Are you wondering what the heck this post' title's supposed to mean? Well... Lemme try to explain it *LOL*. I titled this My Inner Reflection because i am attempting to show you this person who i really am inside (albeit just a part of me), without the fear of looking ridiculous or crazy. Actually i did dress ridiculously crazy (at least for conservative Indonesia), but since i did that at my own sanctuary (with only my hunny as my witness, who DID tell me i was crazy) i think it's okay *LOL*.

I mention this many time how i am a total lolita at heart, but i don't think i've ever uploaded a full cray cray outfit yet... Until today. Here it is :

Now let's start praying that my sister never gets to see this (BB, if you're reading, DO NOT show your mum!) coz i really don't want her to get a stroke or something. And yes, that's partly why i try so hard to pull back on dressing out as crazy as i really want to in real life, and that's because society can't accept it (at least without bitching about it behind my back or to my face. And no, i have no preference, both are as bad haha) and i am not as brave as those lolita girls (especially the non Japanese ones... I've been following a few amazing lolita bloggers from little cities in Europe and i am amazed at how amazingly brave they are, even when they are faced with bullies and ridicules), and also because i am way too old too haha.

But once in a while that part of me peeks out and force their way out.

Like today. Lemme introduce you to my inner me, my alter ego-if you may.

Hehehe don't laugh too much okay. It is okay to be crazy once in a while! It's so much fun dressing up (just gathered up some stuffs that i've had for a while, i do not have a real lolita stuff!) and please myself once in a while. Almost therapeutic. I highly recommend you to do the same, just dress as crazily as you want and snap pictures. Break the rules, be whatever you want to be for once and not what society expects you to be.

My fluffy bunny ears headband was bought in some random stall for IDR 25.000 and it actually lights up *LOL*. I actually collect crazy headbands and i'd love to use them as photo taking props from now on. My fluffy top was bought years ago in some online shops and can be used with normal clothing-the tutu however... Bought in Bugis Street (Singapore) a few years ago but i never had the guts to wear it. EVER. I am planning to go to Japan soon (hopefully next year) and i'll be sure to bring this. At least there i know i won't be attracting stares. Striped knee socks' quite old and the spiky jelly shoes i only wore once because it's a bit too tight :(...

After snapping those pictures i realized that the fluffy top itself has a very cute hoodie so i snapped some more pics!

OOTD+FOTD for G's Bday (+mini review on D'Eyeko Olga Lydia False Lashes)

Hi everybody..

How y'all doin' today? Hopefully better than me. I feel horrible today, i believe this is #Undecided's fault *because we have a cosmic connection like that, when one fell ill the other will soon follow hahaha*. Feeling super bloated and gassy, nauseated with horrible headach too, hopefully that's just PMS...

Not just that, but also because the world seemed to test me too today, first hunny and i went to the bank to deposit some money into my account, i didn't go down because i was in house clothes. I counted many times and i gave it to hunny, then he came back and asked if "this amount" was correct? I was shell-shocked, because it was a lot LESS than what i gave him! Were panicked and frantically looking for the missing amount of money for quite sometime, was so sure it vanished into thin air somehow, then suddenly hunny found it dropped somewhere in the crook of the car *____*. Seriously.

The miserable day continues, my beloved mummy decided to be EXTRA naggy today, haish... Trust me, i love my mum to death and #Undecided can testify that i am one of the most filial daughter ever, but sometimes... She drives me crazy really. First she made us go to the ATM to pay one of her credit card, once we got there we realized, she didn't write the credit card numbers down so had no choice but went back home to get the numbers. Then we went to the ATM again and paid it. Once we reached home, she said she gave us the wrong credit card account to pay because that one we just paid wasn't the one that was due for payment today! GYAAAA MUMMY!!!!

