i like Antioxidant the most, followed by Pure White. My least fave scent is Moisture Rich.

So after trying out all four variants, what's my overall verdict on this brand?

I ABSOLUTELY heart it!

Both hunny and i been using Natural Honey hand and body lotion non-stop after we received the package (which means after we got back to Surabaya, it's only been a week but the result's very significant already!)-they all work wonderfully on both my normal skin and hunny's super dry and sensitive skin!

Like i already mentioned before, hunny's skin was badly damaged by Korea's harsh winter (up to -18 celcius at some points!) that his skin was peeling, cracking and even wounded during our trip. It got to a very disgusting point (i totally regret not taking pictures!!!) that even very expensive international branded body butter couldn't repair them! But the effect of using Natural Honey for only one week has managed to restore his skin into normal and even quite hydrated condition! How wonderful is that???

Not only the product's totally awesome, but they're also extremely pocket friendly! All variants are available in 100ml for price range of IDR 6000-7500 and 200ml for IDR 10.200-13.000 (depending on where you purchase them) and are readily available in supermarkets such as Carrefour, Giant and Hypermarket.

Are you wondering which one out of the four is my favorite?

It's the Antioxidant! I love the scent so much (because they all are almost equally moisturizing anyway!) that's why it's the winner!

I would very highly recommend Natural Honey for everybody!!! It's super cheap, works super well and fuss free, what else can you ask for?

I would very definitely purchase them all with my own money, especially the Antioxidant one for me and Moisture Rich for hunny (which works the best on his skin, almost like magic!)-i am going to stock up on them soon and permanently changing hunny's HG body lotion to Natural Honey!
