Hi everybody!
Today's post is a little bit different than my usual ones but one that i believe might be quite useful for those of you who have your own business/brands or looking forward to start one.
As a millennial with mostly millennials readers and followers, our career paths are very different than the ones our parents or grandparents have - most of us prefer more independent and/or creative career paths, and most would love nothing more than work for ourselves, having our own brands and businesses.
I am personally a full time blogger/influencer with some other businesses on the sides - and i used to have my own fashion boutique so i actually wish i knew some of the knowledge that i posses now back then because i believe that would really help out my business tremendously.
If you are in the beauty/fashion industry, especially in Asia, you might not necessarily think that it's important to actually branding your products as most online shops can just sell whatever and thrive, but if you want your business to grow bigger and better, i think it's extremely important to brand your business and here's why.

It is important to brand your business, as we are talking more about fashion/beauty industry here - let's use this an example : even if you buy clothing from a supplier and sell it again, people would take more notice and consider your more seriously if you brand it and make it your own. Let alone if you actually create and produce your own clothing!
This can begin as easy as coming up with a name for your brand and putting a label with your own brand on it. Not sure where to start, go check out Roxwell Waterhouse because they can help you set up everything and make your life so much easier!
2. Make your business more professional.
Let's be honest, most of today's brands starts small and even from home, it is not a bad thing at all of course but people do tend to overlook new, unknown brands before they start taking off. You can start better by making your business/store look more professional with your own name and label. If you see two people selling the same soap, would you be more interested in the one without any label and totally plain or the one with a name and professional label on it? Personally i would be more inclined to give the one that's more professional looking a chance.
3. Set your brand apart from others
In this day and age everything can and WILL be copied. Even if you come up with a very unique, edgy and different kind of product/design, it will be reproduce and copied in no time. But you can set yourself apart and more importantly, be credited to be the original, the inventor of the said product if you have your own brand with a label on it. After all, it would be hard to know and credit a brand who started a trend if you don't even have a name or label for it, wouldn't it? And worse, without a brand it'll be easy for a competitor who does have a brand to take credit of your invention/design!
Honestly i can go on and on all day, but i think we all can see my point already. Aside from my ongoing businesses, i still have plenty that is on planning level - but you can be sure i would definitely brand up and put a label on it!