Then she called us non-stop. As you might already know from past entries, we live in a huge house, and we installed in house telephone system to connect with each rooms. She called our extention about 10-15 times in a duration of 2 hours, for some weird and trivial things OMG OMG. I got fed up and turned off the phone, then she sent a maid to our room to tell us to pick up the phone! Then she called three more times to yell at us because we turned the phone down LOLOLOL, FOL.

Now, i originally hesitated to write about this because, well.. people can be judgmental sometimes. And i've encountered those judgmental and holier-than-thou people often. I've read those type of people make judgmental comments on other people's blogs and i have to be frank, i do not appreciate those kind of comments. I will never make stupid, annoying and judgmental comments on other people's blog and i hope everybody in this space would return the respects i've offered by doing the same here :). I read one annoying comment in one of #Undecided's post *LOL* (the one about respecting a woman's wish to or not to be a mummy straightaway after getting married), coming from a guy *double LOL*, seriously, no womb, no comment! HAHAHAHA.

I was concerned if people would mistake my slight annoyance at my mum sometimes as being unfilial or being disrespectful, because that is far from the truth. Then i thought, hey this is my blog, my diary *although open for everybody to read*. Everything in this blog is about my life, and i've always tried to be open and truthful from the start and i'm not gonna stop now just because i am afraid of some "possible haters". LOL. I'm not gonna pretend to be someone else and make up a "better, sweeter" persona just so people would think i am someone else.

I'm going to continue to be true to myself and write whatever i want to write as long as it's not gonna hurt other people (except people that i actually want to hurt... HAHAHAHAHA). Don't get me wrong, i LOVE comments and always oh-so-excited when i saw notifications of new comments, even constructive criticisms are welcome, as long as it's not judgmental/sounds like the commenter's feel like he/she is better than anyone. So please don't stop commenting, dear readers :D.

WOW! That's a super long yabbering that's got nothing to do with the point of this entry ROFL, but you expect no less than that from me, yeah? Always gotta get the rants part out of the way before i can concentrate on the fun part hahaha. Right, moving on now.

I'm assuming everybody's read our entry about our BFF's (G) birthday luncheon? If you haven't... WHY???? Hehehehe... It's our latest joint entry after a long hiatus so please do click on the link and check it out, okay! Anyway, those who have read it would already know what i wore that day (of course, considering the amount of cam-whoring pictures plastered in that entry), but of course... I wouldn't be satisfied if i haven't go on and on in detail about everything that i wore right, down to the make up...

SO! Decided to write one full entry especially dedicated to my outfit and make up for that day! Hohohoho.. Here's the OOTD :

You wouldn't normally get to see my footwear because i take my OOTDs in my walk in closet while most of my footwear i wouldn't wear inside the house because, well.. Like most Asians, we do not wear shoes/sandals (unless it's specifically used for inside the house only) inside our home. This time's an exception because the pink sandals are new. I LOVE my sandals, aren't they pretty??? I would wear my thoroughly cleaned older shoes too, but i don't keep lots of them inside my walk in closet, only some of the most special ones.

Pictures above were taken before i left the house, but as usual because i was in a hurry *G BBM-ed me asking me where i was, she was already at the restaurant by then!*, i didn't remember taking pictures of my bag and accessories, so i took it later, so the make up might be fading a bit already *it's been 9 hours!*.

I went back to my Gyaru roots for my make up this time, i tend to put on Gyaru make up whenever i go out with my BFFs or my hunny only, when i go out with other friends/relatives i try to put on a more grown up make up hahaha. I guess i feel comfortable showing who i really am whenever i am with people closest to me. Here's my FOTD :

Was inspired by a make up page in some local magazine (i don't read magazines anymore, especially not Indonesian ones, but i had to buy some for my work and later give them away to my boss, #Undecided told me i should read them first *kiasu*, so i did... Bad move, i put in a lot more items in my "Shopping List" after reading only three of them *sigh*) using baby blue and pink eyeshadow, but if the page used matte, bolder colors, i opted for lighter, shimmery, more pastel colors to make it look more girly and wearable. I think the whole look screamed pastelly summer, don't you think?

Here's how i do it, super simple steps because i am incapable of putting on complicated make up, especially eye shadow.

1. Face : BB cream, conceal, powder your face.

2. Eyes : Put on light shimmery baby blue eyeshadow all over your lid, leaving your brow bone bare as to not overwhelmed the whole look. I used the blue color in my Smashbox Tokidoki eyeshadow palette.

Next : Put on light shimmery baby pink eyeshadow in the inner half of your lid. I

used the pink color in my Mika make up palette. Smear on a bit under your eyes too.

Look how dry the skin under my eyes are zzzz, that's the only tell-tale sign of my age hahaha, you can't see it unless you're standing 5 cm from my face though hahaha

Then line your eyes with black liquid eyeliner, i prefer dragging them downward whenever i'm doing a gyaru look because low tail makes your eyes appear doll-ish.

I curl my lashes, but not as tight as i usually do (to create super curly ostrich eyelashes haha) because i decided to take my new D'Eyeko Olga Lydia false eye lashes (that i got from Beauty Treats May) for a spin *finally, one of those falsies actually being used hahahaha*.

The hairs are thin and natural looking, i'm not a fan of the fanned out, slightly cris-crossing style...

I find curling eyelashes too tight interferes when you put on your falsies, they also would look a bit obvious because people might see that you're wearing falsies as there would seem to be two different kind of lashes on your eyes! I used my The Body Shop eyelash curler since they create such a natural kind of curl, not my kind of thing at all, but i actually prefer whenever i'm putting on falsies. I coat my eyelashes with my crappy Maybelline mascara (not the turbo boost one, obvi) because i didn't look forward for them to volumize or lengthen my lashes, just to bring them up to blend with the falsies better.

And then... i spent a LOT of time trying to stick them on. Seriously, i couldn't stick falsies properly if my life depends on it zzz. That's probably also due to the lack of practice, since this is probably the third time EVER i'm attempting to put on falsies myself and only the second time i actually wear them out (the other time i only put them on for pictures taking haha). I couldn't control the amount of glue to put on properly, either i put too much that they clump unattractively or i put on too little that their edges wouldn't stick! It doesn't help that i have an extreme tapered eyelids *and have to intentions whatsoever to alter it using eyelid tapes...*.

I kinda regret choosing that day to practice putting on my falsies *LOL*, i really didn't think i'd suck that bad *this Olga Lydia falsies was slightly harder to put on because of its thin, string band compared to the cheapo China falsies i've tried before*! I needed to practice because i have a cousin's wedding coming up on the 16th, and as usual i don't intend to have a make up artist working on me *i much prefer doing my own make up*, and i want to wear falsies on the wedding, dammit!

I ended up screwing both sides, the inner ends both jutted out and i needed to reapply glue on that part, but my Daiso falsies glue's applicator was wide and i didn't see how i could put the glue on that tiny part only without getting the glue all over my eyes!!! The horror! I stubbornly tried anyway and ended up getting glues on my contact lens!!! OMG! I freaked out so BAD! I quickly took the lens out and wash them rapidly before the glue actually dried! *sigh*.

As result of the whole lenses' debacle, my right eye became watery and i had no other choice but to pull the falsie off and attempted to put them on again. Surprised myself that i succeeded right away *huge sigh of relief*, and somehow the right one finally stuck on perfectly while the left... was far from perfect. It wasn't stuck properly at all and i kinda mess it up a bit with the extra glue *sigh*, L later pointed out that one of the lashes actually went down while the next went up, that must be because i stuck a part of it UNDER my actual lashes WTF, stupido hahahaha... Like i said, need more practice! I'd be sure to spare more than 2 hours to get ready if i want to put on falsies from now own then hahaha...

A little review after wearing this falsies for about 9 hours out? It's quite light *because of its real-lashes-like material, of course stiffer and coarser* and comfortable to wear! I hate falsies because i dislike the feeling of having them on my eyes, i feel very bothered! And even though i'd still much prefer not wearing them, D'Eyeko falsies were actually much better than any other falsies *stuck by make up artists* i've worn before. I felt very minimal discomfort while wearing it.

Downside is, i think it looks too natural that it wasn't very obvious i was wearing falsies *for myself lah, dunno if others noticed it rightaway*, i mean... I'd want a very luscious looking lashes, the va va voom kind if i have to go through all those mess to get them on! And i dunno if it's my crappy technique of application, but the falsies made my eyes look sleepier and now as big as they'd be if put on my signature ostrich mascara-ed look. It did made me look less cartoonish than usual i guess haha... I think i looked... calmer? Like a dainty, sweet girl that i am (NOT) hahahaha.

Overall i quite LOVE D'eyeko lashes for its quality (it can be re-used, quite sturdy so i'm guessing it can be used more than 3-5times?) and although i might not purchase them myself (IDR 50.000 for a pair is quite steep i think), i'd be much more welcoming if i see them in my beauty boxes hahaha.

Continuing on with the make up : I then lined my waterline with black pencil eyeliner, halfway only, connecting the end to the black liquid liner on the upper lid. In a true gyaru style, i blinged my inner water liner with super blingy white crayon eyeliner (i went a bit crazy once before and my son actually asked me what's wrong with my eyes, why was it white *LOLOLOL*).

3. Put on soft pinky blushes on the apple of your cheeks, don't forget to smile!

4. You can't see it in the pictures *because as usual i forgot to apply the lippie before i take my pictures* here (but you can see it in the luncheon entry), i put on a fuschia lipstick from Etude House, but i used it as a tint and lightly colored my lips as not to overwhelm the whole look because i already put on so much eye make up.

#Pink's Valentine Look Tutorial

Hi y’all!

So before Valentine's atmosphere's totally passed i'm gonna blog about my Valentine's Day look tutorial in continuation with my Valentine’s Day entry, like I promised : the details on the make up hehe, with a little (and simple, i’m not good enough to make complicated ones yet :p) tutorial too. Here, let me remind you of my make up that day :

As usual, my main focus’ always my eyes, and for this Valentine look I went back to my root, gyaru looks with the appropriate make up and get up :p.

Actually I had no plan for my make up, I never have any *LOL*, I just go with the flow, whatever caught my fancy I will use and sometimes I love the end result sometimes I don’t, but I’m not the kind of girl who would re-do their entire make up if they are not 100% satisfied, I’m way too lazy to do that LOL, but fortunately this time I’m actually very satisfied with the end result, even though the final touches of it was accidental, I’ll tell ya about the accident later.

Okay, for those of you who doesn’t know yet, my base make up is always pretty much the same : TSF Lemon Foundation (the only foundation I use right now since I’m the type who use one foundation up before opening another up, this foundation’s not suitable for you who are looking for a good coverage since it’s super sheer), set with one of my powders depending on my mood (this time my trusty Clinique two way cake because I wanted more coverage, had a healing spot from latest period :p), Clinique concealer under my eyes, DHC concealer on any spot. That covers all of the base. Continue on with the eyes.

I’ve not given up on using cream eye shadow as a base but this time I skipped the primer (and guess what, it actually worked better! No caking and shifting the whole day, I mean at least 7 hours because that’s roughly how long I had the eye make up on before removing them, it was still in perfect condition when I removed them at 11 PM! It was cakey when I put on primer before the cream eye shadow last time) and only used the pale pearly baby blue from my Australis Palette, spreading them on 75% of my entire lid.

Then I set them with the pale bluish mint green from this eye shadow duo :

If you don’t know yet, one of my biggest (embarrassing) secret is, I always opened new cosmetics on special days, and Valentine’s one on the top of the list for special days, so this eye shadow duo’s brand new. I have a habit of buying random cosmetics whenever I’m abroad, and I never really pay attention on the brands, as long as the color (or packaging, the latter more often than the former, I’m afraid) caught my eyes I’d buy’em, I do it so often I don’t remember where I bought this eye shadow, probably Malaysia or Thailand. I’ve no idea the brand for this eye shadow, it stated “ Pink Kiss” on the lid, so probably that’s the brand?

The info on the back of the eye shadow’s written in Japanese but it stated “Made in Taiwan” LOL. Wonder if I bought this at Daiso??? I cannot remember though…

Anyway, I swiped the pale minty color all over my eyelid and it’s super bold for such a pale color so the pigmentation’s pretty good.

Sorry for blurry pictures, I’m still struggling to take pictures of my own make ups, haizh. Anyway, I used the bright sky blue from the eye shadow duo in the corner of my eyes, swiping them halfway in, I was very pleased with the effect they created LOL. This was when the accident happen, I apparently forgot to clean my eye shadow brush the last time I used them *yes yes, horrible, I know I’m disgusting* and there were still left over color on the brush, the color was navy or purple (I cannot be sure, but definitely from that family), I meant to blend the sky blue colour on my eye socket but I was shocked when the navy/purplish color appear on my eye socket, super bold some more!

Once I got over my initial shock I quickly use my blending brush to blend all the color together, adding a bit of white eye shadow to tame the super bold navy color (because it was very bold! Like I was boxed by someone :p), blending blending blending, and I was super happy when I was done blending and the three (bluish mint, sky blue and purplish navy) colors actually create a very pretty color combo if blended enough. I also applied white eye shadow on my brow bone to define it.

Then I line my eyes (thick, gyaru looks require thick but not super thick *it’s in the middle ground LOL* line) with my usual Dior liquid eyeliner, dragging it longer than my actual eyes (important step to create a big, dolly eyes, my hunny asked me whether I’m using a new lens because my eyes appeared very large that day, no hunny it’s the same lenses you saw me in everyday, it’s the make up technique *smug* LOL).

Then what else but my super trusted Maybelline Volum’ Express Turbo Boost mascara (I realize most of my make up routine’s pretty much the same, only playing with different color and application, but the main ingredients are also the same LOL, boring old me), I put on three layers to reached my signature Ostrich lashes :p. (yeah I know the beauty rules about not applying too thick of a mascara, but I don’t always follow the rules, I also love to apply lots of blushes LOL, just do what suits you girls, rules are meant to be broken anyway :P).

Finished the eye area with (also the usual) black pencil liner on waterline, starting from the outer part of my eyes, going halfway in, I almost never line my entire waterline with black eye shadow anymore unless I’m going for a very dark and sultry look (which is seldom :P).

Eyes all done! Very easy, yeah? Next, another must on my make up routine : blush on! I used a pink blush on from my Australis make up palette, it’s paler in real life I dunno why my camera made the blush on look darker on the picture.

It’s the pinkiest blusher on the make up palette, perfect for a cutie-pie, gyaru-romantic theme I’m going for. Applied them on my cheeks, smiling widely while doing so :D.

Finished the look with lippies. I’ve been playing with bold colors on the last month or so, since my make up is already quite loud (colorful-although using pastel colors family-eyes and pinky cheeks) I tone the look down with only using VOV Lip Color Care in Cherry. I have two variants of this Lip Color, another one in Lemon (which I first used on CNY eve). I’m not even sure if I should categorize this as a lip balm or a lip gloss? I guess it’s one of the products that does both since it claims to moisturize and protect (it does, pretty good job, I’m loving them right now, I keep on piling them up) but they are also super glossy (love glossy lippies!). Also don’t know why it’s called Lip Color Care since the Lemon one is completely clear, the Cherry one has a light pinkish color’s that’s subtle but quite visible since my natural lip color’s pale pink.

Don't ask me where to get this ya, my mummy bpught those for me when she went to Hong Kong last time, along with other stuffs (plenty, she always goes overboard whenever she's buying me stuffs), i also never seen them when i cosmetic shopping. It's probably been discontinued already by VOV.

This picture is taken after we got home, roughly seven hours after I put them on. The make up are still quite intact only a little bit *more vivid IRL*.

Oh, another new item : my perfume of course :p. I opened up my Paris Hilton Eau de Parfum Spray in Tease. As I said before I’m horrible at describing scents, so here’s what I found on google :

Tease by Paris Hilton is a great floral chypre for women and pays great homage to Marilyn Monroe through it’s sexy, yet innocent modern interpretation of glamorous 60s fragrances. This great celebrity fragrance has notes that incorporate fuji apple, white peach, bergamot, white flowers, amber, blond wood and hot sand.

Top note: Bergamot, Apple, White Peach, Sea Accord
Middle note: Jasmine, Frangipani Flower, Tuberose

Paris Hilton chanelling Marylin Monroe i guess LOL

I love love love this perfume, I do like a lot of Paris Hilton’s perfumes. This perfume’s sexy and classy, floral and feminine. I don’t find many floral perfumes that I love (I love Kenzo and rose fragrances though), I mostly prefer fruity scents, but I really love this one. I feel oh-so-grown-up when I spritz it on LOLOL (yeah, I’m old but I never feel old, whatever). This fragrance also reminds me of an old perfume I had, probably a Christian Dior’s (it was a hand-me-down from my sis-in-law CJ, I remember, also came with a purple bottle, but I don’t remember the name) so it’s very nostalgic for me too.

Oh, remember i told you i won the first ever giveaway (by Elrica) that i've ever won? Yeah, it arrived sometime ago (Elrica e-mailed me explaining that Singapore Post wouldn't accept it since it's liquid so she had to send it to me when she went back to Jakarta later on CNY), here it is :

On another note, yesterday we (me and hunny and my cousin L) went to ATS travel to arrange our Europe tour! I think it's really happening!!!! GYAAAAA SO EXCITED! Will me depositing the down payment tomorrow!

Then me and hunny also went on our usual movie date, another one of his pick (there's so much action movies lately, and old action movie stars seems to be making a strong come back. We also caught Arnold Schwarzenegger-is it just me that needed to google him just to type his name correctly? Actually i even went to copy-paste the name from google-'s The Last Stand few weeks ago, i wrote about it in one of my drafted entries that i've not published yet LOL). Seems like the only genre we watched lately's action (except for Mama, which is a downer anyway).

This is the typical action movie, bad guy-turned-hero type of movie. I guess guys loves this kind of stuffs. Again, i was't bored, but definitely not blown away either. Seen a lot better actions movies before *LOL*. But this is much better than It's A Good Day To Die Hard for me, at least there was still a back story instead of never ending action scenes :p. So if your guy asked you to accompany you to watch it, say yes, it's a pretty good to-pass-your-time kind of movie. And as usual, i'm gonna point out the eye candy of course (it's becoming a thing, yeah? I think i'm gonna make it my signature LOL).There were two for me!'

Sung Kang

You probably regonized him as Han on Fast And Furious Tokyo Drift and the likes? I've been seeing him everywhere lately, like in every movie that needs an Asian actor LOL. A good thing too because i find him to be very cute. I love small-eyed guys LOL. I think his career's been really taking up too, he's one of the main character in this movie (other than Sylvester Stallone's of course) He's also one of the men whom i was surprised to learn his real age, he's 41. Doesn't look a day off 35 to me. And he looked so young and boyish especially in this movie. Total babe.

Jason Momoa

Saw him on Conan The Barbarian and thought he's very sexy LOL. He's super huge, like a bear. But in a good way. I love muscly men but overtly muscled (body builder type) is a no no, i find them very appalling. Jason Momoa's huge and muscular in a very acceptable way LOL.
